I just wanted to say thank you to the doctors and staff at Anchor for taking such good care of us this past  Sunday. We are not regular clients but when our beloved dog was taken I'll on a Sunday we called and they answered. Took very good care of us and sent us on to an emerging animal hospital armed with X-rays and labs. They are kind and compassionate. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Read Less

We love Anchor Animal Hospital. Upon moving here from Marlborough Mass three years ago, I brought my baby girl Trinity Lee to pet partners before someone recommended Anchor to us. I was very displeased with how pet partners treated and handled my little girl. Including putting a muzzle on her! Because of this experience she isn't keen on the vets, but we absolutely love everyone here at Anchor. They treat our baby girl wonderful, staff members will come and pet her along with talk to her for all she does is bark lol. She's an attention seeker lol. This place is great! They took great care of my rabbit. The staff where really kind and seemed very passionate about animals. The doctor was patient and stayed for a bit while I asked questions. I was impressed when a desk attendant offered to give another client a water bowl for his dog who was waiting in the car because it was such a hot day. They handled my rabbit well and where able to stop him from moving so they could examine him even though he was very jumpy and upset. They are also inexpensively priced on the most part. Getting a rabbit fixed is very expensive but they took great care of my rabbit during his surgery so it was worth it. Read Less

I've been bringing my pets to Anchor since I was a child with my parents I have always relied on them to care for my pets. Unfortunately since ownership has changed and Dr. Shinnoman and the 1st Dr. Peach retired the vet has gone in the wronge direction. Amongst many small issues that I've let slide the, the last straw for me was when my 15 year old cat had to be put to sleep. I was in a patient room crying and my husband was crying and had to go outside for some air, I stayed in the room with my cat and a staff member actually chased him outside asking for payment. I was still there in room nothing had been done with my cat yet, but they found it ok to chase a grown man who was crying outside for money. I've never been so insulted in my life. If they would have taken the time to look into our records they would have seen the thousands of dollars we have spent there and how long we have been customers. I will now have that memory forever on the day my cat died as if if the day wasn't bad enough. I am looking for a new vet for my dog. Sad really sad I've been a lifetime customer and now I must go elsewhere...... Read Less

Such an amazing and compassionate staff. We had to put our cat to sleep and the staff helped us tremendously through this heartbreaking process. We love Anchor Animal Hospital! After moving here from the Cape, I brought my lab to 4 or 5 different local vets before someone recommended Anchor Animal Hospital, and we found our perfect match. They have great hours (7 days a week!) and the staff there is caring and knowledgeable. My dog is almost 12 now and he recently had surgery to have a lipoma removed. I was so nervous for him to be put under anesthesia, but Dr. Levitt eased all my fears and explained everything in detail every step of the way, from pre-op testing to post op care. The staff called me multiple times in the 2 weeks following surgery to check up on my dog, and Dr. Levitt even called twice. I recommend them to all my friends for their veterinary needs. Read Less

We have brought two kittens into this vet in recent months. First visit the kitten was diagnosed visually by a female vet, and prescribed medicine, no actual tests done. Was already iffy about this place after that but went back. So fast forward to this week, we brought a second kitten in. (rescued a litter of stray kittens from our yard that have certainly have had health challenges) This time the vet was excellent! On our follow up visit he actually explained how he went home and researched a couple things regarding the issues we were facing. Was amazed someone was so dedicated to their job and cared as much as us about this kittens life. The name plaque said Dale Levitt and if i was only rating him here, he'd get a 5. Thank you Dale! However nothing else about this place matches Dales effort. We've spent more than $1000 at this place, and we cant even get someone to call us back. We were told the follow up visit we did on wednesday would cost 25$. When checking out on wednesday we were charged 58$ and were promised someone would call us back about that. No one called. This morning we informed Anchor Animal Hospital that the kitten we had brought in this week was peeing and throwing up BLOOD suddenly, were promised a call back. Received no call back. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. Go to mass/ri vet in swansea. The people at MASS/RI still care about you and your pets even AFTER you pay them and walk out the door. I used to go there, but moved closer to dartmouth. I will definitely be making the drive to swansea when I need emergency pet care in the future. Not a fan of this vet. I waited an hour just for someone to take my dog in the back for 5 minutes. I couldn't even go back with him. Also called this morning because he's been throwing up his meds and still no return call. And every time I call I'm put on hold and have to hang up and call back. Changing vets for sure. I changed the review to a 3 because someone called me and apologized for the inconvenience of very high volume with low staff. I can understand this and therefore will give it an ok. Read Less

Outrageous "lab" prices and checkup fees. I brought my pup in for a checkup and left with a $300 dollar bill. For what reason I couldn't even tell you. I waited a full hour past my appointment time to be seen and the vet couldn't be more in a rush to get me out of there. Upon inquiring about his hips and the progression of arthritis the vet told me that X-rays would have to be done to further investigate the issue which would slap on additional hundreds. I used to come here because I thought it was the absolute best care for my pet. My pet deserves better than that, so think twice about bringing your pet here. They were fabulous with my fur baby who is a diabetic yorki... they are my go to place now... I called and they got me in same day as a new patient they fixed my lil one up the vet was one of the nicest I've met so far and actually took the time to listen.... Amazing amazing Amazing staff friendly caring and true animal lovers. My last vet was not even close to this and i was afraid to switch but glad I did. They took very good care of me and my pup. They were not money hungry at all . they would listen to me over the phone and not tell me just to bring her in and in some cases were able to got me the correct medicine to help my situation with out an appointment. It is hard to find a competent vet to care for your parrot. I highly recommend Anchor. They are very helpful. One needs to pay once a year for a consultation and after that nail clipping is very reasonable. Service is excellent and my parrot agrees!Mrs. Rockwell Read Less

Staff are professional, patient, and compassionate. Our Boxer had a lump surgically removed. Been there in the past, service was the same. Dr. Caso, Shayna, and Jackie are awesome!! Although I did not actually take my rabbit to this animal hospital, I can tell you that the staff is wonderful. Shayna helped me through a very difficult time with my rabbit -- even making calls to help me find a specialist despite that my rabbit is not a current patient at Anchor. She took the time to listen to my concerns and I could tell that she really cares about animals. I hit a lot of walls with other hospitals so it was refreshing to find someone with compassion and willingness to help. Read Less
