I have taken all of my dogs to Doc Martin (EL Animal Hospital) since 1988 and wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone there is wonderful, in fact some of the people who are there have been there since I started going - that tells you something about the kind of office it is. I love that there is the continuity of the office staff and vet techs as well as Doc martin, it is like a family. Doc Martin loves my dogs like they are his own. I appreciate and respect all the value in his years of experience and knowledge. Sometimes common sense and a good exam outweigh all the new technology! My 14 year old golden was recently sent to Tufts in an emergency when he was off; Tufts had her for 3 days and found a blood clot, and suspected cancer, but missed basic things you would see on a physical exam, like a raging yeast infection! I believe Tufts essentially wrote her off. I brought her back to Doc Martin and he is treating the yeast infection, and ancillary things they ignored, and he had a local specialist see her (he isn't afraid to get a consult when needed) and the specialist diagnosed things that had been missed at Tufts. I realize he can't cure her, but he is treating her to make her quality of life as good as it can be for as long as she is here. I call that a great vet! I was visiting my sister from Philadelphia and our 15 year old husky, Bella. She needed some fluids before we went back home. The staff was amazing, they took care of her like she was their own. They are the best! Read Less

Where can I start ? The staff is super friendly and professional and willing to work things to accommodate the pet and the owner. From the moment I moved to the area my dog was ill and needed narcotics being new to the area they never hesitated to give me the prescriptions for my dog.....and when I needed a refill there was never a charge or hesitation. Well,after narcotics my 18 year old dog passed I was away on a trip when it happened.....ELAH waited for my arrival to decide what was going to be done with my beloved dog. I couldn't be more grateful for the kindness, compassion and understanding that ELAH & Staff offered at such a difficult time. Highly recommended!  We have received excellent treatment here for both our old dog and our new puppy.  Straight shooters who are not out to take your money like so many vets today, especially when dealing with a very ill pet.  Very conscientious, friendly staff. Read Less
