Incredibly disappointed. I brought my kitten to be fixed the other day and she came out hissing and meowing, which isn't very normal for her. The vet had said "she wasn't very happy" and was kept in the same room as a dog.First of all, my cat weighs 7.5 pounds...she is very petite. Second of all, she is scared of other animals. A lot of cats are. Why was she kept in the same room as a giant Labrador? Not sure on my end, but I know my cat was very obviously uncomfortable. Upon receiving her, she was in her crate with the cone attached on top. Not sure what it was doing up there, but she was able to lick her incision the whole way home. Didn't make a lot of sense to me. They warned me as they handed her over that she might attack me. She has never done such a thing before, so I was a little confused. Nevertheless, I understood that coming out of anesthesia she could be aggressive, so I kept my distance. However, my cat, unsurprisingly, didn't attack me at all. In fact, she ran and hid for hours and hours, shaking and terrified of anyone going near her. She received no pain medication, and I didn't receive any direction on how to take care of a cat in a ton of pain. It seemed like they wanted to get her out of there as fast as possible, which upon investigation, isn't always the best for cats in recovery. Go figure. Finally, she received a "complimentary" nail clipping while under anesthesia that left her nails incredibly uneven and splintered. She won't let anyone near her paws and meows in pain when you touch her. I do not recommend Homeward Bound to any cat owner. Save your money on a better vet. Read Less
