Im sorry to hear the negative reviews, I think I've been lucky , and always let them know I'm a tech myself....Having said that, I take my "fur kids," only when absolutely necessary, as the costs especially for a few nights can run into the thousands . My first experience was with my late Dominick, who was blind ,11 and managed to smell his way into my handbag full off chocolate espresso beans.... I noticed something was very wrong from his frantic behavior. He had consumed the equivalent of 15 cups of espresso and was pacing, delirious, beside himself with panic and with the very rapid and recent loss of vision from SARDS or Cushing's he was banging into walls and inconsolable... They did everything right, but called me at 4 in the am to let me know he had just had a heart attack and wanted to know whether I wanted his chest opened up, defribulation or to keep him comfortable. The restarted his heart and he made it. They inserted charcoal to absorb the toxins, kept him comfy and as he was there for three days, I could come visit and sit with him. 2K.2, Annie the Bunny had been scared to...by a visiting client Husky who managed to find her room, she wasn't attacked, but was immobile, still breathing, but not moving. Off we run, I loved that bun, and felt guilt that didn't consider the cost, and Im on limited income...They didn't laugh, took her right in, did what they could for 1/2 - 45 min ands brought her out in a Rabbit Coffin... They did not accept a penny.3. My 12 year old Golden Lilly has chronic otitis , and is terribly uncomfortable and all vets I've seen haven't solved it. I was referred to an ear specialist who comes in 1 a week, who convinced me it was allergy related. I was very suspicious but this guy made the world of sense. and ties granulomas on her forelimbs to the process. 8 medications and a load of paperwork, produced immediate progress. The ears had different issues so each ear had two different topical, an allergy med that just came out that is a lifesaver, and two different antibiotics, all this twice a day. $500. The meds had to be at least half of their price at 4 a day for 4 weeks. We are following up this Friday and if anyone reading has a dog suffers from ear infections, yeast, chews and itches constantly do your dog a favor and get an appointment with Klaus Loft, DMV.
