Dr. Geibel and his staff are so incredibly amazing. If I could give them 100 stars, I would. My bunny developed GI stasis on the Sunday before MLK Day and after calling a ton of vets, I was starting to get worried. All the vets I called were closed or weren't taking exotics at the time. Dr. Geibel, however, made time for Salt --- even when he had other pets to see.
In addition to it being a holiday weekend, we were also in the midst of a snowstorm. Instead of leaving Salt alone in his time of need, Dr. Geibel took Salt to his own home and stayed up with him, giving him meds and fluids. What's more: Dr. Geibel gave me a HUGE discount on Salt's care.
Plus, I'm a college student and I was leaving to go on a semester abroad while Salt was in the middle of his treatment. Dr. Geibel was super supportive and was there to answer all my parents' questions when I left Salt in their hands. We really, really appreciate everything Dr. Geibel and QO Vet did for my fluffy friend.
I cannot thank or recommend them enough.

I have been going to qovet for about five years for my pet turtle's care. He was being taken care of by them when his previous owner had him.Boxie 's shenanigans have no end.he has the total run of the house.he sleeps in the bedroom,bathroom, behind the bookcase etc. He is essentially a food crazed addict. And when he gets sick Dr. Felrice has to administer a shot to him. Then the whole eating thing starts again- mealworms,lettuce,berries,beef liver etc. He is fairly intelligent at communicating his needs with me.Dr. Mr. M.T. Felrice is his physician and knowing I don't have a lot of money to care for Boxie he diligently tries treatments that work for Boxie and that are easy on my pocket. Staff is so professional and adept with their training on effectively talking to sick creatures' owners. They are so kind and astute that I have witnessed them cleaning after sick pets. Boxie hasn't gotten sick in 9 months so he hasn't seen his favorite friend Dr. Felrice. The way Dr. Felrice can maneuver Boxie and make him co-operate with him is amazing. Dr. Felrice knows so much about exotic pets and he showers me with a lot of information that is very useful. Technicians as well as clerical staff is in touch with what's going on with your sick pet. They are understanding of every aspect of treating animals while their humans have questions and concerns.By folly about a few years ago I had thought about leaving qovet. We have been coming here for about 8 years with our two dogs. The entire staff are amazing and love what they do. My dogs are not the easiest to work with all the time but the staff always remains professional and find ways to work with them. I had to leave my pups for a day there a couple of times and it was nice how I would get frequent updates. All the veterinarians provide excellent work and truly care for your pets! Dr. Felrice is our go to guy and he is very knowledgable, family-centered, and works with you to provide the best care. He is an exceptional veterinarian and it is always a pleasure working with him. I also have to praise the hard work the front staff does to hold down the fort because it can get busy and the technicians that are very nice and skillful!

I cannot praise this place enough. Today was our first visit. We had somewhat of an emergent situation with our Cocker Spaniel. I called explained we were newer to the area and they had been recommended by our groomer and explained our situation. The staff was awesome! You can tell they love animals and they do not mind helping people. Now my favorite part...DR GEIBEL!! He is amazing. You could not ask for a more friendly, thorough doctor. He took time to listen to me about my dog. He did not treat me like I was crazy when I explained my thoughts on the matter. After all he is my dog and I understand his behaviors better than anyone else. The other vet we saw in this area wanted to cut his ears open which I later found out would have made him deaf. YIKES!!! That is the absolute last resort for us. After the exam he went through everything that he thought needed to be done and told me how much each service cost. What?? A cost conscious vet? Yes, thank you!! I do want to know what you are doing and why you are doing it. This Vet understands that pets are family. Thank you thank you!!

