My mom has been taking our pets here for years now. And we've been very happy with the original doctor's who usually see us. But for some reason, my dog got a new Dr this time around and I am a vet tech myself, not a doctor, and I even knew there was something seriously wrong. This lady just wrote it off like it was nothing. She literally told my mother that it was just a hair Matt. Even though his chin was dripping body fluids. So she is now sitting with him in the pet ER so he can finally feel better because now the infection has spread to his paw. Whoever this new female Dr is, needs to do some more research and retake her boards--because she obviously doesn't know her own @$$ from her elbow.

We spent $200 to bring our cat in to see Dr. Howard. For that amount of money we got a rushed exam that we felt was not thorough, an incorrect e-mail address - we tried to contact the doctor directly but the e-mail address was the labs address. We never got a response from Dr. Howard we heard from the office manager only. We spent over $130 on lab work which we were contacted via e-mail the results stating our cats blood work was (good) which contradicts the actual printed results. The lab results on some of the labs were - med to high markers and on one result was high.
I will never take my cat here again and will not recommend this veterinarian to anyone. If this google review is removed we will make sure it stays up. We are angry that this service for our pet was a negative experience.

I have been taking my furbabies to Timonium Animal Hospital since it was originally located in Timonium Plaza! I have seen Dr. Gernhardt, Dr. Stevens, Dr. H, Dr Shelly and everyone there. They've always given my pets the best care, were beyond compassionate when my older boy had to be put down and all round great. I continue to take my dogs there even after I've moved almost half an hour away. I have recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so!

I have been with Timonium Animal Hospital even before it was "Timonium Animal Hospital"! The entire staff has always been so caring to ALL of our animals we've brought to them over the years. Yesterday especially was heartfelt for us. My husband and I took our 9yr. old Siberian Husky Mya in for a check-up because she had stopped eating 3 days days ago. Well, after xrays and bloodwork we had to make the most heart wrenching decision ever and decided to end her suffering. She had diabetes, pancreatitis and her kidneys were failing. She probably only had 24-48hrs. left so we then said our goodbyes and allowed her to cross over the Rainbow Bridge.<3 Thank you again to Dr. Brand, Kate and the office manager!!!!<3

My husband and I are so grateful for the loving support and expertise of Dr. Brand and the many others who cared for Hudson last week. He received the best care from Timonium Animal Hospital and we know that he was given every possible chance and the best treatment available for his condition. Everyone at Timonium was so supportive and kind to us, even when we came in every morning at the crack of dawn with our little buddy in tow, and welcomed us around back as we sat with Hudson in his room. Dr. Brand left no stone unturned in researching his condition and kept us informed, explained test results, and gave us updates throughout the long days Hudson spent there. We have been taking our older dog Tucker to Timonium for years now, and after this would never consider taking him anywhere else. I have been taking my cats here for over 15 years. The level of care has been consistently excellent no matter who saw them. Always willing to take the extra time to answer all my questions.
Where they really excel the most in my experience has been in dealing with animals with terminal conditions (cancer). While surgery and chemo were discussed as options, they were very candid with my about likelihoods or not of success. Dr. Stephens has really phenomenal in coming up with a variety of ways to provide compassionate care to make my pet as comfortable as possible and keep his quality of life high for the final stretch.
I worked part-time as a vet's assistant in high school and college so I have high expectations. Both vets and staff at this Hospital exceed my expectations every time.

We saw Dr. Stephens on Saturday at the suggestion of another client. My dog has very bad anxiety, and had previously been seen by a vet clinic. At the clinic's suggestion we moved him to a full service vet. Our visit was a great experience. They gave us a exam room to wait in, which made his visit much easier due to his anxiety with other dogs. Dr. Stephens was extremely knowledgeable on pet behavior treatments and was able to properly advise him on our treatment options, and also made him feel comfortable in the vet office (something uncommon for our dog). I would highly recommend.

Terrible, unethical place and I would never recommend them to anyone!My dog had a liver problem that they assured me could be treated but a needle biopsy necessary to determine the appropriate treatment with medications. I agreed. They never called me and I had to call them after the procedure. I was told to pick her up. When arriving, I saw she had drainage tubes in BOTH lungs. They told me to take her to a 24 hour care facility. They called to make the arrangements, but refused to help financially even though I did not have the money necessary to pay for it. They told me to come up with the money or take her home and watch her die! (no kidding...that's what they told me!) I borrowed money to take my dog to the 24 hour care facility but to no avail. She was weakened beyond belief after this procedure and, after consulting 3 other veteranarian facilities, it was shown this was NOT a normal result of such a procedure. We settled out of court and I was reimbursed my money, but I lost my beloved dog in the process. They still do not admitt fault and they now claim they do not even have any records so I should not post anything against them. (per another web review). They do not even remember what they did! But I do, and I have the records to PROVE it!

