I've been taking my German Shepherd mix to Coolridge for over 8 years. I've seen a lot of doctors come and go. Now, since Dr Davis has taken over the practice, the feeling is very Zen and un-hurried, so peaceful. They've changed the colors and furniture. Dr Davis has changed the whole feel of the place, very relaxing. He's very patient and really cares about your fur baby. Dr Davis gives great advice and takes good care of your baby. Oh yeah, Todd and staff are super great too, they really love their work. I would recommend Coolridge and Dr Davis to anyone who loves their baby no matter how big your baby is. I have used this vet for several years with my two boxers and the Maltese I had. They have excellent customer service. They treat your pet as if it's their pet and most important, I TRUST THEIR ADVISE. I highly recommend them. Read Less

I would not recommend this vet to any one else. In the past year my dog has had the same symptoms and different diagnosis from three different vets... each time the price goes up in have yet to see the same vet twice and it seams as if they have no record of the last visit. For the most part, my experience over the past 6 to 8 months has been good, though some staff members can be a bit curt and abrupt. Perhaps they're having a crazy busy day or dealing with the unfortunate loss of a pet (I know, no excuse right, but they too are human). Most will make an effort to provide good customer service and no doubt know that this helps their business remain in good standing with it's customers. Sometimes ratings embellished after a great experience or written without consideration when not so good. Whatever the case, I remain a loyal customer at Coolridge after leaving Indian Head (another story) and appreciate the efforts of staff, assistants and Vets who take time to talk to you, entertain our animals, our anxieties and questions. The staff was very professional and friendly, however, after spending several visits and a bit of money for visits and tests, I was told to just use over the counter allergy medication for my pup's skin condition which was still of no help. My low score is more about didn't experience enough to provide a diagnosis and treatment for my pup's skin condition. Very disappointing Read Less

I brought my cat here beciase her regular vet was out of the country and she needed immediate attention. They did treat my cat and gave her an antibiotic to clear up her cough. Inner office communition is not very good. Depends on which person answers the phone whether or not they care enough to look at a chart to give you accurate information. After going through the bill I called with a question about a test they ran and the vetrinarian just kept repeating the test results to me like im an idiot instead of explaining why it was neccessary. I asked was is there any other way to explain it to me so that I understood and she got an attitude. They also sent me to their website to buy cat food where it is the 2nd from the most expensive place I found after doing a 5 min Internet search not even telling me there was a less expensive option. That's just what they had available. They did make my cat feel better which is why I'm giving 2 stars but they don't seem to be the most honest people and they lack proffesionalism. Im not even taking my cat back there for a follow up. I would not recommend this place unless it's a dire emergency. Read Less

I have taken one of my dogs to Coolridge because he was new rescue and Coolridge was near my house and they have really good hours.  The staff is AMAZING, it is clear they love what they do.  I am going to switch my older furry boy to them this month.  The reason for the four stars is the cost, it is in line with this area but having two dogs going for check ups can get a bit pricey. We take our English bulldog here and have had great experiences all three times we have gone! She had to go in for a regular check up, once for an ear infection and once for her anal glands. The staff has been awesome and always calls after the appointments a couple of times to check on her. The prices aren't as cheap as Pennsylvania or on base, but not as extravagant as some other places in the area. The friendliness of the staff and the speed that they always get us in is more than worth it. Read Less

I've been taking my pets to Coolridge Animal Hospital for 25 years. The doctors and staff have given all my "babies" the best possible care from the beginning of their lives until the end. Why is it that our pets are always quiet when they enter the animal hospital?  They'll meow or bark their heads off on the way there, knowing they're going to see the vet.  But as soon as they walk in, all is quiet.  Is there some odorless chemical floating in the air that calms our furry friends?Coolrigde is a nice little vet place to take your pets for checkups, shots and illnesses.  The vets and staff are absolutely friendly.  They'll handle your animals with care.Their diverse staff comes with diverse knowledge and advices.  Thanks to one of them telling us the pros and cons of eating "wet" and dry food.  We now have our cats on wet food and they've lost weight to where they should be.I like the fact that Coolridge sends you a postcard, reminding you of an upcoming appointment for pets.
