Unfortunately, a careless misdiagnosis nearly cost the life of my best friend! My cat went in to be checked for frequent painful/straining urination, and urinating in inappropriate places outside of the litter box. All symptoms pointing to a fatal disease FLUTD. If left untreated for more than 48 hours, an otherwise young, and extremely healthy cat would be dead. In the office I was told by both the veterinarian and technician that his symptoms were due to possible "impacted anal glands", and that "cats can be finicky"  along with "We can't do anything until we get a urine sample" Ummm Hello, my cat is clearly blocked and is unable to create a urine sample!!!!I left the office with $100 wasted, feeling defeated, and lost because I knew my cat cat was extremely sick. What had Millersville Animal Hospital done to help me? Not a thing! After taking a very quick turn for the worse I had to rush my cat to an emergency vet located on best gate road, have him put under anesthesia, and unblocked for over $600. A day later I took him to a vet who appropriately diagnosed him with FLUTD, gave him fluids, injections, and more medicine to literally save his life. I'm extremely disappointed in Millersville Animal Hospital, as the location was convenient. For the prices they do not successfully diagnose their patients. Do not take your loved ones here. If I could give them NO STARS I would at this point!!! I have been coming here for years with my dogs, one is going on 10 years old and yes some of the staff is nice some aren't. Just a little over a month ago I took my 4.5 month old Frenchie there cause he wasn't using his front leg. They did some X-rays and said they didn't see anything about 2 weeks later i still didn't see him improving so i made another appointment (which I wish i would of went somewhere else) and they got me in which now it was about 3 weeks since everything started, they did new X-rays which didn't look much diffident to me really for them to say now they see what could be a break. now after everything is said and done with and going to another place since they said there wasn't anything they could do for my puppy I have now been told he broke something in his elbow and since puppies heal so fast there isn't much they can do besides hoping he will learn to just deal with it or remove the leg because surgery may not even help. surgery is about $3000 and the surgeon in Annapolis at CVSS said to not even bother with the surgery. I am not only beyond pissed but upset and devastated that my 5 month french bulldog cant live a normal life anymore because of them misdiagnosing my puppy. the amount of money i spent on him to just to get him doesn't even matter at this point its the fact that i have this puppy who cant walk normal he cant play or run and cant go on walks because of this. Everhart looked at the very first X-ray and said it didn't look normal and any normal vet would of taken a differ view and it could of been seen and fixed when it first happened. I don't know about anyone else but if this happened to your puppy i would think you would be pretty upset especially because i have been here for so many years i trusted them with my fur babies. Last year if someone would of asked me if they should take there pet here I would of said yea but after the last two months of dealing with this mess and all the hurt i would never tell anyone to go here and i will make sure that everyone i have sent to them pull there pets from this place because i would never want anyone to ever have to deal with the hurt and sadness i have had to go threw and will have to deal with for many years to come considering hes only 5 months so i will have to deal with this for the rest of his life. I personal am looking into whatever i can do to make sure this place pays for what they have done to my Frenchie!!! PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!! Read Less

My wife and child brought our very sick dog here. The the Vet was very rude as she DOGGED my family out as she insinuated that the dog had been neglected. She (the Vet) recommended the dog be euthanized, which broke our hearts. My child called me up crying as he told me the Vet questioned him about the care he gave the dog and my son said the Vet pretty much blamed him for the state of the dog. We ran out of there with our sick dog and went to another Vet in the area who assured us that the dog's sickness had nothing to do with the care we gave it. Even if you thought that it was the care we gave it, why would you treat an 11 year old boy so harshly that he felt like crap. I will not be going back here.Read Less

I brought my cat Fred (girl!) here for an eye problem and being lethargic. Firstly, the main girl vet tech was not friendly AT ALL. It took way too long to take my cats temperature (by thermometer in the butt) than should've been necessary. I asked why it took a couple minutes, and the other girl said "Oh, that thermometer doesn't work as well as the other."  WTF? GET EQUIPMENT THAT WORKS. Especially if it's going in animals uncomfortable spots. Annoying.. Ok, so it's determined that my cat has a fever.  The doctor comes in soon after and doesn't introduce himself by name, but was friendly. He gave me more information about Feline HIV, AIDS and all these other diseases and frankly shook me up and asked me if I wanted to check Fred for those just in case. It could be just a bacteria thing she got from being outside.... BUT she could have AIDS. Umm.. I was nervous and just said sure, do the blood test. I didn't want to say no and the cat be sick and die or something! I should've known these places just want to run as many tests as possible to get your money. BOTH CAME BACK NEGATIVE. Yay for Fred.Lastly he gave her a shot with anti-biotics (all I came for in the first place it seemed), I paid the $100 bill and left. It was strange to me honestly, he should've just given that to her at first to cure what I came for... not try to scare me and run multiple tests. It's making me mad even thinking of.I would not go back here. Read Less