I am writing this to bring to light the unfortunate situation that is taking place at Timonium Animal Hospital. Many of the people that work there have nothing but the best disposition toward each other, the animals they take care of, and the people bringing their animals for care. However, the owner of this practice treats her employees like second class citizens and does not give them the humane treatment they deserve. I hope for the very best for everyone that works there, but please, do not patronize this establishment any longer. The owner does not deserve to be the recepient of all of her employees' hard work.

Incredible - Loving -Thank you! I have been going to Timonium Animal Hospital for 6 year. My 11 year old boxer was recently diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Gernhert in a very caring way presented my options to me. We chose to put my boxer down because we did not want her to suffer. The entire vet clinic was very supportive and empathetic during this extremely sad time. They allowed the process to occur on my time. At no time was I rushed in my decision, I actually waited 10 days. Once I did make the decision, I was able to stay with my pup during the process so she was not left alone. After, I was able to stay with my pup for as long as I needed say good-bye. A week later, they even sent a sympathy card to my house with my pups paw print on it. It was the nicest thing they could have done. I could really tell through the actions and words of everyone in the clinic, they understood how I felt and wanted to make this decision as easy as possible for me. I could not have had such a positive experience during such a difficult time in my life. Thank you so much to Dr. Gernhart and associates.

We have been taking our dogs to Timonium Animal Hospital for 15 years. Dr. Gernhart and her staff consistently provide top quality care in an extremely compassionate environment. We have had to visit her for a number of surgeries and for management of chronic conditions and have been extremely pleased. They are very accommodating and wait times are minimal. I can't recommend this vet practice highly enough.

My pets have been seeing Dr. Gernhart for almost 20yrs. I would not take them anywhere else. I have never met a more genuine, caring, compassionate person. She will recommend the best treatment for my pet, then Taylor it to my budget. The thing I like most is the straight forward honesty. No promises, just medical fact and her opinion on what her experience has shown. Then when the time must come to say good bye.. they handle me with dignity and compasion.

We've been with Dr. Gernhart since the beginning, and would trust no one else with our beloved pets. The entire staff is knowledgable, professional, and care for our pets as if they were their own. We always receive honest, clear explanations and advice about treatment, and because of the level of care, we were able to have two dogs with significant health issues with us much longer than we could ever have hoped. They are the best, and if they could treat humans, we'd be there!

I Love Timonium Animal Hospital. I have two chow chows,Bigsley and Roxy who are both rescue dogs and I know for a fact that Dr. Gernhart has saved my Roxy's life at least twice. Everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly to me and my family. I could not have gone to a better veterinary hospital.I have even sent other people to them and they were equally as happy there. I have been taking my pets there for at least five years and hope to continue taking any future pets I may have to them for all there vet needs. Keep up the good work Timonium Animal Hospital.

We took our cat to Timonium animal hospital because she was showing signs of being sick. Timonium Animal Hospital diagnosed our cat with a bladder infection and kidney failure. The prescribed three different medications saying that our cat could be treated very affordably and that treatment could extend her life for years. On our follow-up visit, the vet charged us for many unnecessary procedures ($80 just to take the cat's blood pressure) and gave us a ""shame on you"" attitude when we explained we were not financially able to absorb the costs of treatment. Our bill for a single month was over $1,000. Our cat died the month following despite the treatment and the vet's assurances that we could prolong her life.

I have taken my pets to Timonium Animal Hospital Hospital for several years now. The level of care that I have recieved is far beyond the level of care that I have ever experienced @ any other animal hospital. They really pay attention to the little things. I took my boxer in there 2 weeks ago because he started having seizures. Dr Gernhart and Dr Howard both helped work on his case. They have both called me since my visit to check on him (most Vets do not do that). Also, they are very understanding of any financial concerns that I had. They provided me with detailed estimates and options that fit my financial situation and were in the best interest of my pets. I would trust and value their opinion and I know that my pets are safe in their care.

