I will not be coming back. I had a great experience with Dr Sherping but cannot stand Dr Shah. He would do everything possible to overcharge you for a visit. He will suggest test that are unnecessary and refuse to listen to the owner. I went to a different vet and the issue has been resolved. Wish I did this earlier and save the 3k. Front desk staff are very nice and have nothing but praise for these gals.

We have been bringing our 2 dogs here for the last 10 months or so. We have had several instances where we were charged wildly over the quote, and I have NEVER, not once, been seen on time. Last week, my husband waited AN HOUR after a scheduled appointment before he was seen, and that's the norm. I have wasted hours of my life waiting past a scheduled appointment there that I will never get back. Dr. Scherping is very kind and good with our dogs, but the male veterinarian there is awful. It seems that we have a negative experience every single time we go here, and due to that we will definitely be leaving.

I brought my dog here for a bite injury he received. I'm new to the area and meant to book an appointment at the Anne Arundel Pet Hospital but accidentally booked on here. The woman who registered us was really nice and the technicians were excellent. The vet was god awful. I told him my dog couldn't walk and instead of allowing me to help coax him out of the cage, he dumped him onto to floor out of the crate. He then told me the wound was infected, when it wasn't. I do wildlife rehabilitation, work with large marine mammals, hold a PhD which I obtained from working with animals, and I study immunology. Needless to say, I know when a wound is infected. Hot, red, and swollen are an indication of a primary immune response, inflammation, not an infection. He gave my dog antibiotic shot and said he wanted to stitch him the next day (not sure why you would ever want to sew up an infected wound less than 24h later). When I went to the counter, I had to fight with the very rude cigarette smoke smelling receptionist to go get the clavamox and gabapentin my dog needed. She said I would get it tomorrow, but I already told her I would prefer to let the wound heal open. Not to mention, they wanted to charge $1200 to sew up a small incision and needed to put my dog under to do so, which I would never allow. I don't unnecessarily anesthetize my dog because they can go into respiratory arrest. The gave me the drugs, but a course of antibiotics, 3 days of pain pills, and an antibiotic shot and basic exam cost $265. Other people were complaining about their bills too and that the quotes were less than what they were charged by a lot of money. Nobody there seemed pleased with their care or the neglect of the front desk. I won't be going back here.

Couldn't be happier with the treatment we received at Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. We have tried to find a vet for a couple of years, we had been to two others previously and were not confident we could find a vet that had our dog and our best interest at heart. We had been putting off finding a vet for some time and getting vaccinations at the SPCA, based on past experiences. However, we found ourselves in need of a vet when our dog sprained his leg, at the time we weren't sure if it was sprained or broken and needed to find out. From the first phone call it was apparent that the staff actually cared about animals. They did their best to fit us into a schedule right away. Dr. Shah was very compassionate and professional. He was genuinely concerned about our dog and also aware of the cost of care, not recommending unnecessary procedures or products. He took his time on a very busy day to explain everything to us and was pleasant while doing so. There's not a bad thing I can say about this place, the staff, or the doctor.

Had a wonderful experience here. My dog was bit by a tick and the wound became infected and swollen. I called several places around the area including our original vet office for an immediate walk in or appointment and they all turned me away except for Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. They got us in asap and cleaned her wound. I was impressed with the additional time the doctor took to just chat with me and calm my nerves as well as with their fair prices. The staff was incredibly friendly and excellent with handling my hyper Aussie. After my first experience here, I’m changing our veterinarian clinic to Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. Would hands down recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet in the area.

I always love this place. I see them with three dogs and a cat and they never fail to provide excellent care all while making sure that I'm comfortable and informed. I've had an animal go through surgery as well as just my annuals. The prices are reasonable and the care stellar! I recommend them to all of my friends and everyone else. The staff is personable and kind as well. Dr Scherping is really amazing and well informed!!

We switched to this vet when we moved to the area and couldn't be happier. I had taken my dog in for ear infections at our other vet in Columbia 4 times and he kept getting them. When we took him here, they addressed the root of the problem and he hasn't had an ear infection since (it's been over 6 months). Any time we have taken him in they were so good with him and I was never worried that he wouldn't get better. We have since added another dog to the family and they have already shown the same quality of care for her. Every time we come I feel like they love our dogs like they are their own. Even if it has been a while since we last came in, it's clear that they remember our pups. I am so glad we found this place!

