If I could give them 10 stars, I would! The staff is very accommodating, knowledgeable and experienced!! They treat my pets like family! The last place I took my cats lacked customer service, and I felt rushed. I wasn't confident in their ability to treat my pets with the exception of immunizations.  Potomac Animal Wellness Hospital is now my go to place when it comes to receiving quality care for my pets. When you walk in, you see a picture of the owner's dog. Now what's the big deal, right? Well the owner's dog has since passed, but the picture is a tribute to his canine friend. I love Dr. Quigley!! She is ABSOLUTELY the BEST and a true animal lover. She is kind to my canine and truly cares. I drove a long way because I trust her and she gives honest suggestions. She gets down on the floor and gets to your pet's level. I never feel rushed and she answers all your questions no matter how many you have.  My canine had issues with her antibiotics and when I called they addressed my issues promptly and always called me back promptly. They even took into account my long drive and called around to see what pharmacy closest to me carried the needed medication. Dr. Quigley is an awesome veterinarian and you can tell she is working in her true calling. The veterinarian techs, front desk personnel and anesthetist are equally AWESOME!! No doubt these folks saved my dog's life. He was attacked by another dog and I immediately took him to the nearest vet [this location]. The staff was very friendly and assisted my dog with an extreme sense of urgency. The entire staff from, from the front desk to the doctors made me feel like my situation was a top priority. I took my 2 dogs here for the first time this week for shots and annual exams. First impression was great! Dr Quigley was very nice and she even sat in the floor with my dogs to give their shots to make them feel better, which I thought was very cool of her. Everyone from the vet, vet tech and receptionist were very friendly and professional. They have very accommodating hours which is great for people that work. Just moved to the area, so finding an awesome vet was a must. This place is not only just 5 mins from my house, but everything about my experience was so great! -The inside is so clean and open. Lots of room for animals to roam/walk around on leash. I can see how this is so good for busy days.. People aren't cramped up in a small waiting room with their pets! -The girls at the front desk were so pleasant and friendly, def a plus for customer service! -The vet tech was extremely nice. He was really genuine in asking questions trying to help figure out what the issue was. He seemed very knowledgeable! (The vet techs I've experienced at other places have always just been so short with answers and haven't asked many question. They just shove you in a room, weigh your dog, take temp and tell you to wait for the vet.) -The vet came in and he was also extremely nice and caring!! Also very genuine! Our usual vet is Dr. Quigley and so far our appointments with her have been wondeful. The wait times are super long but I think it is worth it because she is thorough, and remembers previous details about our puppy. Today was the first time we met Dr. Parkins and from the reviews I was expecting someone equally as wonderful. Instead I got someone who did not even bother to read my puppy's file, lectured me about my puppy's diet and food when what I came there was to get some relief for my puppy's teething pain.After a night of no sleep, a full busy work day (I telecommute), managing a teething puppy and rushing to make it to PAWs on time, I admittedly was not the most present owner, but the details are already on file. I did not need to debate or argue and be lectured on what my puppy was eating when his usual vet didn't even have a problem with it and we saw her only a week ago or so ago.Apart from this negative experience, all the technicians at PAWs are very professional and actually pretty sweet. We are a small feline rescue group based in Maryland.  Recently, one of our senior cats was having difficulty breathing.  It was a Sunday, and we figured we would have to use the services of a local veterinarian emergency room.  The trouble with these places is they take forever to diagnose what is wrong with your animal because they want to do every kind of test under the sun, and they cost a fortune.  As I was looking up their phone number on the Internet, I was lucky enough to find a full service veterinarian clinic, Potomac Animal Wellness Services, aka PAWS,  that is open seven days a week.  That's right.  They are open for business most days from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.  Also, they have reasonable prices and the best thing of all, they care about you and your pets. Our cat, Phyllis, was very sick having been diagnosed with an enlarged heart two months earlier by our regular vet.  We were heartbroken having to put her to sleep.  Dr. Quigley and her staff were very sympathetic and supportive to my husband that day as he was the one who brought her to them. A few days later, we received a beautiful sympathy card signed by the entire staff at PAWS.  If you are looking for a veterinarian service that realizes your animal could get sick outside the regular hours most veterinarians keep these days, then this is the place for you.  If you are looking for highly skilled and compassionate veterinarians and staff, this is the place for you.  The next time your pet gets sick or needs a regular exam, give PAWS a visit.  They will more than likely become your new veterinarian.  We highly recommend them. This veterinary office is under new management and the change has been great! Gone are the long waiting times (even with appointments) and weird hours (are they open in the evenings tonight or not?).Dr. Parkins has seen 4 of my cats. The most troublesome cat had a rare heart condition, but he was straightforward about his experience with this heart condition and referring my questions to the specialists when needed. Dr. Parkins was sensitive to doing as much monitoring as we could locally so we wouldn't need to drag an anxious cat up to the specialist in Annapolis more than necessary. He's also unblocked a young male cat's urinary tract, as well as more routine stuff like dentals, vaccines, and boarding while we moved (locally). I highly recommend him for any health needs that your pet needs. There's a second vet at the practice now, Dr. Quigley. I've only seen her once (a recheck/bloodwork for my heart disease cat). She was great during that visit (even though I was covered in cat urine). Read Less

I absolutely loved Dr. Fox and the staff for their attention to detail and how they helped me with my rabbits when my regular vet was on an extended vacation. They were great about taking care of and treatment of small animals. The entire staff at Glymont Animal Hospital is incredibly empathic, professional and attentive. I love how the Veterinarians and support staff are incredibly knowledgeable and truly listen to what you want for your pet. I've been using them for over 6 years ... First for my own dog and now for my friend's dog. Previous veterinarians I used were always pushing a certain dog food, flea & tick treatments and various other "needs". At Glymont, they LISTEN to how your animal lives and what activities they do. They don't push extra treatments if your pet doesn't need them. I had a wonderful experience with Glymont Animal Hospital. Dr. Fox has been a huge help through complications that were of no fault of the hospital(if anything they were my own for foolishly delaying neutering my Great Pryenees) . The price is more than fair for the quality of care. I would recommend Glymont to anyone who asked. If you are concerned about the other poor reviews posted here I would recommend looking at the profiles of those who posted them and wondering why they didn't bother justifying their review.