I am the general manager in a local pet care business, and have had the pleasure to work professionally, on numerous occasions, with the staff at Quince Orchard Veterinary Hospital. They have been there for us quite often - whether it's seeing a pet on a holiday weekend (who isn't even their patient), or when we've referred clients to them at the very last minute. It can be a phone call with questions regarding a mutual pet, or when we've needed updated vaccinations records, they've always been exceptionally polite and professional. Our interactions with them have been nothing short of perfect.
Recently, my own cat became very ill with urinary tract disease. They allowed me to come in on very short notice to take a look at my cat, "Scout". I met with Dr. Giebel. From the onset, he was very professional and compassionate - and right off the bat, I knew Scout was in good hands. Dr. Giebel advised me every step of the way as to what Scout's treatment plan would be. When things got a little concerning, Dr. Giebel stayed with Scout until 10:30pm to make sure he eliminted. He then called me that same night, to let me know that there had been improvement, and that Scout could be released the next day. When I went to pick up Scout, Dr. Giebel went over all of his findings, and gave me specific instructions as to dispensing the medications, and the type of food Scout needed to eat from now on. This ordeal began about 2 weeks ago. Since Scout's release, I've received 3 or more phone calls from Dr. Giebel personally, inquiring as to how Scout was doing. I adore my Scout, and to have him treated with such concern and kindness, as if he were their own, meant the world to me! I thank you, Dr. Giebel and your wonderful staff, from the bottom of my heart. Here at the pet care business, we were referring you. Now I am able to speak from my own, amazing, personal experience. THANK YOU!!

I had to change veterinarian and I went to Quince Orchard. I already knew Dr. Felrice from another location and he was the reason I went there.He has not seen my whole crew yet, but two of my dogs. He is very thorough, doesn't rush, explain everything in plain English and cares. He gave me suggestions for my "challenging" one!The staff is also professional and very friendly. One of my other dogs needed a blood test. At the previous place, every blood test was a blood bath with two vet techs holding my girl, and the vet taking the blood. Each time she ended up with hematomas. I was expecting the same battle here, but quite to my surprise, it was done in no time, and Sophie came back to me happy, relaxed and wagging her tail!I also noticed an unlit candle at the front desk with a note saying that when the candle is lit, it means that someone is letting go of a fur baby and to be respectful during that time. Maybe, it's because I had to put to sleep four dogs last year, but this sign just touched my heart.

Luckily I searched the internet and found out that small dogs the long you keep them without exercise, then can recuperate. My dog today is fine like nothing ever happened to her. Dr. Felrice was a darling to my little feathered one during his first doctor's visit (*sniffle* They grow up so fast). We came in for a wing trim, but since I was new to the practice, an exam was required as well. The doctor provided some great dietary recommendations, answered all of my 'bizarre bird behavior' questions, and gave me some great tips for keeping him both healthy and happy for many years to come. He also trimmed my bird's wings in a way that did not compromise aesthetics (when I'd first brought him home, whomever trimmed his wings cut off a drastic amount of feathers on only one side. The doctor said that this can compromise a bird's balance). The doctor trimmed off just enough feather to allow the bird low flight and a gliding landing, so that he will not damage his keel bone trying to crash land (as he was doing after his last wing clipping).One small thing I did not like. While the office was otherwise neat, clean, and attractive, I smelled dog pee as soon as I walked in. I understand that this is an animal hospital, but it needn't smell like one. (And yes, I have been to offices that were devoid of the ever-present animal smell characterized by many a veterinary practice). Things like that cause me to question the cleanliness of the office. However, nothing else seemed unsanitary or unclean. Still, a little air-freshener and some bleach/Lysol goes a long way.I knocked off a star for the arduous process of making an appointment. I had to call several times to make one. I initially requested a weekend appointment, but was told that the doctor "doesn't like" doing appointments with new patients on Saturdays. Well, you know what? I don't really like having to sacrifice productivity at my office for an exam that was really not necessary, when all I wanted was a wing trim. In total, the whole exam, including trim, took about 30 minutes... I'm sure he could have found some time on a Saturday. But now that the exam is out of the way, hopefully I'll be able to get weekend appointments for his future wing trims.

