I have been going to Emmerson Animal Hospital for more then 10 years with my cat Miller lite and now my dog Buddy. Dr. Glazier has taken care of both over the years and I have to say she and her staff work hand in hand to make sure that your pet gets the best care. They are caring, compassionate and loving to the many cats and dogs they care for. 7 years ago I moved from Dorchester but I still believe that my pets will always get the best care and so I continue to bring my pets to Emmerson even though I have to travel a little ways to get there. I would recommend Dr. Glazier and her staff at Emmerson Animal Hospital to anyone. If you love your pet call Emmerson Animal Hospital for exceptional care.

The staff at Emmerson have always gone above and beyond for the caring of my multiple pets. My kitten had a severe tumble out of my window on Friday morning and Emmerson was basically on call for the next 72 hours for me and my husband as we did everything we could to easy my baby's pain. Friday we brought him in and were told upfront the costs of the radiology costs/pain medications. Things unfortunately progressed for the worst for my little boy and on Sunday we were back in the clinic having emergency xrays. Both my husband and I were very upset for our poor cat, but the vet tech showed up early to take us in which we are very thankful for. Dr. Glazier explained exactly what was going on internally, and we were able to view the imagines and ask questions before we made our final decision. Ultimately my baby did not make it, but the staff at Emmerson provided the best of care for him. We were able to be alone with our little man in his last moments, and then the tech allowed us as much time as we wanted before we left the room entirely. While gathering our thoughts in the waiting room, the tech asked if we wanted a memorial pawprint which was so kind. It was very overwhelming to not be going home with our boy, but to have a small gesture available to us in such a vulnerable moment, it was so touching. I strongly believe this clinic has the best interests for our pets and am very grateful to have had them guide me through a very difficult time.

I have been going here for four years with my bulldog. Due to his allergies he has seen all of the doctors on staff at emmerson. I can't say enough about how knowledgeable and kind the doctors and vet techs are. They have also used creative solutions to help save cost's on my end due to my dogs frequent visits due to allergies.

I cannot say enough about this amazing hospital. Dr. Bodkin and staff are phenomenal. They are caring, unbelievably knowledgable, and super inexpensive compared to alternatives. Every time I've gone in with what I thought was going to be terrible and expensive (between my partner and myself we have three dogs, four cats, and a guinea pig), Dr. Bodkin solves the problem with minimal intrusion and low cost. She can take out teeth, treat arthritis, tell you all about heartworm, and drain ear hematomas with a smile and a deft hand. If you live in the Dorchester area, you needn't go anywhere else. I'm SO SO happy to live close by. Thank you to their fabulous staff.

Terrible.Yesterday, my sister's dog had an accident in the house. My dad reacted by taking the dog under false pretenses to Emmerson to be euthanized. If Dr. Tricia Glazier had scanned the dog, Bruno, they would have seen that my father was not the registered owner of the dog. So, they needlessly murdered our family pet who was healthy and loved without doing the least bit of due diligence. Shame on you Emmerson. I have filed a complaint against Emmerson and Dr. Glazier in particular. Good luck explaining why you wouldn't even scan the dog before killing them. I guess any a**hole can bring a dog in and have them murdered without a single shred of proof that the dog is sick or that they even own the animal.Avoid.

Have been here before. This time, my sister had to reschedule her appointment because of a family emergency the same day that her puppy wasn't feeling well. When she called to reschedule a second time, without asking why or having the least bit of customer service, the girl on the phone snapped at her and yelled, "okay you've already rescheduled SEVERAL times today. You have to make a deposit or we won't schedule you." Lol needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere. There's only a million other vet offices with better reviews in the area work on your customer service please. Train your staff to be polite and understanding. The last thing they need is an attitude when they're worried sick about their fur babies.

Such a disturbing experience. Brought my cat in to get checked out because he was not feeling well, Vet wanted to "put him down", when I told them I needed time to make a decision (this was totally unexpected), they told me I needed to make a decision that moment. When I decided to take my cat elsewhere for a second opinion the staff became mean and threatened to call animal control on me. I left with my cat, against their wishes, and sought treatment elsewhere. To my utter disbelief, that same night I was visited by animal control. The vet called a complaint for animal cruelty against me. I was in total shock. Animal control assessed my cat and his living situation and determined he was safe and in no distress. They were confused as to why a complaint was called in in the first place, as my cat is a healthy (old) cat. I have never experienced anything so horrible, I am an animal lover and to know that they would attempt to paint me as anything other is hurtful and flat out mean.

Dropped my boxer off for boarding ONLY. When my husband went to pick him up, he was presented with a $279 bill. Without my consent they gave him all of his vaccinations that weren't due for another month. Not so much as a phone call from a technician asking if I had any concerns. His usual vet is in South Boston...I will never board my dog here again.

This place is amazing! I have always found them to be wonderful care takers of my animals, fair in price and just nice people BUT today took the cake when my baby who had a particularly colicy night was finally asleep in the car. I called and told them that I really didn't want to wake up my son to bring the dog in after he had just gone go sleep. They were willing to come out and get the dog for her check up and later the vet came out to talk to me about it. I couldn't believe it!

