I wish I could give this place 0 stars. These people have no compassion. Especially the blonde haired receptionist that has no heart. (If you're reading this lady, you should really rethink your job, you should probably care a little about people and their pets being in that field) My uncle had to put his dog down today and these people were awful. They were so mean. They had no compassion for my uncle or his dying dog. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I'm disgusted by how they acted. Don't go here.

Highly recommended! I love this place and would recommend them to anyone looking for veterinarian care.They helped when my dog had Lyme last year. The veterinarians and all their staff Are professional and most important Courteous. They have reasonable prices and genuinely want to help and not just write you a bill! I recently called around inquiring of canine dental work due to some issues my dog was having. Other places offered no information, Except that I would have to make an appointment before they could tell me anything. I called Agawam animal hospital and was given the general pricing I was inquiring. On top of that they talked me through other possible issues and what to look for what to look for. Basically I was given a little bit of information to help me assess my dog and take The next step in her care. They make you want to make an appointment not pressured like you have no other choice.

My cat had to have surgery here and while she is not completely healed I can comment that the surgery appears to have been done cleanly. However the handling of the cat for the initial visit was as far from gentle and caring as could have been. My cat was traumatized from the minute they took her into a room to weigh her and take her temperature while I listen to her scream on the other side for 2 minutes not allowed inside. Then after she was dumped out of her cat carrier on to the vets examination table, the woman vet attempted to subdue my now traumatized scared cat by squeezing her neck as hard as she could while she screamed in Terror. I do not trust these people to handle animals that are under stress and injured with a gentle caring hand. We will be finding a new vet. Someone who understands that when an animal is under stress (coming from someone who has cats, dogs, horses, reptiles) causing the creature more pain and traumatic handling can ruin an animals entire spirit and attitude towards humans for LIFE.

I saw .Dr.Guntly and staff on Friday March 9th, 2018.They were very friendly and courteous and took good care of my 12 yr old Persian kitty.I am his second home and have only had him sinceDecember of this yr. His name is Jynxie he is sable in color and has a great loving personality. DR. Guntly spent a good amount of time discussing many thoughts as to why Jynxie appeared to be thin...however many thoughts went into as to why this could be happening including old age, diet, and other health issues. we decided to do blood work to help determine negative or positive results of some possible factors causing possible weight loss.I was very happy that my fist visit did not empty my wallet. This visit was less than $70.00 Most Animal clinics will charge you well over $100.00 for a first time exam. I would highly recommend the AGAWAM ANIMAL HOSPITAL FRIENDLY AND CURTIOUS Thank you Dr. Guntly

Discounted medication compared to other places. Also, they had some other discounts on shot appointments if prepaid. Would definitely recommend them.

we were not regular patients here but took our 5 year old kitty here when he got sick . When it was time to say "goodbye " a few months later .They were understanding and compassionate while I was upset and emotional . Dr. Gently and his vet tech. were gentle and caring towards our pet as if he was their own. They were not rushed although the waiting room was busy and made it as peaceful as possible and I will be forever grateful . Thank you .

The receptionist (as I read in other reviews elsewhere) couldn't have been unhappier in her job. Heavy sighs, tongue clicking, more sighs, NO conversation, pleasant or otherwise, even if you're the only one there.I don't like it when an animal is taken from you "out back" for routine care. For someone who's done a lot of animal care myself for my pets (diabetes injections and testing, enemas, catheterizations, injections and held pets secure for blood tests) I find it insulting at best, and irritating at worst. Is it quicker for the techs? Maybe. Will I go back?Not if I can help it.

My cat had to have surgery here and while she is not completely healed I can comment that the surgery appears to have been done cleanly. we were not regular patients here but took our 5 year old kitty here when he got sick . When it was time to say "goodbye " a few months later .They were understanding and compassionate while I was upset and emotional . Dr. Gently and his vet tech. were gentle and caring towards our pet as if he was their own.
