I want to write all positive things about Four Corners but just can't.Dr. Bowersett is good, and the desk staff are friendly and helpful.Problem #1: When we first moved to the area, we took our two dogs together to the vet for checkups. The office ended up misplacing one of the dog's records so that at our next appointment they couldn't do everything needed (since I left my copy of the records at home, assuming they...you know...had a record of my dog). Honestly, the assistant was a real jerk about it, arrogantly insisting that I was wrong, that we hadn't taken in the dog prior to that day despite my insistence, etc. She just acted like an a-hole, man. I was ticked off and would've found another vet, but felt my time and options in the area were very limited. Lo and behold, at the next (rescheduled) appointment my dog's records had magically reappeared.Problem #2: As I said above, I think Dr. Bowersett is knowledgeable. He seems to have a reasoned response to treating dog problems. (He also euthanized one of our dogs -- that was a tough experience for my wife and me, and he was very compassionate.) The younger Dr. Elizabeth, while very nice to us and kind to our dogs, grossly overreacted to problems. First, she advised us to take our dog to a nearby canine eye doctor. We did but ended up not going forward with the procedure since the chances for success were slim. At a later visit with Dr. Bowersett, he indicated that the procedure wouldn't have worked anyway due to our dog having Cushing's Disease, meaning that Dr. Elizabeth's recommendation would have been costly ($1200+) and fruitless in the end. Some months later, Dr. Elizabeth did a checkup on our other dog and found a low red blood cell count. She ran tests and advised us to immediately go to a nearby emergency clinic. We spend $900 total that day and found nothing substantial. Regenerative anemia was the diagnosis. Then last week, our new vet (we moved away from Silver Spring) diagnosed our dog with congestive heart failure, which likely was causing the problem I believe. A simple x-ray at Four Corners ($50 in Buffalo NY, $?? in Silver Spring) would have revealed the enlarged heart and saved us all that time, money, etc.Bottom line: If you use this clinic, try to make your appointment with Dr. Bowersett. I don't enjoy badmouthing people -- my apologies to all those impugned in this review but unfortunately (for everyone) you earned it. Read Less
