Having moved here several months ago, this was a new vet visit for us after trying several in our area. The differences couldn't have been further apart. The front desk was consistently friendly, helpful, and efficient. The vet tech and vet (Dr. Cook) were super thorough, kind, and treated my old shelter dog like they loved him. Both spent much time with me gathering pertinent history, providing information, and answering all my questions. This place if full of decent folks who seem like they love their work, which makes all the difference in the world. I look forward to entrusting the care of my pets to this vetinary hospital for many years to come.

This place is ok and the people that work here are nice enough, and the doctors are good. It's just every time I come here I feel like I'm getting nickeled and dimed and sold on everything under the sun.. Low estimates here, high estimates there, and it never ever comes out on the low side. I especially dislike how they hold the heart worm medicine hostage until you pay for the heart worm test. I recall I brought my dog here once because he had bloody stool. They were closing soon and didn't have time to run some of the preliminary tests, so they said I can either pay to have the comprehensive tests completed or take him to the vet hospital off 40. I wasn't interested in taking him to the vet hospital. And the reason they were closing early was because the business owner was taking the entire staff on an all-expense paid weekend getaway to a resort in PA. Honestly, it's very nice of them to do that for their people..but when you are waiting and someone is showing high/low estimates in the thousand range, while saying we need to close because we've been ripping people off so well we can afford to pay for everyone to go on vacation, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I searched and searched for months for a rabbit savvy vet and happily came across Kingsbrook! I was able to set up an appointment for Mr Waffles within a week over the phone to get his first checkup. The entire staff was extremely nice, helpful and had an understanding of rabbits. The girls at the front desk fawned over my bunny. The vet tech knew exactly how to hold him and had a lot more rabbit knowledge than I was expecting. The vet herself took the time to make him comfortable and find the best way to exam him and draw blood. I was questioned all about his diet and living situation, which is a great sign that they know what's best for rabbits they gave me a packet of information about taking care of rabbits and told me about the source and why they trusted that source. I will say the bill was sort of high, but rabbits are considered exotic and I wanted the best vet I could find so it wasnt a problem for me. His checkup was $90, and pre-surgery bloodwork was $199. I was also given a paper that outlined the total cost for the nuetering surgery, about $300, and they explained everything on the bill. That price includes a nail trim and the take home pain medication. I'll be setting up his nuetering very soon and update this review after I see how that goes !

I love these guys! Everyone who works there - from the receptionists, to the assistants who take us to the waiting room, to the Doctors - is exceptional. I'm a first time dog owner and new to the area so convenience is why I decided to go and I am so lucky my neighborhood vet is so wonderful. Every question I have, every error I make, they walk me through things with love and concern. I never feel rushed off the phone or out the door or feel stupid for questions asked. 10 stars if I could!!! Thank you Kingsbrook Animal Hospital for an all-star clinic

The staff here is amazing!!! My dog was a new patient as we just moved to the area. He has many health issues and they were on top on off getting all of his records from my previous vet. When he was there for treatment they gave me the cell phone number for the vet tech watching him and were constantly in contact with me. I was beyond impressed! If only human doctors had the same bedside manner!!!

Such a lovely hospital with a wonderful staff! We recently lost our 16 year old cat and every single person was beyond caring and treated him like he was their only patient. As someone with a lot of pets, the staff is understanding, thoughtful and always make it a point to give us recommendations within our budget. I live in Germantown and will make the trip to Frederick to take my pets to see Dr. Riley and our friends at Kingsbrook every single time!

I have been coming to Kingsbrook for 4 years now. Gatsby is my first dog ever so I was clearly clueless about how to care for my dog. Kingsbrook has given me the tools, from day one, to set me up for success with my dog. He has been a bit challenging as he's a small dog that gets a foreign object in his stomach about once a year. They have held my hand for every surgery and for every tough moment I have had. They are great at giving me feedback on what to do with my dog and preparing me for the future with him and his potential procedures and upcoming bills for check ups and vaccinations. Whenever I call they pull up my information right away and have his history there which saves me a lot of time when explaining what's going on with him. They treat you like family the moment you step into the office and they always make sure to answer all questions and give you anything that you need.
I use to live 2 mins away and now live 20 mins away and have a bunch of vets near me.I tell them every time I'm there that I will never go to another vet.

