I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Goshen Animal Clinic. As a pet owner, it is crucial to find a veterinarian who genuinely cares about the well-being of our furry friends. Unfortunately, this clinic fell far short of my expectations.
Firstly, my dog was misdiagnosed by the vet, which led to unnecessary pressure for an exploratory surgery. Despite expressing my concerns, I felt coerced into agreeing to the procedure. To make matters worse, there was minimal follow-up after the surgery. I had to remind them about removing the staples even though they had scheduled an appointment for it.
Shockingly, when I noticed that a staple was left behind and causing irritation after a week of removal, I called them immediately. Instead of acknowledging their mistake and rectifying it promptly, they wanted to charge me $160 for an emergency visit! It was infuriating that they were unwilling to take responsibility for their error.
After refusing to pay and engaging in a heated argument with them, they finally decided to waive the fee. However, just one week later, my dog's condition worsened as he developed an infection in the area where they had forgotten to remove the staple. When I called again seeking assistance and treatment options for his infection, they wanted me to pay for antibiotics!
The lack of communication within this clinic is astounding; each time I visited or called regarding these issues seemed like starting from scratch as if no records existed at all. It became apparent that their primary concern lies in making money rather than providing quality care.
If you truly love your pets and want what's best for them – even if you only care just a little – please avoid taking them here. Their focus on profit over compassion is evident in their actions. I implore you to seek out a veterinary clinic that prioritizes the well-being of your beloved pets and values open communication with their clients.
Remember, our furry companions deserve the best care possible, and unfortunately, they fall short of meeting those standards.

Would not write a prescription for heart-worm medicine (Heartguard+), citing "you may get fake medicine if you don't buy it from us" and "The mfg. doesn't sell to non-vets. Even Costco/Sams."To make it better, they graciously offered to let us buy the heart-worm medicine from them, at a cost of $350 dollars. After a rebate. This same medicine is less than $100 at Costco. For anyone keeping track, that's a vet that I just paid more than $400 to trying to fleece me for another $250. I'm sorry to say that I likely won't be taking my two dogs, or my cat, back any further. For a person to outright lie to my face and effectively prevent me from getting needed medicine for my animals is ludicrous.

Dr. Carrier is a star. We have been going there for years and will continue. The staff are wonderful and make you feel like your pet is one of their family. No high pressure sales for products like most of the animal clinics here in Montgomery County. This is definitely an animal clinic there for the care of animals.

We have been going to Goshen Animal Clinic for many years. They have continuously provided top notch care for our dog Guinness. Not only does the staff make a connection with you and your animal, they take time to discuss what is going on and provide no frills options to get your animal healthy quickly and safely. We had a pretty challenging year with Guinness in 2017 where he was diagnosed with Cushing 's disease and continued struggling with chronic bladder stones. Dr. Chand was able to assure us that they would get Guinness on a path to being happy and healthy. He was able to get Guinness's Cushing's disease under control with medication in only a few months and recommended an Urethrostomy surgery to provide a permanent solution to Guinness's bladder stone condition. Dr. Chand took the time to explain the complex (at least to me it was) surgery and we decided to go ahead with the surgery. I have to say, it has transformed Guinness's life, and he is back to his good old self and even looks younger, Thanks Dr. Chand! I highly recommend Goshen Animal Clinic for all of your animal needs and cares.

I've been going to Goshen Animal Clinic for 19 years with my dogs and have recommended them to family and friends. The vets are knowledgeable as is the staff. I have 9 rescued dogs now but once had as many as 19. My experiences have been positive and the vets and staff care about my dogs. When I've had several dogs treated, operated on, etc. they have been good about working out payment arrangements for big bills which helps with having many dogs at one time. They are close by and do their best to get me an appointment that is convenient and timely. I can't think of any negatives.

Horrible customer service experience at this clinic. Some of the staff and management are very unprofessional and rude, especially the office manager. They do not clearly explain the prices of their services and payment is required after the procedure, so you're forced to pay an amount you didn't initially agree to. There is a clear lack of communication between staff members. The price they give over the phone, and the price you discuss at check in, is very different than the price you are charged to pay AFTER the appointment. If you decide to go to this clinic, ask them to print your service fees before you see the doctor or you will walk out very frustrated because you will pay twice than what was explained to you before the service. When expressing my concerns to the office manager she was very rude and condescending. She initially threatened to keep my cat if I didn't pay the amount she said - which was twice the amount I was quoted by her staff on 3 previous occasions. Only after I was in tears of frustration did she offer to work with me. I will NEVER go back to this clinic and I wish I could speak to the owners about their poor management and staff training.