The staff showed very much compassion when I brought in my sick cat. I was given water from the receptionist because I was very upset. I have been at this vet before and received good care. The Doctor explained everything to me and called with sympathy when my older sick cat passed. The only problem was I was given a price in the back but when I went up front the amount was a lot more. The only reason I did not give a 5 star. The staff really cares about every animal that an owner brings in.

Had an appt yesterday for my boxer. Scheduled for 6:00pm. We arrived at 5:45 and we're the only patients waiting. By 6:30 I asked how much longer and was told 10 more minutes tops, as a woman walked in with a dog. 20 mins later she gets taken back, we're still waiting. It's now been 1 hour 5 minutes. At 7:00pm I said 5 more mins and I've got to go. Finally get taken back at 7:10, 1hr 10 mins after my scheduled appt time, 1hr 30 mins after I arrived. Spend 15 minutes with tech...nicians/ the vet and we're done. $230 for 15 mins of work but they did do a good job. Explained everything good, made my dog, and me feel comfortable. The service was good. If it wasn't for the extremely long waiting to be seen I'd definitely give 5 stars and recommend them to family and friends but 2 out of 3 visits here I've waited well over an hour and I feel that's unacceptable. Last week I called because my 18-year old kitty was hurting. I told her that he is really sick (they had seen him several times before, and we discussed that he was 18). She tells me they can see him in 7 days. "Next Tuesday at 1 pm."I called a different vet, whom I had never been to, and they made an appointment for him the next day. Ah, where to start with our sweet Izzy girl? We rescued Izzy, a pure breed Rottweiler in August, when we got her she was very malnutritioned and had a terrible ear infection! We immediately within the first 3 days of adopting her, took her to GBAH! We did find out she in fact had a terrible infection which was also affecting her eyes! Got some meds and she started to feel better! About a month ago, Izzy developed yet another ear infection, as before antibiotics were prescribed. The day of her follow up, she was fine! Ear infection gone again. About 6pm that evening, we noticed Izzy wasn't herself. Her hind legs were not working, due to her breed we thought "maybe she hurt her hips" as that evening progressed Izzy declined rapidly- she was messing in the house (which she doesn't do) she wouldn't get up for a treat. She was very very week! By the time we work up early Tuesday morning, all of her body let loose- we thought for sure we were losing our girl! We called GBAH immediately and they had us come in right away! They couldn't believe the difference in her just in 24 hours of seeing her. Dr. Pinkham let us know, that it could be Parvo. That scared me! They did blood work- Parvo was negative! We were then told her blood work was consistent with Addison's disease, and that Izzy was having an addisonion crisis, which in fact would kill her! She kept for the day and given IV fluids! When we picked her up she was back to her old self! Addison's means injections every month! Dr. Pinkham kept her again on Thursday- more fluids and the actual Addison test! And well our Girl is a Addison doggie! I ordered her medicine Friday (due to the fast acting staff) I was able to get the medicine by Saturday and the staff had us come right in!! Today, nearly 2 weeks later Izzy is back to her happy, lovable playful self!! Thank you so much to GBAH for caring about my girl as much as you did! Thank you, Dr Pinkham for being more than just a Dr

Amazing!! Went there for the first time today with my Chihuahua mix, Lewis, who has had some pretty bad veterinary visits in the past. His last vet refused to even try muzzling him after he bit one of their techs 6 months prior. Pam knew a challenging dog was coming today and she was prepared. She was patient and tried to get my Lewis to warm up to her when I was filling out paperwork. He truly proved to be a challenge when it was exam time but Pam and Dr. Pinkham were patient and tried everything until they could safely give Lewis his shots and draw blood. There are no words to truly describe how grateful I am for them.

We have had many pets to the GBAH over the years and have found both the staff and Dr. Shah compassionate to the pets they serve and that means a lot to us. I think we have not just a folder but a file cabinet there! Every animal we have taken has been given the best treatment possible. In the sad event of having to put one of our pets down, many times the attending staff has cried along with us. That is not business as usual and it means much in such a difficult time. We would highly recommend them to anyone wishing the best for their fur baby.

The blood work they took had to have shown the same results. I appreciate honesty.