THEY SEE ALL KINDS OF PETS and one of the only ones around who do. (Rats and other small mamals, Birds, Snakes) They're set up for surgery/ ultra sounds if you need something intensive but are a norm every day care group that likes to focus on preventive care. Dr.s are GREAT, caring and call personally to follow up on pets, and even our son when we had to euthanize. They were very sensitive and cast paw prints to keep which for him was a big deal. I've never had to wait long, office staff organized and plesant. Seems a bit pricy to me compared to other places I've lived but maybe that's standard here, either the way it's been worth the extra drive and money

We began taking our two dogs to this practice several years ago. Their services are expensive, which I would not mind if the care was outstanding. It is not. Our dog developed a tumor caused by his getting his vaccinations in the same spot. We paid for the surgery to remove the tumor and the biopsy of the tumor which confirmed that the tumor was caused by the vaccinations in the same spot. We never got an apology or a refund of the expensive surgical bill. I never felt that our pets were important to the veterinarians. They were just dollar signs. You can do better. I have changed vets and I could not be happier.

We brought our two dogs here for several years. One of our dogs developed a tumor after he received all of his vaccinations on the same visit and in the same site. Our dog had to undergo surgery under general anesthesia to have the tumor to removed. We also paid for a biopsy, which confirmed that the tumor developed from the way that the vaccinations were given. We never received an apology or even a refund for the cost of the surgery. We continued to take the dogs to Quince Orchard because the practice was the close to our house and because Dr. Giebel is our neighbor. We switched vets because I just could not stand the thought of paying so much for the lack of care. We now pay a lot less for better care, but also the vets and the staff at the new practice actually know the names of our dogs without having to be told. I don't leave the new practice feeling like the practice only liked my money, and not the dogs. I kick myself that I ever went to Quince Orchard, that I took the dogs there for so long, and that I tolerated poor care for the animals that I love. Don't make my mistake.

Do not trust any of them with any credit card information as they will charge you how ever much they feel like at the time. Extremely unreasonable costs. I also experienced them hitting me with an $1100 bill 6 months after the visit and I had been to the vet multiple times since and no mention of any outstanding money owed. Find another good vet in the area.

This place gets five stars! The staff here is amazing. Came here once because they specialized in small pets (for my son's rats) and was impressed. My wife then came back because her Dane was sick and said she was even more impressed. They are good with pets large and small. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They even offered my wife a tour of the facilities while she was there. For her to trust her Dane to be seen here speaks volumes since she doesn't trust anybody with that dog.

We have two beautiful dogs... and because they're part of our family, we only want the absolute best care for them. That's precisely why our vet is Dr. Matt Felrice at QOVH! This guy is the REAL DEAL.When one of our sweet girls lacerated her paw on a shard of broken pottery, he stitched her back up and took the best care of her. We had to go back every other day for bandage changes, and every time, Dr. Felrice and the entire staff would greet our pup as if she was their own. 25 stitches, lots of antibiotics and two cones of shame later, she's 100% healed - thanks to his incredible care. I literally cannot believe that she doesn't have any issues with that paw... it was a bad enough laceration that I was worried she might lose the whole foot.Dr. Felrice's bedside manner is unparalleled. He explains everything thoroughly, so don't be afraid to ask questions; he'll never make you feel dumb for asking. Another thing I really appreciate is that he always walks through an invoice, which is very helpful after an emergency surgery when the invoice is two pages long! The rest of the staff is equally as amazing. They're always smiling and helpful. The office is spotless. And for the area, the prices are extremely fair.

