I have had my cat for 15 years and have gone to several vets and this is by far the best facility I have ever been to. Fast and friendly staff who treat my cat with the best quality of care I have experienced. They're very lenient with rescheduling appointments and with having you in the room with your pet even when they suggest you wait in the waiting room. Our four legged family members have been cared for here for over 20 years. They have always had the best care. We have a 6 ½ year old mix breed that was diagnosed with seizures at age 3 and he has been well cared for with frequent follow up and labs to ensure the medication is helping him and not harming him. Last month, my husband and I brought our 14 year golden retriever in to be looked at for health issues. We knew it was bad and the entire staff went over and above to help us through the very tough decision to put him down. We never had to do that before and we were a mess but everyone there walked us through the entire process with such kindness and compassion...we would never go anywhere else. We also have a 4 month old puppy that has just started daycare there. She is pretty nervous now that our golden (her security buddy) is gone and the staff has once again shown us nothing but patience and kindness with her. Good staff but horrible management!! I used to work there and I can't understand why some staff stay as long as they do!! One of the owners is so stuck up that in the 2 years I worked there he maybe said 5 words to me! He is the most stuck up , unappreciative business owners I have ever seen and I have worked for some real jerks! They have no respect for any of their employees and now even video tape and voice record them at all times! I am glad I left before that happened! I would never work for a company that doesn't trust me! So ridiculous! I am pretty sure that's illegal too unless every single employee signs a waiver AND customers are SUPPOSED to be notified they are being recorded!! Of course they wouldn't tell anyone that! They don't care about the customers or their employees having any privacy! I think they are around animals too much because that's how they treat them! Anyways the care they give the animals is good but the staff is most responsible for that, not the doctors or management. I wouldn't bring my pets there ever again mostly because I know how everyone is treated there and going back into that hospital would make me shake! Read Less

Have not been happy with the service with Gardner Animal Care Center since my dog has become a senior dog. Recently she became sick. It took them weeks, and nearly lost my dog over trying to figure out a diagnosis. They finally gave me a referral on a Friday night. The place was not open on the weekend. Needless to say, my dog ended up needed treatment over the weekend. We went to a 24/7 hospital which they told me they were not able to treat her. This place was able to treat her enough and get her stabilized and transferred to one of the best animal hospitals in New England. My dog is now receiving the best treatment. However if she was diagnosed sooner, her outcome may have been better than it is right now. Read Less

This review is only of the new groomer. So disappointed with the unprofessional treatment of our dog Maggie at the groomers today. She wrote FREAK! across the bottom of Maggie's invoice (the copy I wasn't supposed to see). She never bothered to let me know if there were issues when I picked her up, and Maggie has been a patient here for last 4-5yrs. We have used grooming services several times.  I know Maggie is nervous and scared when being groomed, but name calling is truly unacceptable. As far as I am concerned....the only one that can call her a freak is ME.  Have always been very happy with care received by Vet and vet techs!  Just was very upset with the lack of respect from the groomer. Maggie is a timid golden retriever who gets nervous when her people are not with her. Read Less

I'll admit I became annoyed that they told me the blood text would take 8 minutes and I sat and waited for 35 minutes. ..but they didn't up sell me or pressure me into buying expensive stuff because I told them I am poor, which is true :-( so, for much less cost than I thought, they quickly diagnosed and treated my chihuahua for lime disease and she's gonna be fine. I'd bring my pets back to this place before taking a chance at a different one.Read Less

5 Woofs for sure!!! Our little girl Sally boarded here for the past week and she returned to us happy, energetic, well-fed and sweet smelling. Animals can't use words to describe an experience but rather display their emotions non-verbally. Sally is a shy, recently rescued mutt and this is the first time we have boarded her. The sense I am getting from her is that she experienced no adverse affects from her stay in a kennel but rather is relaxed and the same sweet dog I left last week. She was walked, played with and received attention from the staff. I highly recommend this facility and we will be boarding here again. Read Less

I was there before 9 am and the doctor was already busy Very friendly doctor and was sincerely interested in my problem with my cat. Carefully handled my cat and my problems and I was out of his office in 15 minutes, Other vets I would have had to wait 45 minutes any way. And his pricing was the lowest I've seen in years. My family has been taking all of our pets here since I can remember (1 dog and 3 cats).  The vets and the vet techs are excellent.  We have some pretty "nervous" as they are all rescues, and they are put at ease during routine check ups and other procedures by the gentle nature of the great staff.  We have used their boarding services and were very happy with those as well. I cannot say enough about Gardner Animal Care Center. I started taking my 3 dogs there in 2012, even though I live an hour away! I decided to use them for my dog's acl surgery because my boyfriend's parents' dog had already had a successful acl surgery with GACC. Now I take them there for everything. It's worth the extra gas money, in my opinion. Plus, they are usually able to get my dogs in last minute if there's an emergency, which I can't say was the case with my local vet. All of the technicians at GACC are knowledgeable and friendly. Plus, you can tell they love dogs. Dr. McTighe is awesome. He did my dog's first acl surgery, which went very well. She was back to running and jumping within months. He recently did her second acl surgery, though he never advocated for it. In fact, he encouraged me to try alternative therapies first (ex.-laser, swimming, etc.). I feel comfortable leaving my dogs in their care. I highly recommend them to anyone. Read Less