Our very first experience with the staff at the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital was when we had to bring our cat of 12 years in for treatment. He lived a long, happy life and just wasn't strong enough for the surgery that he needed to save his life. The staff was so very respectful, compassionate, and attentive to our needs. And when Mr. Chip passed away, we were surprised to receive a poem with his paw print and a sympathy card. They truly understand the difference between a pet and furry family member. The care and sympathy that they showed not only before the surgery, but after he passed was exceptional. They went above and beyond our expectations. It shows beyond a shadow of doubt that they are not just running a business. They truly care about the lives that they care for. Amazing staff!!! I would highly recommend Glen Burnie Animal Hospital to all of my friends and family. Please don't miss the chance to let them care for your loved ones.

I have another dog that I take to rocky gorge animal hospital in laurel . everyone is on time and super friendly. So I will be taking my puppy there from now on. The only reason I took my puppy her was because my husband kept bugging me about it.

Dr. Krebs and the staff here are so great. I recently moved out of the country and needed all kinds of documents for my dog to travel. Dr. Krebs went above and beyond in researching what exactly I needed for the country I was traveling to and then took care of everything that needed to be done in the office. And as always, he was so sweet and gentle with my dog. You can tell that the doc and staff really love animals. Highly recommend!

Good in a pinch, but be prepared to pay. We have used GB Animal hospital for about 4 years. Our pet copay, pet assure, is accepted through this office, although you can tell it is not used that often here. They never bill us correctly (usually overcharge us the amount that is supposed to be deducted), and the 25% discount does not apply to anything not done in-house. Our most recent visit, we brought our cat in for a screening. She was having kidney/urinary problems so they sent out a urinalysis as expected. Strangely though, they also requested a culture test before the first test was even processed. Not a big deal, except the culture test was about $150 and probably unnecessary. And it seemed strange they couldn't do a simple initial test in house and sent out for the specialty test if needed. Makes me question their facilities/equipment. I have found this with them before, they are always willing to beef up the bill with one test or another. In some cases it is warranted, in others they are simply trying to increase their bottom line. So pay attention when they start recommending things, otherwise you'll walk out of there with an empty wallet/bank acccount.

I have 2 cats that I take to Glen Burnie Animal Hospital, and am "wowed" by their friendliness everytime. The office staff is always very friendly over the phone and in person, and has always gotten me an appointment within 2 or 3 days of calling. When I had adopted my second cat from the SPCA, I took her to see Dr. Krebs to get a wellness exam, just to make sure she was healthy coming from the shelter. He did a very thorough exam of her and listened to all my concerns and provided good advice. I also asked him about my other cat, who was not with me, about her gums being yellow which I had just discovered right before taking my other cat to the vet, and he took about 10 minutes discussing treatment of my other cat who wasn't even there, and said I could bring her in anytime that same day. I really appreciated that. I highly highly recommend. Also, turns out my other cat had just dunked one of her green toys in her water bowl and the dye from the toy blended with her water, and dyed her gums yellow. Not harmful and they are back to pink now!

We have access to the military vet, however, for emergencies it is necessary to find a place "out in town". We have lived here 6 years and have FINALLY found a vet that is wonderful - actually two of then: Dr. Krebs and Dr. Shah of the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. Both have tended to our Border Collie and they have been thorough - without over treating. BOTH have been very conscientious and compassionate and are very good at what they do. The office staff is kind and quite helpful in getting the pet seen as quickly as possible. Their prices are very competitive. We highly recommend this clinic for the care of your pet(s).

I am hesitantly giving the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital 2 stars based on the care of Dr. Krebs. The hospital should be rated much lower. Dr. Krebs is a great doctor, but the administrative staff is very, very unprofessional and rude, both over the phone and in person. I have never been greeted upon arriving and after standing there waiting to check in, it is usually, a, "You, what's the dog's name?" I witnessed the older receptionist scold a woman after the woman complained about not receiving the right medications, the woman was right. This receptionist also denied our dog the heart worm medication she needs that I ordered online. It was the same one that I would have gotten there, but the office was all out, so I ordered online, yet she denied me the prescription because she said, "What if the dog grows?" To which I responded, "That is fine, I will discontinue these but the doctor said that these are fine and the dog should not exceed 20lbs, and these go up to 25lbs." We have a dachshund. I followed what was recommended by the doctor but she denied the medication AND they had on in stock? AND the nurse said that even if she did go over 25 pounds by chance, you'd just double the dose.Aside from the terrible staff, the waiting time is horrific! They overbook animals and on our last visit it was 50 minutes after our scheduled time before I even saw the doctor! Very very frustrating.... Save yourself the time and go to another Doctor of Veterinary medicine in the area. There are several good veterinary doctors nearby, and after our last experience, we are going to elsewhere.