My cat hadn't been to a vet in two years, his cat in about five years (they're both indoor kitties).I was really impressed with the entire staff - the ladies at the front desk were super friendly, the vet we saw (Dr. Megan) really took her time to look at our cats, thoroughly discuss what vaccinations they should get and why, and all the other staff I interacted with was friendly and professional (they even gave me a tour of the back end of the office - totally impressed!).Then last week I found a stray kitten hiding under a row of carts at a grocery store. Apparently the SPCA in Frederick (I work in Frederick) does not have animal facilities and does not accept strays. I then called Quince Orchard Vet Hospital, and they told me one of their vet techs (Rita) works closely with a kitten rescue organization, and I could drop the kitten off any time before they closed and they'd take care of her. I dropped her off right at closing, and the kitten rescue vet tech took me back in the room with her to look over the kitten (she seemed healthy!). I knew I was leaving her in good hands :)So yeah, this place is great and seems to be run by really good people.

Fantastic, friendly and incomparable to any other vet in the area. I was referred to the Quince Orchard vet hospital by a friend and I worked with Dr.Megan. She helped me through one of the toughest events of my life and I have nothing but fantastic things to say about her, the owner of the hospital and their entire team. The front desk staff was compassionate and understanding as well.. and I even received a phone call that evening to make sure I was okay. I am forever grateful and thankful that I found this hospital and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a vet who treats you like a real person and not just a paycheck. Definitely worth taking your pets here!

We've been taking our cat here for years after having a not-so-great experience with another area vet. Dr. Amsbaugh is very compassionate and knowledgeable and I wouldn't take my little guy anywhere else.Our cat is very skiddish and going to the vet is obviously very stressful on him. But Dr. Amsbaugh understands that and is very gentle and calm while handling him.At our last visit, he recommended a teeth cleaning, which involved us dropping him off in the morning and being put under so they could have a closer look. I received a call around lunch with our cat's status and Dr. Amsbaugh's recommendations. We picked our cat up that evening once he woke up and was more alert. Dr. Amsbaugh let us know that he might be a bit sluggish and may not be up to eat dinner that evening, and to call him with any questions or concerns.The part that stuck out to me was that later in the evening, about 8-9pm, we received a call from his personal phone asking us if our cat was doing alright. For him to take time out of his day after he left the office and to call us was amazing.

The staff at QOVH is so unbelievably nice. They always schedule us fast, usually offer same day. The wait is NEVER too long and the staff is on it! Love love love.If they would take human patients or if I could become my dog, I would get sick just to come visit. (Sometimes, I think my cat does that)I highly recommend Dr. Felrice, he is fantastic. We have had all of our animals here and Dr. Felrice is always able to diagnose accurately and find a reasonable treatment. He listens and asks questions and spends time with you. I am extremely thankful to the office and doctors. One of my pets, my cat Munchkin started getting UTIs as a kitten, although this is TMI, he was in a lot of pain and I didn't have a lot of money, but the office worked with me to treat him and years later, he is healthy and happy. Thanks!

The best veterinary facility I have ever been to (and I used to work at a local boarding facility so I've had experience with dozens of veterinary facilities in the area). Not only is the facility beautiful, and in an easy to find location, but the entire staff is always friendly, helpful, and passionate about what they do. I brought my Shih-Tzu/Maltese mix here for an anal gland issue. I saw Dr. Amspaugh. He was extremely helpful, explained everything, and gave recommendations on how to prevent future problems. He made my dog feel comfortable. He was able to answer all my questions, and even called me a few days later to ask me personally how my dog was doing. Great service! (I also took the same dog to a different facility during the school year for the same issue - their service was good, but nowhere as good as QOVH's was.)So then I decided to switch my newly adopted dog over to Quince Orchard, and the front desk staff was very helpful and made the change over very easy, even going as far as to call the previous vet and get all of his medical records for me. I will definitely keep bringing all of my pets to this facility! They are amazing!

