I am new to the area and a first-time kitten mom. My cat was not feeling well this week and I wasn't sure what was wrong, never having owned a cat before. We found them from a simple Google search. I called to schedule an appointment this morning and had my kitty in their hands that afternoon. They seemed genuinely concerned and compassionate, which is exactly what I needed today, being nervous and unsure of what to do or who to talk to on the phone. I've been told a few times by this clinic that my cat foxy, has swollen gums and to just treat it with orajel...i felt it was more than that and was told I am over worrying. I stupidly believed them. today I brought her to the ER with onset new symptoms and XRAYS showed a large mass that has completely destroyed her jaw and is spreading in her lower left jaw. (Where they operated on her back in December) Good vets make mistakes. I understand that. But I'm disturbed I addressed this twice with this clinic and was confidently told it's just some swelling. This could have been addressed so much sooner and it might have worked out. She could have gotten treatment and not had her jaw destroyed. I was advised that treating this would be a long and semi cruel process to put her through, so we are opting for at home euthanasia. Please for future animals dont think swelling 4+months after dental surgery is normal or simply hereditary. It cost my cats life. I knew something was wrong and this is the absolute worst thing to be proven right about. Read Less

A horrible place to bring your pet! When our lovely dog had an ear infection  and we wanted to clear it up they chastised us and were very mean. Then, they told us it was a permanent issue and our boy would always have ear issues and prescribed us expensive cleaners and told us we needed to come for visits weekly. We were skeptical so went to another vet and they were amazing and cleared the infection completely with two treatments and were supportive and also educated us about seasonal allergies that animals can get. This place literally brought tears to my eyes!! So compassionate and caring. Compared to the vet I had used for years! From the minute a walked in to the actual appointment, the staff was caring and kind. Bobbi- joe and Dr Jeff took the time to explain in detail the choices I had for my aging dog! They understood how important it was to give my (baby) dog the best care he deserved. I am so great-full I took the advice of my sister Sandy and switched to this veterinary service. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for understanding that my dog is not just a pet for me but so much more. I would recommend this vet to anyone who wants the best care for their pet. Go here first, go here last, you won't think of going anywhere else. No exaggeration. Skilled, knowledgeable, KIND staff in a super clean office. I'd found a breast lump on my 15yr old fluffy, skittish (around strangers) kitty. Contacted them the next morning, went in that afternoon. Examination, blood work, x-rays, rabies vaccine... They were so gentle with her! Dr. Trenholm performed a triple mastectomy on June 3rd, surgical drain out by Dr. Carpenter June 8th, and stitches out June 14th. Each time, Zoey was more calm and relaxed than I was, and she hates traveling. She sat next to me and purred while I heard long-term prognosis, which was less than stellar, but everything the AAMC team did was perfect. Check-up calls were helpful and reassuring. My little cat is her same old lovable, cuddly self, minus large tumor(s). The whole ordeal was affordable, considering, and worth every penny. They care as much about her quality of life as I do, and the advice and recommendations are honest. That's huge. They don't advise anything that'd be a waste of money, or not in your pet's best interest. Also, they have a Keurig machine. :)Read Less

We take our 3 cats and our dog here. Dr. Carpenter, Dr. Trenholm, and all the staff are wonderful. Our animals have never been so calm and laid back in a vet's office before, and they are much more affordable than any other vet we have even been to. My family has 3 dogs, and it's a hassle to bring them in all at once for routine exams.  AAMC has the convenience to come to your house. This was awesome because we did not have to struggle to get all the dogs in the car and down to the office.  Throughout the whole process, AAMC had been professional and extremely helpful.  I couldn't have asked for a better experience!  The team that came to the house was right on time. They even called when they were on the way. The women were all super sweet with the dogs, and were able to adjust easily to each of their personalities.  I highly recommend AAMC to anyone. Read Less

I am impressed with how thorough AAMC is.  However, I requested a quote as my budget is quite tight.  I was told the total would be $271.00.  When all was said and done the total ended up being $394.00. When quoting ALL REQUIRED TESTING for an annual should be included. Read Less

I started going here a few years ago, and even though I now live about 45 min away, I still make the trip. They've always been extremely professional, knowledgeable, and personal - even remembering anecdotal facts months later. There's nothing harder than losing a pet. My most recent experience here was for this reason. I can truly say that I feel like they did everything they could, without wasting my money or giving me false hope. From walking me through every step compassionately and patiently, to helping me make special arrangements to get samples back for testing so I didn't have to drive in circles, to giving me ice for my swollen eyes after it was all over. There's no way to say that losing a beloved animal is a good experience, but they did everything in their power to make it as gentle and peaceful as possible. Read Less

These people are wonderful. They are truly compassionate and absolutely love animals. They took care of my dog for 13 years, and in the end they were as kind and tender to him as anyone could have been. They loved that little fella too.