We highly recommend Emmerson Animal Hospital. We have been coming here for about a year for our dog and cat's veterinary care and always have a good experience. Our pets mainly see Dr. Allen Putzig, who is fantastic both with animals and people. He makes sure to spend time bonding with our animals to make sure that they aren't anxious and have a negative association with the vet. His exams are thorough and always provides excellent care. He explains everything with great detail, answers all of our questions and never seems to be in a hurry to get out of the exam room. He is really quite personable and thorough. We had routine care, spay/neuter surgery, and illnesses treated here.The staff at Emmerson are always friendly and the office is clean and always runs on time. We also participated in the Puppy Training Program with Janice and highly recommend it. She is a great trainer and the classes are a great deal!

I have been going to Emmerson Animal Hospital for about 6 years. I was given my love Oliver from my ex boss. He was a little monster and turned into a loving pet. I took him to Emmerson to get him all checked out and brought up to date with shots. Did it every year. Recently I found a lump on his backside. Dr Glazier recommended we clean his teeth and take out the lump. During the operation it appear the lump was more invasive. She did a great job. Her judgement was comforting. While it was tested positive for cancer. Low level. I felt My dog was in the best hands ever. My dog is about 12 years old. I know his time is on the short end. Its never easy to hear the results. But I can only say Dr Glazier and her staff are the best. I highly recommend them for your pets care. They are so caring and their pet care costs are reasonable. Oliver thanks them too.

We've been bringing our cats here for 5-6 years, and have always been amazed at how great these guys are. Dr. Glazier is great at breaking things down for the lay-person to understand. I love that that they are always understanding and helpful about getting our cats the treatment they need while not breaking the bank. I will be very sad if/when we move and are no longer able to take our pets here!

I have been going to Emmerson Animal Hospital for more then 10 years with my cat Miller lite and now my dog Buddy. Dr. Glazier has taken care of both over the years and I have to say she and her staff work hand in hand to make sure that your pet gets the best care. They are caring, compassionate and loving to the many cats and dogs they care for. 7 years ago I moved from Dorchester but I still believe that my pets will always get the best care and so I continue to bring my pets to Emmerson even though I have to travel a little ways to get there. I would recommend Dr. Glazier and her staff at Emmerson Animal Hospital to anyone. If you love your pet call Emmerson Animal Hospital for exceptional care.

The staff at Emmerson have always gone above and beyond for the caring of my multiple pets. My kitten had a severe tumble out of my window on Friday morning and Emmerson was basically on call for the next 72 hours for me and my husband as we did everything we could to easy my baby's pain. Friday we brought him in and were told upfront the costs of the radiology costs/pain medications. Things unfortunately progressed for the worst for my little boy and on Sunday we were back in the clinic having emergency xrays. I can't say enough about how knowledgeable and kind the doctors and vet techs are. I cannot say enough about this amazing hospital. Dr. Bodkin and staff are phenomenal. They are caring, unbelievably knowledgable, and super inexpensive compared to alternatives. Every time I've gone in with what I thought was going to be terrible and expensive (between my partner and myself we have three dogs, four cats, and a guinea pig), Dr. Bodkin solves the problem with minimal intrusion and low cost. Terrible.Yesterday, my sister's dog had an accident in the house. My dad reacted by taking the dog under false pretenses to Emmerson to be euthanized. If Dr. Tricia Glazier had scanned the dog, Bruno, they would have seen that my father was not the registered owner of the dog. Have been here before. This time, my sister had to reschedule her appointment because of a family emergency the same day that her puppy wasn't feeling well. Such a disturbing experience. Brought my cat in to get checked out because he was not feeling well, Vet wanted to "put him down", when I told them I needed time to make a decision (this was totally unexpected), they told me I needed to make a decision that moment. Without my consent they gave him all of his vaccinations that weren't due for another month. Not so much as a phone call from a technician asking if I had any concerns. His usual vet is in South Boston...I will never board my dog here again.

This place is amazing! I have always found them to be wonderful care takers of my animals, fair in price and just nice people BUT today took the cake when my baby who had a particularly colicy night was finally asleep in the car. I called and told them that I really didn't want to wake up my son to bring the dog in after he had just gone go sleep. They were willing to come out and get the dog for her check up and later the vet came out to talk to me about it. I couldn't believe it!

We highly recommend Emmerson Animal Hospital. We have been coming here for about a year for our dog and cat's veterinary care and always have a good experience. Our pets mainly see Dr. Allen Putzig, who is fantastic both with animals and people. He makes sure to spend time bonding with our animals to make sure that they aren't anxious and have a negative association with the vet. His exams are thorough and always provides excellent care. He explains everything with great detail, answers all of our questions and never seems to be in a hurry to get out of the exam room. He is really quite personable and thorough. We've been bringing our cats here for 5-6 years, and have always been amazed at how great these guys are. Dr. Glazier is great at breaking things down for the lay-person to understand. I love that that they are always understanding and helpful about getting our cats the treatment they need while not breaking the bank. I will be very sad if/when we move and are no longer able to take our pets here!

I really liked this hospital, the one problem I had was certain things were too expensive for example clipping my dog's nails. They were very friendly and helpful; I am however shopping around to see if the procedures my dog needs can be done for cheaper.