I took my dog in for her yearly shots which would've been around $250 but when I get there they hand me a bill for $750 and then I was told my dog had a tooth infection, needed x-rays, teeth cleaning, etc. which was 'urgent' and needed to be done 'IMMEDIATELY'... which of course being a dog mom I knew something that needed to be taken care of when I inquired as to how much this was going to cost me they proceeded to show me another bill for $1500 but couldn't get the surgery until 2 months out- I was shocked but if that's what my dog needed I wouldv'e dished it out without hesitation but something just did not sit right with me so I went and got a second opinion and when I told the second vet what Kingsbrook was charging me- THEY WERE SHOCKED. McLellan Vet charged me a little over $300 for the SAME SERVICES, they told me there was a lot of FLUFF (extra unnecessary charges) on the original bill that my dog didn't need. HOW DARE THEY TRY TO PLAY ON MY EMOTIONS FOR MY PET AND MILK ME FOR AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY POSSIBLY COULD!! Needless to say I got her all fixed and squared away within a week of the original appointment.I WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER BRING MY PET HERE EVER. MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT YOUR BILL- THEY WILL ADD ON EXTRA BS AND TELL YOU ITS NECESSARY AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A BAD PERSON FOR NOT TAKING THEIR WORD FOR IT. BS

My dogs have been here for annual check ups, vaccinations, dental work and surgery. Every encounter has been a positive one and we will continue to bring our furry family. They are more into selling you their products. They wont stop insisting and calling you untill you buy. I preffer a vet thats more 20+ yrs in experience and can explain in detail what is going on with my dog. I took my dog from KB to a different vet for the same issue and got more told for a less price. KB were more into playing with my dog. Really?! He gets that attention at the dog park. So its really up to you, are you the type that settles for one answer and whoop tee do or you like to get a second BETTER opinion? I gave it 2 stars for the smiles they give even tho this is not a dentist office.

These guys are the best. Even after moving, we still make the trek out to Frederick as needed. Everyone at Kingsbrook is always a joy to correspond with. They truly know how to work with my cat to make her feel comfortable, never pressure me into anything, seem to have my pet's best interest and comfort at heart, and always seem to have sound, professional advice.
You get the impression that everyone at Kingsbrook loves their job and everything they accomplish for families and their pets. Ive never been given a reason to look elsewhere.

My furbaby Pepe met his new vet today. Dr. Cook is the kindest, most thorough vet we have ever had. He held and kissed Pepe like he was his own, spending a lot of time with us learning about his history. He has a warm personality and is truly an animal lover. He and the techs listened to all of my concerns and I never felt rushed by anyone. The entire staff here is amazing, holding him so lovingly during his shots and cuddling him. The front desk girls were also helpful and wonderful. I had an entire team of people helping us during our visit and they could not have been nicer. So happy my baby is in such good hands. If anyone is looking for a new vet, this is where you want to be.

I was in absolute awe with the staff here. They are so kind, so warm and gentle, and patient with both my pet and myself. I saw Dr. Riley and I was impressed with how thorough she was in her examination. I not once felt pressured to spend more than I needed. I can't say enough great things about the techs and staff. From Rush, to Aaron, Tiki and Julia, all so warm and caring.I am happy I came here and will be transferring my other pets here including my nephew dogs as long as their high quality of service continues, I am their customer. We have been going to Kingsbrook with our cat for three years now. He is older, and from his special appointments for kidney check-ups, to his regular exams, the vet techs and vets are amazing. They are kind and focused on making both him and I as comfortable as possible. Dr. Walker always walks us through all of the information and possible treatments before we make a decision. While not the cheapest in the area, I will definitely continue to bring my cat there for the great service and people!

Kingsbrook animal hospital goes above and beyond to make sure that they treat you and your pet as part of their own family. My 4 pound Yorkie needed to undergo surgery to remove 13 bladder stones and have his teeth removed!! I was terrified to put him into surgery, but everybody at Kingsbrook completely put my mind at ease! Dr. Davis took extra time to explain what was going on with our dog and how he would correct the problem. He even gave my 6th grader a quick biology lesson utilizing the x-rays of our pup! On the day of the surgery the technician personally text messaged me before they started surgery and the staff made several phone calls to keep me updated during and after! They put my mind at ease and assured me he was doing great! Post-op my dog is so much happier and healthier! Not even 1 week later and I have already received three check-up phone calls from Dr. Davis; not because he has to check in, but because I honestly believe he cares about our dogs recovery! I highly recommend Kingsbrook Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian for their pets. Theyre not your ordinary vet clinic. Theyre more like a family whose number one priority is to keep you and your pet as happy and healthy as they possible can!

