Wow. Just, wow. Animal Eye Care of New England is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the middle of some beautiful Massachusetts woods. The facility itself feels like you are walking into a spa. From the whitewashed wood floors, to the cheery, colorful decor, to the cozy furniture, you know this is a place that specializes in greatness. I mean, they have a snack bar complete with coffee machine, and individual bags of chips and other goodies for you to enjoy while you wait. Luxurious may be a bit over the top, but it's pretty darn close. After a short wait, Dr. Jurk's (pronounced Yerk) assistant brought us in to what felt more like a guest room than a clinical office. And it may sound superficial to comment on the interior of the room, but you know what? Comfort is pretty important when you are seeing a specialist. You are already on edge because something is terribly awry with your favorite animal on the planet, so, it matters. Dr. Jurk and her assistant were both absolutely lovely and made both me and my pug feel very secure. My love pug had all kinds of drops put in her eye, and then Dr. Jurk did an ultrasound of the eye, all the while cooing and consoling my fat baby. She then let me take a photo of the ultrasound, and explained everything in great detail to me. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Jurk and her staff. They are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. I live over an hour away and she is 100% worth the drive. I will forewarn you that my initial visit was $135 just to get in the door, so it is expensive. However, that is to be expected when you see any specialist, so I do not feel it was an unfair price, and would honestly gladly pay twice that amount after the wonderful experience I had during my visit. She is the best of the best, for sure. Read Less