Dr. Geibel and his staff are so incredibly amazing. If I could give them 100 stars, I would. My bunny developed GI stasis on the Sunday before MLK Day and after calling a ton of vets, I was starting to get worried. All the vets I called were closed or weren't taking exotics at the time. Dr. Geibel, however, made time for Salt --- even when he had other pets to see.
In addition to it being a holiday weekend, we were also in the midst of a snowstorm. Instead of leaving Salt alone in his time of need, Dr. Geibel took Salt to his own home and stayed up with him, giving him meds and fluids. What's more: Dr. Geibel gave me a HUGE discount on Salt's care.
Plus, I'm a college student and I was leaving to go on a semester abroad while Salt was in the middle of his treatment. Dr. Geibel was super supportive and was there to answer all my parents' questions when I left Salt in their hands. We really, really appreciate everything Dr. Geibel and QO Vet did for my fluffy friend.
I cannot thank or recommend them enough.

I have been going to qovet for about five years for my pet turtle's care. He was being taken care of by them when his previous owner had him.Boxie 's shenanigans have no end.he has the total run of the house.he sleeps in the bedroom,bathroom, behind the bookcase etc. He is essentially a food crazed addict. And when he gets sick Dr. Felrice has to administer a shot to him. Then the whole eating thing starts again- mealworms,lettuce,berries,beef liver etc. He is fairly intelligent at communicating his needs with me.Dr. Mr. M.T. Felrice is his physician and knowing I don't have a lot of money to care for Boxie he diligently tries treatments that work for Boxie and that are easy on my pocket. Staff is so professional and adept with their training on effectively talking to sick creatures' owners. They are so kind and astute that I have witnessed them cleaning after sick pets. Boxie hasn't gotten sick in 9 months so he hasn't seen his favorite friend Dr. Felrice. The way Dr. Felrice can maneuver Boxie and make him co-operate with him is amazing. Dr. Felrice knows so much about exotic pets and he showers me with a lot of information that is very useful. Technicians as well as clerical staff is in touch with what's going on with your sick pet. They are understanding of every aspect of treating animals while their humans have questions and concerns.By folly about a few years ago I had thought about leaving qovet. We have been coming here for about 8 years with our two dogs. The entire staff are amazing and love what they do. My dogs are not the easiest to work with all the time but the staff always remains professional and find ways to work with them. I had to leave my pups for a day there a couple of times and it was nice how I would get frequent updates. All the veterinarians provide excellent work and truly care for your pets! Dr. Felrice is our go to guy and he is very knowledgable, family-centered, and works with you to provide the best care. He is an exceptional veterinarian and it is always a pleasure working with him. I also have to praise the hard work the front staff does to hold down the fort because it can get busy and the technicians that are very nice and skillful!

I cannot praise this place enough. Today was our first visit. We had somewhat of an emergent situation with our Cocker Spaniel. I called explained we were newer to the area and they had been recommended by our groomer and explained our situation. The staff was awesome! You can tell they love animals and they do not mind helping people. Now my favorite part...DR GEIBEL!! He is amazing. You could not ask for a more friendly, thorough doctor. He took time to listen to me about my dog. He did not treat me like I was crazy when I explained my thoughts on the matter. After all he is my dog and I understand his behaviors better than anyone else. The other vet we saw in this area wanted to cut his ears open which I later found out would have made him deaf. YIKES!!! That is the absolute last resort for us. After the exam he went through everything that he thought needed to be done and told me how much each service cost. What?? A cost conscious vet? Yes, thank you!! I do want to know what you are doing and why you are doing it. This Vet understands that pets are family. Thank you thank you!!