My kitty, Tailer, has been a regular patient at Kingsbrook Animal Hospital for over six years. She is almost sixteen years old and has multiple chronic health issues. This past month, she was very, very sick. The entire staff has been just wonderful to us as we have been weighing out options and treatments plans that I am comfortable with. On one particularly low day, a few weeks ago, I think I had every single staff member working there that day, hugging me, patting my shoulder or crying with me. They are truly a knowledgeable and compassionate office, that is also extremely professional and clean. I 100% recommend them!

My dog Peanut has had a cough and congestion since August. My previous vet could not figure out why, so I decided to get a second opinion. I am now a customer with Kingsbrook. Dr. Riley and Dr. Davis have both treated my dog and I am so impressed with their expertise, kindness and commitment to making sure they get to the bottom of what is going on. This past week Peanut had a procedure to help us determine exactly what is causing this. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Julie and Dr. Riley were at taking care of my dog. They kept in constant contact with me, providing me updates until it was time to bring Peanut home. Thank you Dr. Riley and Julie for your kindness and for caring for my dog. Your professionalism and dedication is appreciated!

We just got a new pup, Wiley and we just moved to the area so we have not had the chance to take our other pup Sadie in for a check-up yet. We took Wiley in for an exam because we just got him from rescue and wanted to make sure he has a clean bill of health. We worked with Kiersten, Nora and Dr. Riley. From the time I called to set the appointment up to leaving the office, the visit was more than fantastic. They were all so welcoming, patient and loving to Mr. Wiley. He can be a lot to handle and gets himself worked up in certain situations, but Dr. Riley and Nora were so great and patient with him. They were super informative and helpful and made sure we had all of the help we needed to get started welcoming him into our family. We are so happy we chose to go with Kingsbrook, they are phenomenal!

We are new to the area and our Husky broke his canine tooth leaving him in awful pain. I googled local places and this one stood out and the location was perfect. It's scary coming from another state and leaving behind our family friend veterinarian. I feel it was fate bc this place was everything I could ever want for my sweet boy in such an awful situation. The staff is so kind and explained everything so thoroughly. Tucker felt comfortable the second he walked in and made himself at home for the day. They even hung out with my kids while I went over after care instructions. I couldn't say enough great things about this place. I have been in the veterinary field for over 15 years, and have worked with practices across the country (I'm originally from California). Kingsbrook Animal Hospital is by far the best clinic I have ever been to, including the small animal practices I have worked at before my specialization. If you want exceptional care, customer service, quality medicine, and compassion, you have found the right place for your pets. I will never take my furry companions anywhere else. By far, the best veterinary practice in the area!!!!

I had to bring my cockatiel in today after the sudden death of his companion just to make sure there was no illness involved that could put him in danger as well. Dr. Cardella was very good and understanding as always and was very good with my Pete. They even worked with me to find the most cost effective way to handle the cremation of my little Iago who passed. All of the staff here are amazing and they truly do care for not just the animals but their human companions as well. I brought my little guy's body in and they stored him for me until he can be cremated and even made me a clay impression of his talon prints that I can keep with his ashes. I would highly recommend Kingsbrook to anyone with pets in the Frederick area. I make the 20 minute drive from Hagerstown to see them.

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, so I have been to KAH with all of my pets for various reasons. Every time we are at KAH, my pets are treated with compassion whether it's for routine vaccines or for more serious conditions. The entire staff - the admin team, the techs, and the doctors - are wonderful with all my pets. They really take the time to explain to me what is going on, what the options are, etc. They are always available for follow-up conversations if/when needed. I've moved around quite a bit so I've been to many veterinary practices (primary care and specialists) and KAH is by far the best!