I always have such a pleasant experience when I walk into this vet office. The staff is so warm and inviting. (Sort of random experience, but, I was 2 minutes late because I just nicked my finger on the way to the office and was trying to find a band-aid in the car... when I came inside, they instantly went to the back and brought out a band-aid for my cut!). The staff is extremely personal and it is such a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other vet offices that I have experienced in this area. I had an appointment for my cat for a respiratory illness she came down with. I was seen shortly after my arrival and my cat was treated very well. We were sent home with meds and the instructions for giving them to my cat were well explained via a technician on staff as well as the receptionist.I also have dogs seen at the practice. They are cared for very well and I love how the veterinarians are willing to work with their customers on different ways of treating their pets. For example - my husky was seen a little over a year ago for some skin issues. The vet wanted to give him a medicine to treat it, but gave us sound advice to try looking into the same medicine.. just the kind humans would take. We were able to find it at a much lower cost thanks to his advice! **Definitely not the place to try and rip you off! They work with you and want what is best for your furry ones!

If Hailey was human, I might have been arrested for neglect. We'd taken her for a jog this morning, then walked over to the playset area in a park so I could get some cute photos. I'm clicking away (totally oblivious), when my husband notices bloody paw prints. Eek! Our dog ripped two of her toenails out at some point. She's such a sweet girl, she didn't make a noise when it happened, so we had no idea until we saw the blood pooling all around us. We're from out of town, so I searched for a local vet and found this one just 4 minutes away. We arrived on Christmas Eve, 15 minutes til close. They welcomed us in, and had us fill out new patient paperwork; the doctor came over shortly after. He talked us through everything he was doing, and was personable with us and good with the dog. I also really liked the vet tech, who was both friendly and nurturing. Really appreciated them taking us in on a holiday, and so close to closing time; especially appreciated the good care they gave my poor pup!

I have already recommended this Animal Hospital. They are Great! The staff is friendly and I can't say enough about the vet (Dr Krebs). He has helped me with 2 cat and 1 dog and he is caring and explains the step in detail of any action he takes. I highly recommend this hospital. I wish i would of found them earlier. They always find time to help everyone. Definately a Great Place to go.

I will not be coming back. I had a great experience with Dr Sherping but cannot stand Dr Shah. He would do everything possible to overcharge you for a visit. He will suggest test that are unnecessary and refuse to listen to the owner. I went to a different vet and the issue has been resolved. Wish I did this earlier and save the 3k. Front desk staff are very nice and have nothing but praise for these gals.

We have been bringing our 2 dogs here for the last 10 months or so. We have had several instances where we were charged wildly over the quote, and I have NEVER, not once, been seen on time. Last week, my husband waited AN HOUR after a scheduled appointment before he was seen, and that's the norm. I have wasted hours of my life waiting past a scheduled appointment there that I will never get back. Dr. Scherping is very kind and good with our dogs, but the male veterinarian there is awful. It seems that we have a negative experience every single time we go here, and due to that we will definitely be leaving.

I brought my dog here for a bite injury he received. I'm new to the area and meant to book an appointment at the Anne Arundel Pet Hospital but accidentally booked on here. The woman who registered us was really nice and the technicians were excellent. The vet was god awful. I told him my dog couldn't walk and instead of allowing me to help coax him out of the cage, he dumped him onto to floor out of the crate. He then told me the wound was infected, when it wasn't. I do wildlife rehabilitation, work with large marine mammals, hold a PhD which I obtained from working with animals, and I study immunology. Needless to say, I know when a wound is infected. Hot, red, and swollen are an indication of a primary immune response, inflammation, not an infection. He gave my dog antibiotic shot and said he wanted to stitch him the next day (not sure why you would ever want to sew up an infected wound less than 24h later). When I went to the counter, I had to fight with the very rude cigarette smoke smelling receptionist to go get the clavamox and gabapentin my dog needed. She said I would get it tomorrow, but I already told her I would prefer to let the wound heal open. Not to mention, they wanted to charge $1200 to sew up a small incision and needed to put my dog under to do so, which I would never allow. I don't unnecessarily anesthetize my dog because they can go into respiratory arrest. The gave me the drugs, but a course of antibiotics, 3 days of pain pills, and an antibiotic shot and basic exam cost $265. Other people were complaining about their bills too and that the quotes were less than what they were charged by a lot of money. Nobody there seemed pleased with their care or the neglect of the front desk. I won't be going back here.