I am the general manager in a local pet care business, and have had the pleasure to work professionally, on numerous occasions, with the staff at Quince Orchard Veterinary Hospital. They have been there for us quite often - whether it's seeing a pet on a holiday weekend (who isn't even their patient), or when we've referred clients to them at the very last minute. It can be a phone call with questions regarding a mutual pet, or when we've needed updated vaccinations records, they've always been exceptionally polite and professional. Our interactions with them have been nothing short of perfect.
Recently, my own cat became very ill with urinary tract disease. They allowed me to come in on very short notice to take a look at my cat, "Scout". I met with Dr. Giebel. From the onset, he was very professional and compassionate - and right off the bat, I knew Scout was in good hands. Dr. Giebel advised me every step of the way as to what Scout's treatment plan would be. When things got a little concerning, Dr. Giebel stayed with Scout until 10:30pm to make sure he eliminted. He then called me that same night, to let me know that there had been improvement, and that Scout could be released the next day. When I went to pick up Scout, Dr. Giebel went over all of his findings, and gave me specific instructions as to dispensing the medications, and the type of food Scout needed to eat from now on. This ordeal began about 2 weeks ago. Since Scout's release, I've received 3 or more phone calls from Dr. Giebel personally, inquiring as to how Scout was doing. I adore my Scout, and to have him treated with such concern and kindness, as if he were their own, meant the world to me! I thank you, Dr. Giebel and your wonderful staff, from the bottom of my heart. Here at the pet care business, we were referring you. Now I am able to speak from my own, amazing, personal experience. THANK YOU!!

I had to change veterinarian and I went to Quince Orchard. I already knew Dr. Felrice from another location and he was the reason I went there.He has not seen my whole crew yet, but two of my dogs. He is very thorough, doesn't rush, explain everything in plain English and cares. He gave me suggestions for my "challenging" one!The staff is also professional and very friendly. One of my other dogs needed a blood test. At the previous place, every blood test was a blood bath with two vet techs holding my girl, and the vet taking the blood. Each time she ended up with hematomas. I was expecting the same battle here, but quite to my surprise, it was done in no time, and Sophie came back to me happy, relaxed and wagging her tail!I also noticed an unlit candle at the front desk with a note saying that when the candle is lit, it means that someone is letting go of a fur baby and to be respectful during that time. Maybe, it's because I had to put to sleep four dogs last year, but this sign just touched my heart.

Luckily I searched the internet and found out that small dogs the long you keep them without exercise, then can recuperate. My dog today is fine like nothing ever happened to her. They only want to rip you off.

Dr. Felrice was a darling to my little feathered one during his first doctor's visit (*sniffle* They grow up so fast). We came in for a wing trim, but since I was new to the practice, an exam was required as well. The doctor provided some great dietary recommendations, answered all of my 'bizarre bird behavior' questions, and gave me some great tips for keeping him both healthy and happy for many years to come. He also trimmed my bird's wings in a way that did not compromise aesthetics (when I'd first brought him home, whomever trimmed his wings cut off a drastic amount of feathers on only one side. The doctor said that this can compromise a bird's balance). The doctor trimmed off just enough feather to allow the bird low flight and a gliding landing, so that he will not damage his keel bone trying to crash land (as he was doing after his last wing clipping).One small thing I did not like. While the office was otherwise neat, clean, and attractive, I smelled dog pee as soon as I walked in. I understand that this is an animal hospital, but it needn't smell like one. (And yes, I have been to offices that were devoid of the ever-present animal smell characterized by many a veterinary practice). Things like that cause me to question the cleanliness of the office. However, nothing else seemed unsanitary or unclean. Still, a little air-freshener and some bleach/Lysol goes a long way.I knocked off a star for the arduous process of making an appointment. I had to call several times to make one. I initially requested a weekend appointment, but was told that the doctor "doesn't like" doing appointments with new patients on Saturdays. Well, you know what? I don't really like having to sacrifice productivity at my office for an exam that was really not necessary, when all I wanted was a wing trim. In total, the whole exam, including trim, took about 30 minutes... I'm sure he could have found some time on a Saturday. But now that the exam is out of the way, hopefully I'll be able to get weekend appointments for his future wing trims.