My mom has been taking our pets here for years now. And we've been very happy with the original doctor's who usually see us. But for some reason, my dog got a new Dr this time around and I am a vet tech myself, not a doctor, and I even knew there was something seriously wrong. This lady just wrote it off like it was nothing. She literally told my mother that it was just a hair Matt. Even though his chin was dripping body fluids. So she is now sitting with him in the pet ER so he can finally feel better because now the infection has spread to his paw. Whoever this new female Dr is, needs to do some more research and retake her boards--because she obviously doesn't know her own @$$ from her elbow.

We spent $200 to bring our cat in to see Dr. Howard. For that amount of money we got a rushed exam that we felt was not thorough, an incorrect e-mail address - we tried to contact the doctor directly but the e-mail address was the labs address. We never got a response from Dr. Howard we heard from the office manager only. We spent over $130 on lab work which we were contacted via e-mail the results stating our cats blood work was (good) which contradicts the actual printed results. The lab results on some of the labs were - med to high markers and on one result was high.
I will never take my cat here again and will not recommend this veterinarian to anyone. If this google review is removed we will make sure it stays up. We are angry that this service for our pet was a negative experience.

I have been taking my furbabies to Timonium Animal Hospital since it was originally located in Timonium Plaza! I have seen Dr. Gernhardt, Dr. Stevens, Dr. H, Dr Shelly and everyone there. They've always given my pets the best care, were beyond compassionate when my older boy had to be put down and all round great. I continue to take my dogs there even after I've moved almost half an hour away. I have recommended them to everyone I know and will continue to do so!

I have been with Timonium Animal Hospital even before it was "Timonium Animal Hospital"! Dr. Gernhart and the rest of the staff have supported me and my pets for many years, through the good times and bad. I put down another dog, the other day, who had reached the end. The entire staff has always been so caring to ALL of our animals we've brought to them over the years. Yesterday especially was heartfelt for us. My husband and I took our 9yr. old Siberian Husky Mya in for a check-up because she had stopped eating 3 days days ago. Well, after xrays and bloodwork we had to make the most heart wrenching decision ever and decided to end her suffering. She had diabetes, pancreatitis and her kidneys were failing. She probably only had 24-48hrs. left so we then said our goodbyes and allowed her to cross over the Rainbow Bridge.<3 Thank you again to Dr. Brand, Kate and the office manager!!!!<3

My husband and I are so grateful for the loving support and expertise of Dr. Brand and the many others who cared for Hudson last week. He received the best care from Timonium Animal Hospital and we know that he was given every possible chance and the best treatment available for his condition. Everyone at Timonium was so supportive and kind to us, even when we came in every morning at the crack of dawn with our little buddy in tow, and welcomed us around back as we sat with Hudson in his room. Dr. Brand left no stone unturned in researching his condition and kept us informed, explained test results, and gave us updates throughout the long days Hudson spent there. We have been taking our older dog Tucker to Timonium for years now, and after this would never consider taking him anywhere else. Where they really excel the most in my experience has been in dealing with animals with terminal conditions (cancer). While surgery and chemo were discussed as options, they were very candid with my about likelihoods or not of success. Dr. Stephens has really phenomenal in coming up with a variety of ways to provide compassionate care to make my pet as comfortable as possible and keep his quality of life high for the final stretch.
I worked part-time as a vet's assistant in high school and college so I have high expectations. Both vets and staff at this Hospital exceed my expectations every time.

We saw Dr. Stephens on Saturday at the suggestion of another client. My dog has very bad anxiety, and had previously been seen by a vet clinic. At the clinic's suggestion we moved him to a full service vet. Our visit was a great experience. They gave us a exam room to wait in, which made his visit much easier due to his anxiety with other dogs. Dr. Stephens was extremely knowledgeable on pet behavior treatments and was able to properly advise him on our treatment options, and also made him feel comfortable in the vet office (something uncommon for our dog). I would highly recommend.

Terrible, unethical place and I would never recommend them to anyone!My dog had a liver problem that they assured me could be treated but a needle biopsy necessary to determine the appropriate treatment with medications. I agreed. They never called me and I had to call them after the procedure. I was told to pick her up. When arriving, I saw she had drainage tubes in BOTH lungs. They told me to take her to a 24 hour care facility. They called to make the arrangements, but refused to help financially even though I did not have the money necessary to pay for it. They told me to come up with the money or take her home and watch her die! (no kidding...that's what they told me!) I borrowed money to take my dog to the 24 hour care facility but to no avail. She was weakened beyond belief after this procedure and, after consulting 3 other veteranarian facilities, it was shown this was NOT a normal result of such a procedure. We settled out of court and I was reimbursed my money, but I lost my beloved dog in the process. They still do not admitt fault and they now claim they do not even have any records so I should not post anything against them. (per another web review). They do not even remember what they did! But I do, and I have the records to PROVE it!