Couldn't be happier with the treatment we received at Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. We have tried to find a vet for a couple of years, we had been to two others previously and were not confident we could find a vet that had our dog and our best interest at heart. We had been putting off finding a vet for some time and getting vaccinations at the SPCA, based on past experiences. However, we found ourselves in need of a vet when our dog sprained his leg, at the time we weren't sure if it was sprained or broken and needed to find out. From the first phone call it was apparent that the staff actually cared about animals. They did their best to fit us into a schedule right away. Dr. Shah was very compassionate and professional. He was genuinely concerned about our dog and also aware of the cost of care, not recommending unnecessary procedures or products. He took his time on a very busy day to explain everything to us and was pleasant while doing so. There's not a bad thing I can say about this place, the staff, or the doctor.

Had a wonderful experience here. My dog was bit by a tick and the wound became infected and swollen. I called several places around the area including our original vet office for an immediate walk in or appointment and they all turned me away except for Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. They got us in asap and cleaned her wound. I was impressed with the additional time the doctor took to just chat with me and calm my nerves as well as with their fair prices. The staff was incredibly friendly and excellent with handling my hyper Aussie. After my first experience here, I’m changing our veterinarian clinic to Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. Would hands down recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet in the area.

We switched to this vet when we moved to the area and couldn't be happier. I had taken my dog in for ear infections at our other vet in Columbia 4 times and he kept getting them. When we took him here, they addressed the root of the problem and he hasn't had an ear infection since (it's been over 6 months). Any time we have taken him in they were so good with him and I was never worried that he wouldn't get better. We have since added another dog to the family and they have already shown the same quality of care for her. Every time we come I feel like they love our dogs like they are their own. Even if it has been a while since we last came in, it's clear that they remember our pups. I am so glad we found this place!

The staff showed very much compassion when I brought in my sick cat. I was given water from the receptionist because I was very upset. I have been at this vet before and received good care. The Doctor explained everything to me and called with sympathy when my older sick cat passed. The only problem was I was given a price in the back but when I went up front the amount was a lot more. The only reason I did not give a 5 star. The staff really cares about every animal that an owner brings in.

Had an appt yesterday for my boxer. Scheduled for 6:00pm. We arrived at 5:45 and we're the only patients waiting. By 6:30 I asked how much longer and was told 10 more minutes tops, as a woman walked in with a dog. 20 mins later she gets taken back, we're still waiting. It's now been 1 hour 5 minutes. At 7:00pm I said 5 more mins and I've got to go. Finally get taken back at 7:10, 1hr 10 mins after my scheduled appt time, 1hr 30 mins after I arrived. Spend 15 minutes with tech...nicians/ the vet and we're done. $230 for 15 mins of work but they did do a good job. Explained everything good, made my dog, and me feel comfortable. The service was good. If it wasn't for the extremely long waiting to be seen I'd definitely give 5 stars and recommend them to family and friends but 2 out of 3 visits here I've waited well over an hour and I feel that's unacceptable. Last week I called because my 18-year old kitty was hurting. I told her that he is really sick (they had seen him several times before, and we discussed that he was 18). She tells me they can see him in 7 days. "Next Tuesday at 1 pm."I called a different vet, whom I had never been to, and they made an appointment for him the next day. He was humanely put down that day.