Fantastic veterinarian, you can tell that everyone who works there truly cares about the animals and your experience. My cat is extremely temperamental and hates to be handled, the vets, "bed side manor", was amazing, with my cat he was able to do a full checkup and administer shots without her even noticing. I have owned animals my whole life, (cats, birds, dogs, lizards, fish), and this is the best experience I have ever had at a veterinarian.

I have been going to this clinic for over 20 years. During this time my dogs and cat received excellent care. They don't immediately jump to conclusions and nickel and dime you. Rather they take a cautious approach to helping the pet before more invasive measures are taken. I truly sense the doctor and staff have a genuine compassion for all animals. Their office hours work for me and they are convenient. If there was one thing I could change, it would be finding whoever the landlord is and have them widen the parking spaces. Terribly tight parking but I've always found a place right there to park.It appears most of their clientele have been coming for years. They always treat me and other patients that I have noticed with kindness. Sorta like family!

Fantastic clinic! My crew and I have moved around quite a bit and I was skeptical about finding a good vet in the area. Upon the recommendation of a co-worker, I took my cats to Goshen Animal Clinic. Wow! Everyone was great! Dr. Ostroff clearly loves animals and what he does. He was gentle with my cats and took my more... difficult one in stride, without getting aggressive with her. He did a thorough exam and made recommendations, but nothing superfluous, which I really appreciate. The rest of the staff are wonderful as well - good-natured and very helpful. I've been through animal clinics all over the country, and this one ranks among the best.

Dr Ostroff & staff are very caring and good with my two dogs. Easy to get the appointments that I want, and they're pretty good at getting you in and out with out making you feel rushed. I've been going to them for 3 1/2 years now. Dr. Ostroff gives a lot of good useful information. Very confident group of people.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with Goshen Animal Clinic. As a pet owner, it is crucial to find a veterinarian who genuinely cares about the well-being of our furry friends. Unfortunately, this clinic fell far short of my expectations.
Firstly, my dog was misdiagnosed by the vet, which led to unnecessary pressure for an exploratory surgery. Despite expressing my concerns, I felt coerced into agreeing to the procedure. To make matters worse, there was minimal follow-up after the surgery. I had to remind them about removing the staples even though they had scheduled an appointment for it.
Shockingly, when I noticed that a staple was left behind and causing irritation after a week of removal, I called them immediately. Instead of acknowledging their mistake and rectifying it promptly, they wanted to charge me $160 for an emergency visit! It was infuriating that they were unwilling to take responsibility for their error.
After refusing to pay and engaging in a heated argument with them, they finally decided to waive the fee. However, just one week later, my dog's condition worsened as he developed an infection in the area where they had forgotten to remove the staple. When I called again seeking assistance and treatment options for his infection, they wanted me to pay for antibiotics!
The lack of communication within this clinic is astounding; each time I visited or called regarding these issues seemed like starting from scratch as if no records existed at all. It became apparent that their primary concern lies in making money rather than providing quality care.
If you truly love your pets and want what's best for them – even if you only care just a little – please avoid taking them here. Their focus on profit over compassion is evident in their actions. I implore you to seek out a veterinary clinic that prioritizes the well-being of your beloved pets and values open communication with their clients.
Remember, our furry companions deserve the best care possible, and unfortunately, they fall short of meeting those standards.

They provided antibiotics without sending the specimen to the lab first. My dog had a reaction to it. I wish they do the exam or the lab work first then provide with antibiotics later on.. smh

Would not write a prescription for heart-worm medicine (Heartguard+), citing "you may get fake medicine if you don't buy it from us" and "The mfg. doesn't sell to non-vets. Even Costco/Sams."To make it better, they graciously offered to let us buy the heart-worm medicine from them, at a cost of $350 dollars. After a rebate. This same medicine is less than $100 at Costco. For anyone keeping track, that's a vet that I just paid more than $400 to trying to fleece me for another $250. I'm sorry to say that I likely won't be taking my two dogs, or my cat, back any further. For a person to outright lie to my face and effectively prevent me from getting needed medicine for my animals is ludicrous.

