Yesterday, I noticed my dog was showing signs of an ear infection. He is a Cocker Spaniel and they are prone to ear infections, but when they have one you are supposed to treat it ASAP and not let it go on too long before getting it taken care of. I was calling every vet in town and they were all booked out until Saturday - this was on a Tuesday. One of the vets I called referred me to this vet so I called and they said they could take me same day! I was so happy. The receptionist, vet tech, and veterinarian were all wonderful. Scheduling, paperwork and appointment itself were simple to go through. They explained everything to me and showed me how to use the medicine. You can tell the staff at this vet definitely cares about your pet and your concerns as a pet parent. They thoroughly examined my dog and distracted him from his examination with treats and affection. I would highly recommend this place. They were SO nice to my dog and to me - answered any questions I had and were thorough and honest The vet told me I would not need a follow up appointment unless my dog did not seem to get better, where he could have just told me to come in to get more money out of me. This was a really great experience and I can't thank you guys enough for helping my dog on such short notice.

Love this place. Has been here almost half a century and the doctor looks like a younger version of Kirk Douglas. Great guy.
They have two doctors, and a wonderful and caring staff who make you and your pet feel at ease right away. Too bad their location is in an area not too many people are familiar with or may have reservations visiting, but rest assured once you are there, both you and your pet will never thin about another veterinary clinic again.
They also have a secure online portal for your pet's medical history and records that you can access and customize with your pet's pictures, set reminders and alerts etc. I highly recommend this place.

Yes, there are a fair # of knowledgeable vets in the Laurel area, but what makes him and his team stand out is their bedside manner. They truly care about your 4 legged family member and Dr Brenner takes the time to explain the situation in a manner you can understand, and does it in a non-rushed way!

I just took my cat to Dr. Brenner today for severe constipation issues. I was very pleased with Dr. Brenner's attitude and the amount of questions he asked as he tried to figure out how to proceed. ...
I just took my cat to Dr. Brenner today for severe constipation issues. I was very pleased with Dr. Brenner's attitude and the amount of questions he asked as he tried to figure out how to proceed. I ESPECIALLY liked that he didn't want to run very costly scans and do other costly procedures to "rule out" causes. He took the rather young age of my cat into account and sent us home with medicine and instructions on how to proceed over the next couple of days. He did caution that if this didn't work he would have to do Xrays and other things but he tried a low risk, low cost approach first. I understand the risks but I also don't have hundreds to thousands of dollars to spend.

Let me start by saying this. I have been looking for a vet that I am comfortable at and trust for YEARS! I've been holding my nose with the places I've gone to in the past, not to say they were bad, I was just looking for a place that was a bit more personable towards my cat, not "what can I sell you, thanks for your money see you in a few days" kinda place.
Dr. Brenner saw my kitty today, upon walking into the room, he went right for her and started talking to her, petting her, and checking her over, not even a word to me. (I had already talked to vet tech about what was wrong so he already knew what was going on with her) It made me instantly fall in love with him as a vet seeing as his top and utmost priority was my cat, not my money.
He didn't try to sell me the latest in cat medicine and the newest organic cat treat to give her, he told me the plan of action to make her better, and told me my options. Upon reading reviews, I saw that pricing was an issue for some. I found the prices very reasonable, and even cheaper than Rocky Gorge where I had taken her for an emergency visit this weekend (I had previously taken my other cat here regularly). I didn't have any crazy work done to her, so maybe this is why.
Staff was friendly, caring, and very down to earth. They have made a new customer out of me, and I will be recommending this place to everyone!

My dog absolutely loves coming to this place. Kind, courteous, and professional is how I'd describe everybody. My dog ESPECIALLY loves Dr. Brenner. She adores him. The staff treats both animal and humans well. Affordable and has a military discount. Nice clean facility. Often has monthly specials.

I've brought my cats to Brenner Animal Hospital since I moved to Maryland over 20 years ago. Dr. Brenner keeps up-to-date with the latest news in veterinary medicine which is great for my elderly cat who has kidney disease, pancreatitis and other ailments. Theo is 17 years old and hanging in there. The staff is always helpful and are able to handle Theo even when he isn't in a good mood!

I've been coming to Dr. Brenner for 19 years and four dogs now, and I very highly recommend him. I've even brought fish into him! His staff is excellent- happy, friendly, always greeting my dog by name. He's committed to not just treating your pet, but also telling you why he recommends a certain treatment. First class place!!!!!

Amazing. My Candy had stones and I was nervous about her surgery. Dr. Brenner made my baby feel comfortable and happy on her first visit since he was so sweet to her. The day of the surgery I left her early in the morning and was able to pick her up in the evening. Dr.Brenner explained everything and handed me packet that also was a written explanation of went on during surgery which made me so happy because I never had a vet ever explain to me with such detail like he did. The packet even had a cute picture of my pup. I was set with such ease with him and his staff. I will be bringing my bully for his check up next and even recommended him to my family for there puggle. Only thing is that the vet is in Laurel and I am located in Baltimore but it is well worth the drive!!! Thank again everyone. Candy is recovering so awesome and sends her regards.

When I got my first pet in 1987, a wee black kitten named Sugar Kitty, I took her to Brenner Animal Hospital on the recommendation of Andy Zusi of Budget Print Center next door. My kitties have now been patients of Dr Brenner for over 27 years and there is nobody in the whole wide world I trust more with their health and safety!

Yesterday, I noticed my dog was showing signs of an ear infection. He is a Cocker Spaniel and they are prone to ear infections, but when they have one you are supposed to treat it ASAP and not let it go on too long before getting it taken care of. They have two doctors, and a wonderful and caring staff who make you and your pet feel at ease right away. Too bad their location is in an area not too many people are familiar with or may have reservations visiting, but rest assured once you are there, both you and your pet will never thin about another veterinary clinic again.