Ah, where to start with our sweet Izzy girl? We rescued Izzy, a pure breed Rottweiler in August, when we got her she was very malnutritioned and had a terrible ear infection! We immediately within the first 3 days of adopting her, took her to GBAH! We did find out she in fact had a terrible infection which was also affecting her eyes! Got some meds and she started to feel better! About a month ago, Izzy developed yet another ear infection, as before antibiotics were prescribed. The day of her follow up, she was fine! Ear infection gone again. About 6pm that evening, we noticed Izzy wasn't herself. Her hind legs were not working, due to her breed we thought "maybe she hurt her hips" as that evening progressed Izzy declined rapidly- she was messing in the house (which she doesn't do) she wouldn't get up for a treat. She was very very week! By the time we work up early Tuesday morning, all of her body let loose- we thought for sure we were losing our girl! We called GBAH immediately and they had us come in right away! They couldn't believe the difference in her just in 24 hours of seeing her. Dr. Pinkham let us know, that it could be Parvo. That scared me! They did blood work- Parvo was negative! We were then told her blood work was consistent with Addison's disease, and that Izzy was having an addisonion crisis, which in fact would kill her! She kept for the day and given IV fluids! When we picked her up she was back to her old self! Addison's means injections every month! Dr. Pinkham kept her again on Thursday- more fluids and the actual Addison test! And well our Girl is a Addison doggie! I ordered her medicine Friday (due to the fast acting staff) I was able to get the medicine by Saturday and the staff had us come right in!! Today, nearly 2 weeks later Izzy is back to her happy, lovable playful self!! Thank you so much to GBAH for caring about my girl as much as you did! Thank you, Dr Pinkham for being more than just a Dr

Amazing!! Went there for the first time today with my Chihuahua mix, Lewis, who has had some pretty bad veterinary visits in the past. His last vet refused to even try muzzling him after he bit one of their techs 6 months prior. Pam knew a challenging dog was coming today and she was prepared. She was patient and tried to get my Lewis to warm up to her when I was filling out paperwork. He truly proved to be a challenge when it was exam time but Pam and Dr. Pinkham were patient and tried everything until they could safely give Lewis his shots and draw blood. There are no words to truly describe how grateful I am for them.

We have had many pets to the GBAH over the years and have found both the staff and Dr. Shah compassionate to the pets they serve and that means a lot to us. I think we have not just a folder but a file cabinet there! Every animal we have taken has been given the best treatment possible. In the sad event of having to put one of our pets down, many times the attending staff has cried along with us. That is not business as usual and it means much in such a difficult time. We would highly recommend them to anyone wishing the best for their fur baby.

Our very first experience with the staff at the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital was when we had to bring our cat of 12 years in for treatment. He lived a long, happy life and just wasn't strong enough for the surgery that he needed to save his life. The staff was so very respectful, compassionate, and attentive to our needs. And when Mr. Chip passed away, we were surprised to receive a poem with his paw print and a sympathy card. They truly understand the difference between a pet and furry family member. The care and sympathy that they showed not only before the surgery, but after he passed was exceptional. They went above and beyond our expectations. It shows beyond a shadow of doubt that they are not just running a business. They truly care about the lives that they care for. Amazing staff!!! I would highly recommend Glen Burnie Animal Hospital to all of my friends and family. Please don't miss the chance to let them care for your loved ones.

I have another dog that I take to rocky gorge animal hospital in laurel . everyone is on time and super friendly. So I will be taking my puppy there from now on. Good in a pinch, but be prepared to pay. We have used GB Animal hospital for about 4 years. Our pet copay, pet assure, is accepted through this office, although you can tell it is not used that often here. They never bill us correctly (usually overcharge us the amount that is supposed to be deducted), and the 25% discount does not apply to anything not done in-house. Our most recent visit, we brought our cat in for a screening. She was having kidney/urinary problems so they sent out a urinalysis as expected. Strangely though, they also requested a culture test before the first test was even processed. Not a big deal, except the culture test was about $150 and probably unnecessary. And it seemed strange they couldn't do a simple initial test in house and sent out for the specialty test if needed. Makes me question their facilities/equipment. I have found this with them before, they are always willing to beef up the bill with one test or another. In some cases it is warranted, in others they are simply trying to increase their bottom line. So pay attention when they start recommending things, otherwise you'll walk out of there with an empty wallet/bank acccount.