THEY SEE ALL KINDS OF PETS and one of the only ones around who do. (Rats and other small mamals, Birds, Snakes) They're set up for surgery/ ultra sounds if you need something intensive but are a norm every day care group that likes to focus on preventive care. Dr.s are GREAT, caring and call personally to follow up on pets, and even our son when we had to euthanize. They were very sensitive and cast paw prints to keep which for him was a big deal. I've never had to wait long, office staff organized and plesant. Seems a bit pricy to me compared to other places I've lived but maybe that's standard here, either the way it's been worth the extra drive and money

We began taking our two dogs to this practice several years ago. Their services are expensive, which I would not mind if the care was outstanding. It is not. Our dog developed a tumor caused by his getting his vaccinations in the same spot. We paid for the surgery to remove the tumor and the biopsy of the tumor which confirmed that the tumor was caused by the vaccinations in the same spot. We never got an apology or a refund of the expensive surgical bill. I never felt that our pets were important to the veterinarians. They were just dollar signs. You can do better. I have changed vets and I could not be happier.

We brought our two dogs here for several years. One of our dogs developed a tumor after he received all of his vaccinations on the same visit and in the same site. Our dog had to undergo surgery under general anesthesia to have the tumor to removed. We also paid for a biopsy, which confirmed that the tumor developed from the way that the vaccinations were given. We never received an apology or even a refund for the cost of the surgery. We continued to take the dogs to Quince Orchard because the practice was the close to our house and because Dr. Giebel is our neighbor. We switched vets because I just could not stand the thought of paying so much for the lack of care. We now pay a lot less for better care, but also the vets and the staff at the new practice actually know the names of our dogs without having to be told. I don't leave the new practice feeling like the practice only liked my money, and not the dogs. I kick myself that I ever went to Quince Orchard, that I took the dogs there for so long, and that I tolerated poor care for the animals that I love. Don't make my mistake.

Do not trust any of them with any credit card information as they will charge you how ever much they feel like at the time. Extremely unreasonable costs. I also experienced them hitting me with an $1100 bill 6 months after the visit and I had been to the vet multiple times since and no mention of any outstanding money owed. Find another good vet in the area.

This place gets five stars! The staff here is amazing. Came here once because they specialized in small pets (for my son's rats) and was impressed. My wife then came back because her Dane was sick and said she was even more impressed. They are good with pets large and small. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They even offered my wife a tour of the facilities while she was there. For her to trust her Dane to be seen here speaks volumes since she doesn't trust anybody with that dog.

We have two beautiful dogs... and because they're part of our family, we only want the absolute best care for them. That's precisely why our vet is Dr. Matt Felrice at QOVH! This guy is the REAL DEAL.When one of our sweet girls lacerated her paw on a shard of broken pottery, he stitched her back up and took the best care of her. We had to go back every other day for bandage changes, and every time, Dr. Felrice and the entire staff would greet our pup as if she was their own. 25 stitches, lots of antibiotics and two cones of shame later, she's 100% healed - thanks to his incredible care. I literally cannot believe that she doesn't have any issues with that paw... it was a bad enough laceration that I was worried she might lose the whole foot.Dr. Felrice's bedside manner is unparalleled. He explains everything thoroughly, so don't be afraid to ask questions; he'll never make you feel dumb for asking. Another thing I really appreciate is that he always walks through an invoice, which is very helpful after an emergency surgery when the invoice is two pages long! The rest of the staff is equally as amazing. They're always smiling and helpful. The office is spotless. And for the area, the prices are extremely fair.

I came here with my cat and roommate's cat about a month ago for the first time. My cat hadn't been to a vet in two years, his cat in about five years (they're both indoor kitties).I was really impressed with the entire staff - the ladies at the front desk were super friendly, the vet we saw (Dr. Megan) really took her time to look at our cats, thoroughly discuss what vaccinations they should get and why, and all the other staff I interacted with was friendly and professional (they even gave me a tour of the back end of the office - totally impressed!).Then last week I found a stray kitten hiding under a row of carts at a grocery store. Apparently the SPCA in Frederick (I work in Frederick) does not have animal facilities and does not accept strays. I then called Quince Orchard Vet Hospital, and they told me one of their vet techs (Rita) works closely with a kitten rescue organization, and I could drop the kitten off any time before they closed and they'd take care of her. I dropped her off right at closing, and the kitten rescue vet tech took me back in the room with her to look over the kitten (she seemed healthy!). I knew I was leaving her in good hands :)So yeah, this place is great and seems to be run by really good people.

