I just started bringing my elderly dog here after a series of ear infections. He also has cancer, but it doesn't seem to bother him, he's not in pain and still does his silly dog things. The vet was very good with him...knew exactly how to treat the ear. He used a one time antibiotic that lasts 30 days. By the end of the day he was already feeling better. He also gave us a holistic wound spray to help with a sore on his ear that he keeps opening up. I appreciate the use of holistic medicine that is affordable. The wound was healed within a few days. Dr. Bolger and his staff have always treated us and our fur-kids with respect, care and compassion. We've been clients for 10 years, and have brought 4 dogs and our cat to Clinton Veterinary Hospital and have appreciated the thoughtful expertise demonstrated by Dr. Bolger. We have been treated for eye problems, stomach issues, skin problems, orthopedic problems, senior dog issues and puppies. Dr. Bolger and his staff have always demonstrated compassion and the utmost concern during our visits. He always takes the time to explain things and his medical care rationale, which I appreciate, combine that with the friendly staff and its a recipe that will keep me and my pets coming back. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I just took my two cats for an exam and rabies shots. I recently moved from Framingham. I was taking Bruce and Buttons to Natick Animal Clinic for the past few years and loved every experience. Since this clinic is five minutes from my home, I decided to check it out. Everything was ok until we got into the room; It smelled and the trash was overflowing with what looked like fecal matter on hospital napkins. After a few minutes, we had the displeasure of meeting Dr. James V. Bolger. I introduced him to myself, my fiance and our cats and he just went to the exam table with his cold face and attitude to begin his torture. He was so rough and unfriendly with Buttons. I take them to their appointments regularly, and Buttons has NEVER been so upset. He began to whine and hiss. I told the Doctor to cool it and he called in a tech with a towel to finish the examination. He refused to clip their nails which was fine with me. After finishing, he wouldn't even let me near Buttons and was SO rude to me about it. I feel so bad for putting my cats through this hell. If you love your pets and want them to receive tender and genuine care and treatment, take them elsewhere. Read Less

If you need a vet come here. The staff are amazing and know there stuff but they are also super compassionate and gentle with your pets. Dr Bulgar try's very hard to keep them going as they age and comes up with all sorts of treatments and supplements. I wouldn't go anywhere else for pet care. Many thanks for the care you show for my ageing cat and the kindness you showed yesterday when poor Timmy lost the fight and was put to sleep so gently. Love you all, there are cakes on the way! We've had 2 other vets before Dr. Bolger and Clinton Veterinary Hospital and now we are beyond content and delighted with this clinic and would never go anywhere else with our feline furbabies. The staff are wonderful and truly love the animals they treat and care for. Dr. Bolger is highly knowledgeable but does not hesitate when he feels something is beyond his ability to diagnose or treat. He and his staff also show their human clients true professionalism and empathy, grieving with us for grave diagnoses and losses. I would tell everyone to use Clinton Veterinary Hospital, and I think my cats would tell other animals that if they have to go to the doctor then this is the best place to be because the doctors are very nice and kind and so are the technicians and desk staff. Everything was ok until we got into the room; It smelled and the trash was overflowing with what looked like fecal matter on hospital napkins. The staff and Dr Bolger were amazing. If it weren't for them. I wouldn't have been able to have a 8 lb tumor removed from my dogs lower abdomen. I will be forever greatful for all they have done for all my animals and the way they treat them as one of their own. When I lost my cat. They sent a card. That made me cry of course lol. But thank you all so much. Amazing people and staff and I recommend them all the time. Read Less

We had a good experience with a feline beagle spay. Dr. Bolger came recommended. Staff seemed friendly and helpful and provided good communication throughout the process. would recommend to others.

We've taken our cats here for seven years and we've always been impressed by the care and efficiency with which the staff has treated them. We've always found Dr. Bolger and his staff to be highly professional and eager to accommodate our needs and our schedule. They are clearly in love with animals, and they know how to care for them. Dr. Bolger and his staff are the most professional and caring people I have ever met. I brought my Bulldog "Molly" there when she was a puppy and have not brought her anywhere else in 5 years. Molly has many health issues and the Clinton Veterinary Hospital has always treated her like she was their only patient. I highly recomend the Clinton Veterinary Hospital! Read Less