I have 2 cats that I take to Glen Burnie Animal Hospital, and am "wowed" by their friendliness everytime. The office staff is always very friendly over the phone and in person, and has always gotten me an appointment within 2 or 3 days of calling. When I had adopted my second cat from the SPCA, I took her to see Dr. Krebs to get a wellness exam, just to make sure she was healthy coming from the shelter. He did a very thorough exam of her and listened to all my concerns and provided good advice. I also asked him about my other cat, who was not with me, about her gums being yellow which I had just discovered right before taking my other cat to the vet, and he took about 10 minutes discussing treatment of my other cat who wasn't even there, and said I could bring her in anytime that same day. I really appreciated that. I highly highly recommend. Also, turns out my other cat had just dunked one of her green toys in her water bowl and the dye from the toy blended with her water, and dyed her gums yellow. Not harmful and they are back to pink now!

We have access to the military vet, however, for emergencies it is necessary to find a place "out in town". We have lived here 6 years and have FINALLY found a vet that is wonderful - actually two of then: Dr. Krebs and Dr. Shah of the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital. Both have tended to our Border Collie and they have been thorough - without over treating. BOTH have been very conscientious and compassionate and are very good at what they do. The office staff is kind and quite helpful in getting the pet seen as quickly as possible. Their prices are very competitive. We highly recommend this clinic for the care of your pet(s).

I am hesitantly giving the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital 2 stars based on the care of Dr. Krebs. The hospital should be rated much lower. Dr. Krebs is a great doctor, but the administrative staff is very, very unprofessional and rude, both over the phone and in person. I have never been greeted upon arriving and after standing there waiting to check in, it is usually, a, "You, what's the dog's name?" I witnessed the older receptionist scold a woman after the woman complained about not receiving the right medications, the woman was right. This receptionist also denied our dog the heart worm medication she needs that I ordered online. It was the same one that I would have gotten there, but the office was all out, so I ordered online, yet she denied me the prescription because she said, "What if the dog grows?" To which I responded, "That is fine, I will discontinue these but the doctor said that these are fine and the dog should not exceed 20lbs, and these go up to 25lbs." We have a dachshund. I followed what was recommended by the doctor but she denied the medication AND they had on in stock? AND the nurse said that even if she did go over 25 pounds by chance, you'd just double the dose.Aside from the terrible staff, the waiting time is horrific! They overbook animals and on our last visit it was 50 minutes after our scheduled time before I even saw the doctor! Very very frustrating.... Save yourself the time and go to another Doctor of Veterinary medicine in the area. There are several good veterinary doctors nearby, and after our last experience, we are going to elsewhere.

I always have such a pleasant experience when I walk into this vet office. The staff is so warm and inviting. (Sort of random experience, but, I was 2 minutes late because I just nicked my finger on the way to the office and was trying to find a band-aid in the car... when I came inside, they instantly went to the back and brought out a band-aid for my cut!). The staff is extremely personal and it is such a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other vet offices that I have experienced in this area. I had an appointment for my cat for a respiratory illness she came down with. I was seen shortly after my arrival and my cat was treated very well. We were sent home with meds and the instructions for giving them to my cat were well explained via a technician on staff as well as the receptionist.I also have dogs seen at the practice. They are cared for very well and I love how the veterinarians are willing to work with their customers on different ways of treating their pets. For example - my husky was seen a little over a year ago for some skin issues. The vet wanted to give him a medicine to treat it, but gave us sound advice to try looking into the same medicine.. just the kind humans would take. We were able to find it at a much lower cost thanks to his advice! **Definitely not the place to try and rip you off! They work with you and want what is best for your furry ones!

If Hailey was human, I might have been arrested for neglect. We'd taken her for a jog this morning, then walked over to the playset area in a park so I could get some cute photos. I'm clicking away (totally oblivious), when my husband notices bloody paw prints. Eek! Our dog ripped two of her toenails out at some point. She's such a sweet girl, she didn't make a noise when it happened, so we had no idea until we saw the blood pooling all around us. We're from out of town, so I searched for a local vet and found this one just 4 minutes away. We arrived on Christmas Eve, 15 minutes til close. They welcomed us in, and had us fill out new patient paperwork; the doctor came over shortly after. He talked us through everything he was doing, and was personable with us and good with the dog. I also really liked the vet tech, who was both friendly and nurturing. Really appreciated them taking us in on a holiday, and so close to closing time; especially appreciated the good care they gave my poor pup!