9/18/15 ... In the past week and a half one of my dogs was critically ill, and the care and consideration we were shown, was, as usual phenomenal. And with their care, our 17 year old bichon is doing as well as can be expected for a dog his age. I cannot imagine taking my bichons to any other vet. The drive from Potomac is well worth it.
I've been asked before, (having been involved in bichon rescue for many years), who I would recommend in Montgomery County. My reply is, if there was someone in Montgomery County I'd recommend...that's where I'd go. I go to Frederick because Kingsbrook is the BEST!!
3/18/15 ...For those of you who don't know, KB has just added the services of Dr. Susan Dannis, a veternarian who does acupuncture. We have taken our Duke a 16.5 year old Bichon Frise and he is seeming to do better. Just another reason to consider going to Kingsbrook......I've found Dr. Dannis to be as caring and loving to our Duke as everyone else at Kingsbrook.
I live in Potomac, MD and drive the 26 miles to Kingsbrook to take my dogs for the BEST veterinary care in MD. I have been involved in Bichon Rescue for 20 plus years and since they have been in business, Kingsbrook has been our "go to vet".... They have always treated our rescues with as much love and care as they have our personal pets. If you have a Bichon Frise.....KINGSBROOK IS THE PLACE TO GO...
I can positively say, I believe that Kingsbrook has treated more bichons frises than any other vet in Maryland and knows Bichons better than any vet in Maryland.
If you want to go to a vet's office, that in addition to caring veterinarians and also has a loving, caring and knowledgeable staff...then Kingsbrook is the place for you to go.

Kingsbrook Animal Hospital, you guys are truly amazing. Dr. Davis, Julie and the entire staff was wonderful today! I spent 4 hours there hanging around because I was so nervous about Raven and Diesel going under for their teeth cleaning. I have always known how wonderful this place is, but today behind the scenes I witnessed first hand how much care & compassion they all give to each and every pet they treat. Everyone here is always smiling and pleasant. These days you don't see that as often as you should. Thank you Kingsbrook Animal Hospital!!!!

Having moved here several months ago, this was a new vet visit for us after trying several in our area. The differences couldn't have been further apart. The front desk was consistently friendly, helpful, and efficient. The vet tech and vet (Dr. Cook) were super thorough, kind, and treated my old shelter dog like they loved him. Both spent much time with me gathering pertinent history, providing information, and answering all my questions. This place if full of decent folks who seem like they love their work, which makes all the difference in the world. I look forward to entrusting the care of my pets to this vetinary hospital for many years to come.

This place is ok and the people that work here are nice enough, and the doctors are good. It's just every time I come here I feel like I'm getting nickeled and dimed and sold on everything under the sun.. Low estimates here, high estimates there, and it never ever comes out on the low side. I especially dislike how they hold the heart worm medicine hostage until you pay for the heart worm test. I recall I brought my dog here once because he had bloody stool. They were closing soon and didn't have time to run some of the preliminary tests, so they said I can either pay to have the comprehensive tests completed or take him to the vet hospital off 40. I wasn't interested in taking him to the vet hospital. And the reason they were closing early was because the business owner was taking the entire staff on an all-expense paid weekend getaway to a resort in PA. Honestly, it's very nice of them to do that for their people..but when you are waiting and someone is showing high/low estimates in the thousand range, while saying we need to close because we've been ripping people off so well we can afford to pay for everyone to go on vacation, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I searched and searched for months for a rabbit savvy vet and happily came across Kingsbrook! I was able to set up an appointment for Mr Waffles within a week over the phone to get his first checkup. The entire staff was extremely nice, helpful and had an understanding of rabbits. The girls at the front desk fawned over my bunny. The vet tech knew exactly how to hold him and had a lot more rabbit knowledge than I was expecting. The vet herself took the time to make him comfortable and find the best way to exam him and draw blood. I was questioned all about his diet and living situation, which is a great sign that they know what's best for rabbits they gave me a packet of information about taking care of rabbits and told me about the source and why they trusted that source. I will say the bill was sort of high, but rabbits are considered exotic and I wanted the best vet I could find so it wasnt a problem for me. His checkup was $90, and pre-surgery bloodwork was $199. I was also given a paper that outlined the total cost for the nuetering surgery, about $300, and they explained everything on the bill. That price includes a nail trim and the take home pain medication. I'll be setting up his nuetering very soon and update this review after I see how that goes !

