Super disappointed in Easthampton Animal Hospital after a horrible experience with them today. Hardly ever in my life have I left a negative review online but this one had to be shared.
I wanted to give Easthampton Animal Hospital one more try after being disappointed by them in the past. Unfortunately, Dr Vaughn was impatient, frustrated, and rude when I tried to explain to her what my past experience was dealing with the same issue my cat was being seen for today. I also felt that she was trying to sell me things that my cat didn't need.
My cat gets a seasonal allergic reaction every year and I've been able to get one simple cortisone injection that has cured her, basically immediately. For some reason, EAH doesn't carry it which would be fine if they just had some kindness and patience in talking with me about it.
Now, instead of the simple fix that I've gotten for the last 3 years, I have to give my cat medication every day for over a month, which takes over 2 weeks to start working meaning my kitty will be super itchy for 2 more weeks. Another employee interrupted me repeatedly when I was trying to explain why I was confused by what the Dr. said. When I told her I don't appreciate being interrupted, she ignored me. When she brought my cat to my car, and handed me the paperwork, she nastily and sarcastically said "You're welcome!"
I have really struggled to find a good vet in this area. This isn't the first that that I've experienced rude staff and frustrated, impatient doctors. But it's definitely one of the worst experiences I've had. If you're a pet owner I would avoid the place.

This has been my Vet clinic for decades. I have always received the top service a vet could provide. And at great cost while maintaining a high standard of care. I was disappointed when I called and learned my vet had retired and the entire staff left, changing hands to new vets and staff. I live in Florence , have 3 pets and was ready to begin my search for a new, closer vet. But after speaking to the staff, then one of the vets for just 30 minutes I realized that my vet had taken great care in choosing the right people to leave the clinic to when retiring. So I'm making the drive and feel completely confident I will continue to receive that high standard of truthful, professional, skilled and living care without emptying my wallet. More decades to come !

No longer Dr Hayden or his office staff. Current group is shockingly rude! They are over priced and padded the bill with unnecessary medications and fees. Upselling every test and treatment available then implying you're a bad owner for declining. Their waiting area is too small and cramped. Long wait times. I would never recommend this office under the new management.

We were a little nervous when Dr Hayden retired but can't express how happy and comfortable we are with Dr Losert, Dr Kenna and staff. As soon as I walked through the door they were so accommodating and friendly. Our English Bulldog was due for his neutering which isn't necessarily a good visit to the vet, but they treated him and us with respect and made us feel comfortable. We dropped our little guy off in the morning and as promised they called and updated us during the procedure and took the time to educate us on what to expect and what steps were needed to expedite a speedy recovery. When I went to pick Bentley up as much as the little fella went through he had to make his rounds to kiss and thank all the staff goodbye. Thank you for everything!!! You are officially stuck with our 2 English bulldogs

Never actually got to visit this clinic although it would be very convienient to where I live. I called on two separate occasions and was told to go to Deerfield Emergency Vet Clinic both times despite my dogs issues being non-emergency. I was basically turned down and when I asked why they cant see my dog and I the Tech gave the run-around and never answered. But I was told "Good Luck!" so.....yea.

We have been bringing our dogs here since moving to the area five years ago. Dr. Hayden and his staff are awesome. The office and examination area are both neat and clean. Dr. Hayden is knowledgeable and provides excellent care for our animals. I am so happy we found him!!

I'm very sad to be leaving EAH as a client because its front desk staff is really so lovely, but Dr. Hayden himself is not the vet for you if you're interested in a compassionate or helpful experience. Came to him the other day with a simple question (after being his client for over a year), and was condescended to so inappropriately that I left the office in tears. I will miss the warm smiles that greeted me at EAH, but am now on the search for a vet who will treat me like a human being.

One of my favorite all time vets. No nonsense, this is a zero BS zone. When 2 other vets and a specialist from Tufts couldn't diagnose my dog, Doc Hayden figured out her problem. 8 years later she is still doing great, and Doc spayed the new puppy for us. Recovery from the spay was as fast as I have seen. Some of the office furnishings are a little older, not so fancy, But every time I have ever been there I have been impressed with how clean the place is. When my dogs are sick, this is where I go.

I have always found Dr. Hayden and his staff to very kind and gentle and very good at what they do. I love that the office is so conveniently located and even if I have a question to ask, they are there for me over the phone. I have never had a problem and plan to have a long relationship with Easthampton Animal Hospital. I wouldn't go any where else.