Fantastic, friendly and incomparable to any other vet in the area. I was referred to the Quince Orchard vet hospital by a friend and I worked with Dr.Megan. She helped me through one of the toughest events of my life and I have nothing but fantastic things to say about her, the owner of the hospital and their entire team. The front desk staff was compassionate and understanding as well.. and I even received a phone call that evening to make sure I was okay. I am forever grateful and thankful that I found this hospital and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a vet who treats you like a real person and not just a paycheck. Definitely worth taking your pets here!

We've been taking our cat here for years after having a not-so-great experience with another area vet. Dr. Amsbaugh is very compassionate and knowledgeable and I wouldn't take my little guy anywhere else.Our cat is very skiddish and going to the vet is obviously very stressful on him. But Dr. Amsbaugh understands that and is very gentle and calm while handling him.At our last visit, he recommended a teeth cleaning, which involved us dropping him off in the morning and being put under so they could have a closer look. I received a call around lunch with our cat's status and Dr. Amsbaugh's recommendations. We picked our cat up that evening once he woke up and was more alert. Dr. Amsbaugh let us know that he might be a bit sluggish and may not be up to eat dinner that evening, and to call him with any questions or concerns.The part that stuck out to me was that later in the evening, about 8-9pm, we received a call from his personal phone asking us if our cat was doing alright. For him to take time out of his day after he left the office and to call us was amazing.

I love this place and so do my dogs, (well, not so much). Very friendly environment. The entire hospital is light and airy with wide open spaces and rooms that feel "homey". It doesn't have an "institutional" feeling like your pet just walked out of a shelter.The staff is very friendly and the Vets are AWESOME!! My dogs and birds see Dr. Matthew Felrice. He is great with my dogs but he's the main reason I came here in the first place... he's an "Avian Specialist" and he's always taken good care of my flock of cockatiels.I highly recommend this Veterinary Hospital.

The staff at QOVH is so unbelievably nice. They always schedule us fast, usually offer same day. The wait is NEVER too long and the staff is on it! Love love love.If they would take human patients or if I could become my dog, I would get sick just to come visit. (Sometimes, I think my cat does that)I highly recommend Dr. Felrice, he is fantastic. We have had all of our animals here and Dr. Felrice is always able to diagnose accurately and find a reasonable treatment. He listens and asks questions and spends time with you. I am extremely thankful to the office and doctors. One of my pets, my cat Munchkin started getting UTIs as a kitten, although this is TMI, he was in a lot of pain and I didn't have a lot of money, but the office worked with me to treat him and years later, he is healthy and happy. Thanks!

The best veterinary facility I have ever been to (and I used to work at a local boarding facility so I've had experience with dozens of veterinary facilities in the area). Not only is the facility beautiful, and in an easy to find location, but the entire staff is always friendly, helpful, and passionate about what they do. I brought my Shih-Tzu/Maltese mix here for an anal gland issue. I saw Dr. Amspaugh. He was extremely helpful, explained everything, and gave recommendations on how to prevent future problems. He made my dog feel comfortable. He was able to answer all my questions, and even called me a few days later to ask me personally how my dog was doing. Great service! (I also took the same dog to a different facility during the school year for the same issue - their service was good, but nowhere as good as QOVH's was.)So then I decided to switch my newly adopted dog over to Quince Orchard, and the front desk staff was very helpful and made the change over very easy, even going as far as to call the previous vet and get all of his medical records for me. I will definitely keep bringing all of my pets to this facility! They are amazing!