I'm a first time dog owner and new to the area so convenience is why I decided to go and I am so lucky my neighborhood vet is so wonderful. Every question I have, every error I make, they walk me through things with love and concern. As someone with a lot of pets, the staff is understanding, thoughtful and always make it a point to give us recommendations within our budget. I have been coming to Kingsbrook for 4 years now. Gatsby is my first dog ever so I was clearly clueless about how to care for my dog. Kingsbrook has given me the tools, from day one, to set me up for success with my dog. He has been a bit challenging as he's a small dog that gets a foreign object in his stomach about once a year. They have held my hand for every surgery and for every tough moment I have had. They are great at giving me feedback on what to do with my dog and preparing me for the future with him and his potential procedures and upcoming bills for check ups and vaccinations. Whenever I call they pull up my information right away and have his history there which saves me a lot of time when explaining what's going on with him. They treat you like family the moment you step into the office and they always make sure to answer all questions and give you anything that you need.
I use to live 2 mins away and now live 20 mins away and have a bunch of vets near me.I tell them every time I'm there that I will never go to another vet.

I took my dog in for her yearly shots which would've been around $250 but when I get there they hand me a bill for $750 and then I was told my dog had a tooth infection, needed x-rays, teeth cleaning, etc. which was 'urgent' and needed to be done 'IMMEDIATELY'... which of course being a dog mom I knew something that needed to be taken care of when I inquired as to how much this was going to cost me they proceeded to show me another bill for $1500 but couldn't get the surgery until 2 months out- I was shocked but if that's what my dog needed I wouldv'e dished it out without hesitation but something just did not sit right with me so I went and got a second opinion and when I told the second vet what Kingsbrook was charging me- THEY WERE SHOCKED. McLellan Vet charged me a little over $300 for the SAME SERVICES, they told me there was a lot of FLUFF (extra unnecessary charges) on the original bill that my dog didn't need. HOW DARE THEY TRY TO PLAY ON MY EMOTIONS FOR MY PET AND MILK ME FOR AS MUCH MONEY AS THEY POSSIBLY COULD!! Needless to say I got her all fixed and squared away within a week of the original appointment.I WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER BRING MY PET HERE EVER. MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT YOUR BILL- THEY WILL ADD ON EXTRA BS AND TELL YOU ITS NECESSARY AND MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A BAD PERSON FOR NOT TAKING THEIR WORD FOR IT. BS

They are more into selling you their products. They wont stop insisting and calling you untill you buy. I preffer a vet thats more 20+ yrs in experience and can explain in detail what is going on with my dog. I took my dog from KB to a different vet for the same issue and got more told for a less price. KB were more into playing with my dog. Really?! He gets that attention at the dog park. So its really up to you, are you the type that settles for one answer and whoop tee do or you like to get a second BETTER opinion? I gave it 2 stars for the smiles they give even tho this is not a dentist office.

These guys are the best. Even after moving, we still make the trek out to Frederick as needed. Everyone at Kingsbrook is always a joy to correspond with. They truly know how to work with my cat to make her feel comfortable, never pressure me into anything, seem to have my pet's best interest and comfort at heart, and always seem to have sound, professional advice.
You get the impression that everyone at Kingsbrook loves their job and everything they accomplish for families and their pets. Ive never been given a reason to look elsewhere.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. As soon as you walk in, you can already feel so much love outpouring towards your pet. Kingsbrook goes above and beyond to make sure your pet gets all care that he/she needs, plus more. You can tell that the staff truly lives and breathes for animals, and cares about the well-being of your pet as if he/she were their own. I would absolutely recommend this vet to anyone and everyone!!

My furbaby Pepe met his new vet today. Dr. Cook is the kindest, most thorough vet we have ever had. He held and kissed Pepe like he was his own, spending a lot of time with us learning about his history. He has a warm personality and is truly an animal lover. He and the techs listened to all of my concerns and I never felt rushed by anyone. The entire staff here is amazing, holding him so lovingly during his shots and cuddling him. The front desk girls were also helpful and wonderful. I had an entire team of people helping us during our visit and they could not have been nicer. So happy my baby is in such good hands. If anyone is looking for a new vet, this is where you want to be.

