Metro Cat Hospital is a full service feline veterinary hospital, exclusively for cats which has served the communities of Brookline, Brighton, Allston, Kenmore and Jamaica Plain for over 20 years. Our Specialty Veterinary Hospital provides top quality medical services, cat boarding, wellness exams, preventative care including vaccines, diagnostic services, spays, neuters, dental procedures, and advanced specialty services.
We place a strong emphasis on wellness care, diagnostics and health management. Our client support staff, veterinary technicians and kennel team are friendly, welcoming and experienced in the handling and medical care of cats. Want to manage your pet's health online? Our clients can take advantage of the convenient service of scheduling appointments, requesting prescription refills, updating their pets profiles, updating thier own information, viewing their pets vaccine history, and much more through our amazing pet portal!
Dr. Jeffrey Kaplan, our Medical Director, is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. He offers morning and afternoon appointments Monday through Friday. He also performs dentistries, surgeries and sees cats in drop-off appointments on weekdays. We also offer appointments on Saturdays
Ultrasounds, specialty procedures, and a 24 hour answering service are available for our clients.

Dr. Kaplan is very good with me...and our tabby. I'm a quintessential crazy cat lady and he is incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring with me. He's also very knowledgeable and the first vet our litt...
Dr. Kaplan is very good with me...and our tabby. I'm a quintessential crazy cat lady and he is incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring with me. He's also very knowledgeable and the first vet our little monster/fury family member hasn't tried to bite and he's been there multiple time. It's pricey, but feline health care isn't something I want to take chances on or be cheap about. Knowing our cat is getting the best treatment is worth every penny.

My cat was feeling a little under the weather, so I called to make an appointment. The receptionist offered an appointment either about an hour and a half later or right now. I opted for the immediate appointment, and we were seen as soon as we walked in. Dr. Kaplan came in within two minutes of our arrival. He explained everything he was doing along the way, and he was very helpful with showing me how to give her the two medications she'd have to take. He answered all of my questions. Overall the experience was excellent, I would say. I will definitely be choosing them as my regular vet.

This cat hospital is fantastic. My cat had an emergency and Dr. Kaplan took her early that morning (before official opening hours) and took excellent care of her. I recommend them to all my friends with the caveat that they are expensive. Both of the vets, Dr. Kaplan and the lady vet Dr. Ficellio, are amazing.

Dr. Kaplan is very good with me...and our tabby. I'm a quintessential crazy cat lady and he is incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring with me. This cat hospital is fantastic. My cat had an emergency and Dr. Kaplan took her early that morning (before official opening hours) and took excellent care of her. I recommend them to all my friends with the caveat that they are expensive. Both of the vets, Dr. Kaplan and the lady vet Dr. Ficellio, are amazing.