I am writing this to bring to light the unfortunate situation that is taking place at Timonium Animal Hospital. Many of the people that work there have nothing but the best disposition toward each other, the animals they take care of, and the people bringing their animals for care. However, the owner of this practice treats her employees like second class citizens and does not give them the humane treatment they deserve. I hope for the very best for everyone that works there, but please, do not patronize this establishment any longer. The owner does not deserve to be the recepient of all of her employees' hard work.

Incredible - Loving -Thank you! I have been going to Timonium Animal Hospital for 6 year. My 11 year old boxer was recently diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Gernhert in a very caring way presented my options to me. We chose to put my boxer down because we did not want her to suffer. The entire vet clinic was very supportive and empathetic during this extremely sad time. They allowed the process to occur on my time. At no time was I rushed in my decision, I actually waited 10 days. Once I did make the decision, I was able to stay with my pup during the process so she was not left alone. After, I was able to stay with my pup for as long as I needed say good-bye. A week later, they even sent a sympathy card to my house with my pups paw print on it. It was the nicest thing they could have done. I could really tell through the actions and words of everyone in the clinic, they understood how I felt and wanted to make this decision as easy as possible for me. I could not have had such a positive experience during such a difficult time in my life. Thank you so much to Dr. Gernhart and associates.

We have been taking our dogs to Timonium Animal Hospital for 15 years. Dr. Gernhart and her staff consistently provide top quality care in an extremely compassionate environment. We have had to visit her for a number of surgeries and for management of chronic conditions and have been extremely pleased. They are very accommodating and wait times are minimal. I can't recommend this vet practice highly enough.

My pets have been seeing Dr. Gernhart for almost 20yrs. I would not take them anywhere else. I have never met a more genuine, caring, compassionate person. She will recommend the best treatment for my pet, then Taylor it to my budget. The thing I like most is the straight forward honesty. No promises, just medical fact and her opinion on what her experience has shown. Then when the time must come to say good bye.. they handle me with dignity and compasion.

We've been with Dr. Gernhart since the beginning, and would trust no one else with our beloved pets. The entire staff is knowledgable, professional, and care for our pets as if they were their own. We always receive honest, clear explanations and advice about treatment, and because of the level of care, we were able to have two dogs with significant health issues with us much longer than we could ever have hoped. They are the best, and if they could treat humans, we'd be there!

I Love Timonium Animal Hospital. I have two chow chows,Bigsley and Roxy who are both rescue dogs and I know for a fact that Dr. Gernhart has saved my Roxy's life at least twice. Everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly to me and my family. I could not have gone to a better veterinary hospital.I have even sent other people to them and they were equally as happy there. I have been taking my pets there for at least five years and hope to continue taking any future pets I may have to them for all there vet needs. Keep up the good work Timonium Animal Hospital.

We took our cat to Timonium animal hospital because she was showing signs of being sick. Timonium Animal Hospital diagnosed our cat with a bladder infection and kidney failure. The prescribed three different medications saying that our cat could be treated very affordably and that treatment could extend her life for years. On our follow-up visit, the vet charged us for many unnecessary procedures ($80 just to take the cat's blood pressure) and gave us a ""shame on you"" attitude when we explained we were not financially able to absorb the costs of treatment. Our bill for a single month was over $1,000. Our cat died the month following despite the treatment and the vet's assurances that we could prolong her life.

I have taken my pets to Timonium Animal Hospital Hospital for several years now. The level of care that I have recieved is far beyond the level of care that I have ever experienced @ any other animal hospital. They really pay attention to the little things. I took my boxer in there 2 weeks ago because he started having seizures. Dr Gernhart and Dr Howard both helped work on his case. They have both called me since my visit to check on him (most Vets do not do that). Also, they are very understanding of any financial concerns that I had. They provided me with detailed estimates and options that fit my financial situation and were in the best interest of my pets. I would trust and value their opinion and I know that my pets are safe in their care.