I was in absolute awe with the staff here. They are so kind, so warm and gentle, and patient with both my pet and myself. I saw Dr. Riley and I was impressed with how thorough she was in her examination. I not once felt pressured to spend more than I needed. I can't say enough great things about the techs and staff. From Rush, to Aaron, Tiki and Julia, all so warm and caring.I am happy I came here and will be transferring my other pets here including my nephew dogs as long as their high quality of service continues, I am their customer. We have been going to Kingsbrook with our cat for three years now. He is older, and from his special appointments for kidney check-ups, to his regular exams, the vet techs and vets are amazing. They are kind and focused on making both him and I as comfortable as possible. Dr. Walker always walks us through all of the information and possible treatments before we make a decision. While not the cheapest in the area, I will definitely continue to bring my cat there for the great service and people!

Kingsbrook animal hospital goes above and beyond to make sure that they treat you and your pet as part of their own family. My 4 pound Yorkie needed to undergo surgery to remove 13 bladder stones and have his teeth removed!! I was terrified to put him into surgery, but everybody at Kingsbrook completely put my mind at ease! Dr. Davis took extra time to explain what was going on with our dog and how he would correct the problem. He even gave my 6th grader a quick biology lesson utilizing the x-rays of our pup! On the day of the surgery the technician personally text messaged me before they started surgery and the staff made several phone calls to keep me updated during and after! They put my mind at ease and assured me he was doing great! Post-op my dog is so much happier and healthier! Not even 1 week later and I have already received three check-up phone calls from Dr. Davis; not because he has to check in, but because I honestly believe he cares about our dogs recovery! I highly recommend Kingsbrook Animal Hospital to anyone who is looking for a veterinarian for their pets. Theyre not your ordinary vet clinic. Theyre more like a family whose number one priority is to keep you and your pet as happy and healthy as they possible can!

My kitty, Tailer, has been a regular patient at Kingsbrook Animal Hospital for over six years. She is almost sixteen years old and has multiple chronic health issues. This past month, she was very, very sick. The entire staff has been just wonderful to us as we have been weighing out options and treatments plans that I am comfortable with. On one particularly low day, a few weeks ago, I think I had every single staff member working there that day, hugging me, patting my shoulder or crying with me. They are truly a knowledgeable and compassionate office, that is also extremely professional and clean. I 100% recommend them!

My dog Peanut has had a cough and congestion since August. My previous vet could not figure out why, so I decided to get a second opinion. I am now a customer with Kingsbrook. Dr. Riley and Dr. Davis have both treated my dog and I am so impressed with their expertise, kindness and commitment to making sure they get to the bottom of what is going on. This past week Peanut had a procedure to help us determine exactly what is causing this. I cannot say enough about how wonderful Julie and Dr. Riley were at taking care of my dog. They kept in constant contact with me, providing me updates until it was time to bring Peanut home. Thank you Dr. Riley and Julie for your kindness and for caring for my dog. Your professionalism and dedication is appreciated!

We just got a new pup, Wiley and we just moved to the area so we have not had the chance to take our other pup Sadie in for a check-up yet. We took Wiley in for an exam because we just got him from rescue and wanted to make sure he has a clean bill of health. We worked with Kiersten, Nora and Dr. Riley. From the time I called to set the appointment up to leaving the office, the visit was more than fantastic. They were all so welcoming, patient and loving to Mr. Wiley. He can be a lot to handle and gets himself worked up in certain situations, but Dr. Riley and Nora were so great and patient with him. They were super informative and helpful and made sure we had all of the help we needed to get started welcoming him into our family. We are so happy we chose to go with Kingsbrook, they are phenomenal!

We have a dog who is sweet at home and a monster at the vet. The Kingsbrook staff is amazing with working with her and never making us feel like we have a bad dog. They appreciate her challenges with the vet and are so responsive to her unique needs. And they make us feel like they still like her too :). We would never go anywhere else for vet care for a difficult to treat dog!

