Do NOT bring your pet to this backwater dump. I purchased a discount neutering certificate through Friends of Animals. This place was one of the few clinics around to accept this discount certificate. I wish I never brought my dog to this place. It was not worth the money I saved. The first time I went in it was messy, there were piles of manila folders, paperwork, faxes, etc., all over the counter. There was no AC (this was in July). There was only one person there, a believe a receptionist. She asked me for copies of my dog's vet records. I told her the records had already been faxed over to their clinic. She started rummaging through all the papers on the counter and said 'they have to be here somewhere." This gave me a very uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach. I almost took off right then and there but decided to give them a chance. Then I was told the Certificate did not cover pain medication, anesthesia, blood work or IV fluids during surgery! The bill came to almost $200.00! Two weeks later I had to go back there to have the stitches removed. I didn't want to go back but figured all they have to do is take out the stitches, how bad could it be? When I got there there was no air conditioning on (August). The place was cramped and messy and the floor is filthy. My dog and I were taken into a tiny dirty exam room. Two women were in there and neither of them introduced themselves to me or told me their job/title. They proceeded to put my six month old puppy in a headlock on the dirty floor to try and cut the stitches out with scissors. He was wriggling around and they were having difficulty getting the stitches out. They finally put him on an exam table but his back legs kept slipping off because the table was was slippery and very small. They again got him in a head lock trying to get the stitches out. Then a woman opened the door and took one of the techs out of the room. No introduction, no 'excuse me', nothing, she just opened the door and said she needed one of the techs. So now it's just me, my dog and one tech standing there in a tiny, stuffy, hot, dirty, exam room waiting for the other tech to come back. A few minutes later the tech came back with the other woman. The other woman (I had no idea who she was, her name, her role, etc) starting cutting away at my dog's stitches. She said (in a very rude, exasperated tone of voice), "I don't know WHY you two couldn't do this...it's not that hard". REALLY?? You are insulting your employees in front of a customer? I said to her, "are you a vet? " She said yes. I said no one had introduced themselves, nor had anyone told me their title/role. She still didn't tell me her name but I found out later her name was Dr. Olga. She proceeded to cut away at the stitches and my dog suddenly yelped really loudly. I said, "Is he ok"? The vet got snippy with me and said (in a very rude tone of voice), "Of course he's ok, this is normal, what do you expect him to do when he gets stitches taken out?" She was so rude and very, very unprofessional. I couldn't wait to get out of there. As I was checking out, the man behind the counter took so long checking out the woman in front of me that I had to leave. I called later that morning to see if the prescription of antibiotics could be faxed to my regular vet's office. The woman said she would fax it right over. They never faxed it over so I called back an hour later. She again said she would fax the prescription right over. My vet's office still didn't receive it so I called back again an hour later. The answering service answered and told me the office was closed. Perfect. Please don't bring your pet here. Read Less