Dr. Carrier is a star. We have been going there for years and will continue. The staff are wonderful and make you feel like your pet is one of their family. No high pressure sales for products like most of the animal clinics here in Montgomery County. This is definitely an animal clinic there for the care of animals.

We have been going to Goshen Animal Clinic for many years. They have continuously provided top notch care for our dog Guinness. Not only does the staff make a connection with you and your animal, they take time to discuss what is going on and provide no frills options to get your animal healthy quickly and safely. We had a pretty challenging year with Guinness in 2017 where he was diagnosed with Cushing 's disease and continued struggling with chronic bladder stones. Dr. Chand was able to assure us that they would get Guinness on a path to being happy and healthy. He was able to get Guinness's Cushing's disease under control with medication in only a few months and recommended an Urethrostomy surgery to provide a permanent solution to Guinness's bladder stone condition. Dr. Chand took the time to explain the complex (at least to me it was) surgery and we decided to go ahead with the surgery. I have to say, it has transformed Guinness's life, and he is back to his good old self and even looks younger, Thanks Dr. Chand! I highly recommend Goshen Animal Clinic for all of your animal needs and cares.

They've cared for 6 cats and 3 dogs for me and I couldn't have been happier.However, I have taken my last dog, a 14 year old toy poodle, in 3 times since the practice changed hands again. I am sorry to say that he did not receive the care and correct diagnosis l had come to expect.I will truly miss Dr. Ostroff.

I've been going to Goshen Animal Clinic for 19 years with my dogs and have recommended them to family and friends. The vets are knowledgeable as is the staff. I have 9 rescued dogs now but once had as many as 19. My experiences have been positive and the vets and staff care about my dogs. When I've had several dogs treated, operated on, etc. they have been good about working out payment arrangements for big bills which helps with having many dogs at one time. They are close by and do their best to get me an appointment that is convenient and timely. I can't think of any negatives.

Horrible customer service experience at this clinic. Some of the staff and management are very unprofessional and rude, especially the office manager. They do not clearly explain the prices of their services and payment is required after the procedure, so you're forced to pay an amount you didn't initially agree to. There is a clear lack of communication between staff members. The price they give over the phone, and the price you discuss at check in, is very different than the price you are charged to pay AFTER the appointment. If you decide to go to this clinic, ask them to print your service fees before you see the doctor or you will walk out very frustrated because you will pay twice than what was explained to you before the service. When expressing my concerns to the office manager she was very rude and condescending. She initially threatened to keep my cat if I didn't pay the amount she said - which was twice the amount I was quoted by her staff on 3 previous occasions. Only after I was in tears of frustration did she offer to work with me. I will NEVER go back to this clinic and I wish I could speak to the owners about their poor management and staff training.

Fantastic veterinarian, you can tell that everyone who works there truly cares about the animals and your experience. My cat is extremely temperamental and hates to be handled, the vets, "bed side manor", was amazing, with my cat he was able to do a full checkup and administer shots without her even noticing. I have owned animals my whole life, (cats, birds, dogs, lizards, fish), and this is the best experience I have ever had at a veterinarian.

I have been going to this clinic for over 20 years. During this time my dogs and cat received excellent care. They don't immediately jump to conclusions and nickel and dime you. Rather they take a cautious approach to helping the pet before more invasive measures are taken. I truly sense the doctor and staff have a genuine compassion for all animals. Their office hours work for me and they are convenient. If there was one thing I could change, it would be finding whoever the landlord is and have them widen the parking spaces. Terribly tight parking but I've always found a place right there to park.It appears most of their clientele have been coming for years. They always treat me and other patients that I have noticed with kindness. Sorta like family!

Fantastic clinic! My crew and I have moved around quite a bit and I was skeptical about finding a good vet in the area. Upon the recommendation of a co-worker, I took my cats to Goshen Animal Clinic. Wow! Everyone was great! Dr. Ostroff clearly loves animals and what he does. He was gentle with my cats and took my more... difficult one in stride, without getting aggressive with her. He did a thorough exam and made recommendations, but nothing superfluous, which I really appreciate. The rest of the staff are wonderful as well - good-natured and very helpful. I've been through animal clinics all over the country, and this one ranks among the best.

Dr Ostroff & staff are very caring and good with my two dogs. Easy to get the appointments that I want, and they're pretty good at getting you in and out with out making you feel rushed. I've been going to them for 3 1/2 years now. Dr. Ostroff gives a lot of good useful information. Very confident group of people.