Omg this place is the Bee's knees, the best thing since sliced bread!!!! The staff is amazing! Their demeanor and facilities are superb! I will never go anywhere else after my experience with their office tonight. It's a far cry from my last veterinarian experience with a corporate veterinarian facility. I totally wish they could become my primary care physicians. I'm pretty jealous my dog has an amazing vet office caring for him

We are new to the area and our Husky broke his canine tooth leaving him in awful pain. I googled local places and this one stood out and the location was perfect. It's scary coming from another state and leaving behind our family friend veterinarian. I feel it was fate bc this place was everything I could ever want for my sweet boy in such an awful situation. The staff is so kind and explained everything so thoroughly. Tucker felt comfortable the second he walked in and made himself at home for the day. They even hung out with my kids while I went over after care instructions. I couldn't say enough great things about this place. I look forward to bringing my dogs here and couldn't have asked for a better first experience (except maybe better circumstances!!). Thank you all!! Xo

I am a veterinarian in the area. I specialize in poultry and don't like to work on my own pets because I'm too emotional about my own animals. I have been in the veterinary field for over 15 years, and have worked with practices across the country (I'm originally from California). Kingsbrook Animal Hospital is by far the best clinic I have ever been to, including the small animal practices I have worked at before my specialization. If you want exceptional care, customer service, quality medicine, and compassion, you have found the right place for your pets. I will never take my furry companions anywhere else. By far, the best veterinary practice in the area!!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this vet. I come to them for all of my needs for my animals. I had to bring my cockatiel in today after the sudden death of his companion just to make sure there was no illness involved that could put him in danger as well. Dr. Cardella was very good and understanding as always and was very good with my Pete. They even worked with me to find the most cost effective way to handle the cremation of my little Iago who passed. All of the staff here are amazing and they truly do care for not just the animals but their human companions as well. I brought my little guy's body in and they stored him for me until he can be cremated and even made me a clay impression of his talon prints that I can keep with his ashes. I would highly recommend Kingsbrook to anyone with pets in the Frederick area. I make the 20 minute drive from Hagerstown to see them.

I can't imagine going anywhere else after coming here. I'm grateful for the care and compassion towards my sweet Holly. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, so I have been to KAH with all of my pets for various reasons. Every time we are at KAH, my pets are treated with compassion whether it's for routine vaccines or for more serious conditions. The entire staff - the admin team, the techs, and the doctors - are wonderful with all my pets. They really take the time to explain to me what is going on, what the options are, etc. They are always available for follow-up conversations if/when needed. I've moved around quite a bit so I've been to many veterinary practices (primary care and specialists) and KAH is by far the best!

Cook, Cardella, Davis and Walker have always taken the time to provide excellent care to both our pets and us! Both of our dogs love the attention that they get when they come to KAH!

9/18/15 ... In the past week and a half one of my dogs was critically ill, and the care and consideration we were shown, was, as usual phenomenal. And with their care, our 17 year old bichon is doing as well as can be expected for a dog his age. I cannot imagine taking my bichons to any other vet. The drive from Potomac is well worth it.
I've been asked before, (having been involved in bichon rescue for many years), who I would recommend in Montgomery County. My reply is, if there was someone in Montgomery County I'd recommend...that's where I'd go. I go to Frederick because Kingsbrook is the BEST!!
3/18/15 ...For those of you who don't know, KB has just added the services of Dr. Susan Dannis, a veternarian who does acupuncture. We have taken our Duke a 16.5 year old Bichon Frise and he is seeming to do better. Just another reason to consider going to Kingsbrook......I've found Dr. Dannis to be as caring and loving to our Duke as everyone else at Kingsbrook.
I live in Potomac, MD and drive the 26 miles to Kingsbrook to take my dogs for the BEST veterinary care in MD. I have been involved in Bichon Rescue for 20 plus years and since they have been in business, Kingsbrook has been our "go to vet".... They have always treated our rescues with as much love and care as they have our personal pets. If you have a Bichon Frise.....KINGSBROOK IS THE PLACE TO GO...
I can positively say, I believe that Kingsbrook has treated more bichons frises than any other vet in Maryland and knows Bichons better than any vet in Maryland.
If you want to go to a vet's office, that in addition to caring veterinarians and also has a loving, caring and knowledgeable staff...then Kingsbrook is the place for you to go.

Kingsbrook Animal Hospital, you guys are truly amazing. Dr. Davis, Julie and the entire staff was wonderful today! I spent 4 hours there hanging around because I was so nervous about Raven and Diesel going under for their teeth cleaning. I have always known how wonderful this place is, but today behind the scenes I witnessed first hand how much care & compassion they all give to each and every pet they treat. Everyone here is always smiling and pleasant. These days you don't see that as often as you should. Thank you Kingsbrook Animal Hospital!!!!