Absolute worst vet, does not care about your animal!! I called after coming home and finding my 15 year old mini dachshund pouring blood from her mouth. Knowing she has seizures, and I have another dog that gets really nervous when she does, I thought maybe she had been attacked. But before I could even get anything out beyond my dog is bleeding the woman that answered the phone cuts me off trying to send me to south Deerfield emergency vet where they want $500 before they'll even make your animal COMFORTABLE, let alone treat it!! Then to top it all off she calls the animal inspector and reports me after I hung up on her when she started telling me that unless I can provide current rabies vaccines for all dogs involves they can't even see me... I asked her so I'm just supposed to watch my dog bleed to death and suffer while you're worried about protocol?! What is wrong with all of these vets?! How can you all sleep at night knowing there's an animal suffering and all you care about is money or protocol... shame on you, shame on the south Deerfield emergency vet that left my other dogs eye hanging out of her head until I could beg someone to help me pay the bill and shame on me for being so caring that I can't watch animals be in pain or mistreated so while I may not be able to afford it I still take care of them because I couldn't live with myself knowing there's something I could've done. And thanks for trying to make things even harder on me by calling the animal inspector!

I have brought three of my dogs here. He told me to take one of my dogs elsewhere because he couldn't treat her. Then I brought my puppies to him seeing that they were healthy maybe he could manage care for them. I had a general question and called his office to ask a simple question when I was treated VERY rudely by his staff and then hung up on! So I called the office back and spoke to a much nicer receptionist who I had explained that there was no reason for the previous employee to be rude and hang up on me. For the record I was polite to the first girl and said thank you for the information instead of your welcome she just hung up. So today Dr Hayden sent me certified letter stating he will no longer treat my dogs! I won't take them there again anyway because apparently he only teats healthy dogs and he allows his staff to be extremely rude to paying customers. His place is run down and dirty. I only went a few times because the location was close by. I'm not sure why he would send a letter telling me he will no longer prescribe my dog her prescription food considering she is dead.

Dr. Hayden is great -- an old-school family vet who can find the balance between appropriate treatment and quality of life for an animal. The staff is completely flexible and friendly about making appointments, and Saturday mornings even have a walk-in clinic. Compassionate care, without hyperbole or up-selling.

I was very pleased with Dr. Hayden and his staff at Easthampton Animal Hospital. I was able to make an appointment on the same day, and Dr. Hayden was on time to see my cat. He thoroughly examined my cat, made an accurate diagnosis, and gave me his recommendations. Dr. Hayden was VERY gentle with my cat. His staff were also really pleasant. I will strongly recommend Dr. Hayden for anyone!!!!!

Super disappointed in Easthampton Animal Hospital after a horrible experience with them today. Hardly ever in my life have I left a negative review online but this one had to be shared.
I wanted to give Easthampton Animal Hospital one more try after being disappointed by them in the past. Unfortunately, Dr Vaughn was impatient, frustrated, and rude when I tried to explain to her what my past experience was dealing with the same issue my cat was being seen for today. I also felt that she was trying to sell me things that my cat didn't need.

This has been my Vet clinic for decades. I have always received the top service a vet could provide. And at great cost while maintaining a high standard of care. Upselling every test and treatment available then implying you're a bad owner for declining. Their waiting area is too small and cramped. Long wait times. I would never recommend this office under the new management.

We were a little nervous when Dr Hayden retired but can't express how happy and comfortable we are with Dr Losert, Dr Kenna and staff. As soon as I walked through the door they were so accommodating and friendly. Our English Bulldog was due for his neutering which isn't necessarily a good visit to the vet, but they treated him and us with respect and made us feel comfortable. Never actually got to visit this clinic although it would be very convienient to where I live. I'm very sad to be leaving EAH as a client because its front desk staff is really so lovely, but Dr. Hayden himself is not the vet for you if you're interested in a compassionate or helpful experience. Came to him the other day with a simple question (after being his client for over a year), and was condescended to so inappropriately that I left the office in tears. I will miss the warm smiles that greeted me at EAH, but am now on the search for a vet who will treat me like a human being.

One of my favorite all time vets. No nonsense, this is a zero BS zone. When 2 other vets and a specialist from Tufts couldn't diagnose my dog, Doc Hayden figured out her problem. 8 years later she is still doing great, and Doc spayed the new puppy for us. Recovery from the spay was as fast as I have seen. Some of the office furnishings are a little older, not so fancy, But every time I have ever been there I have been impressed with how clean the place is. When my dogs are sick, this is where I go.

I have always found Dr. Hayden and his staff to very kind and gentle and very good at what they do. I love that the office is so conveniently located and even if I have a question to ask, they are there for me over the phone. I have never had a problem and plan to have a long relationship with Easthampton Animal Hospital. I wouldn't go any where else.
