Hudson Animal Hospital deserves a 5 STAR rating.  I have been going here for years and years.  The staff is compassionate and knowledgeable. I have known Dr. Peduzzi for over 25 years. He is amazing, kind and a very smart vet.  He put our beloved dog, Jazzy, down at age 15 with such compassion.  When our beautiful cats had to be put down at age 15-16 he again showed compassion and care. He shared his personal stories with us about his beloved dog.  He donated in our pets name to a local organization which made us feel like he really cared about us and them.  Recently we have been seeing Dr. Rondeau, due to timing and scheduling issues on our part, and found her to be a wonderful vet as well.  We have two kittens, one being very challenging with possible genetic issues.  Dr Rondeau was able to relentlessly figure out how to keep this kitten alive and well while living a pretty normal life.  I have the greatest respect for Hudson Animal Hospital.  Hudson, Mass is lucky to have such a wonderful hospital in their location. Our dog was in need of surgery. The vets put him on medications that didn’t work for about a month. He finally got the surgery and conveniently contracted scabies a few days later. He is not healing well and the vets are generally unhelpful. Feels like a complete guessing game. Would not recommend to anyone. Read Less

Hudson Animal Hospital is your animals quickest way to the grave. Went there to diagnose a dog having an issue with walking. We were told the dog has a neurological issue and we should put her down, just like that. After getting a second opinion from a more reputable Veterinary Hospital it turns out that she has cancer in her spine that could actually be felt by a competent veterinarian. It makes me wonder if any of my other animals had been misdiagnosed, and could have been saved. Do right by your animal and find a better hospital. Read Less

I have been bringing my animals to hudson animal hospital for 8 years now.  The office staff is very friendly and the doctors are very thorough.  I find the pricing to be cheaper than the vca we were going to.  I am always able to get an apt fast and they always follow up on my dogs health.  I especially like receiving emails to remind me of apts as well as their lab results.  I would absolutley recommend them. I have been going to Hudson Animal for at least 30 years. Would never even think of going anywhere else. Recently had to bring my 2 year old rescue dog in she was so sick. We've been going to Hudson Animal Hospital to see Dr Perduzzi and his team for over 13 years. They all advocate for our dogs and are a very friendly and caring group. When we had to put one of our dogs down last March, Dr Perduzzi was sympathetic and kind, as was the whole staff. They've been there for us and have been extremely accommodating. When we run into staff members around town, it's like running into friends, 13+ years is a long time after all! With another new pup added to our growing family, I know our dogs are in great hands. We've been meeting a lot of the new doctors on staff lately and they have all been great. I've recommended this practice to friends and know that they too feel the same as I do. A few months ago I called Hudson Animal Hospital with a emergency. My Vet didnt have a Vet on so when I called Hudson they refused to see my dog. They said I had to go to an emergency vet many miles away. I explained that my dog needed to be put down. They still wouldnt see him .So my poor baby died in my car on the way to another Vet that would see him.He suffered and died a terrible death. I think they forgot the reason why they do that Job. The first time she had needed treatment after consuming inedibles and that was successful. However the doctor didn't seem concerned about what she had gotten in to and instead said it was because we gave her too many treats. The second time we went after she had been sick all night we were told it was due to being given too many treats, despite this not being the case. The doctor didn't seem terribly concerned about determining any other causes for why she was sick and stuck with lecturing us about watching her and not giving her too many treats despite our concerns that there was another cause to this episode. I gave 2 stars because luckily their treatment worked in both of those cases however the second visit provided us with no answers for how to truly prevent this from happening in the future since "giving her too many treats" did not happen. Just this past Thursday my beloved chihuahua Goliath went into congestive heart failure. Dr. Peduzzi and his staff were absolutely wonderful! My pets have been coming to them for years! In the most heartbreaking and difficult time they were so supportive and comforting. Over about 4 years, we've had very good success at Hudson Animal Hospital. Our cat is treated kindly and gently and everyone is friendly and professional, from the desk staff to the doctors. Recently, Dr. Beth Essington examined our cat and was wonderful with her, and with us. She gave our cat a careful examination, sharing her thoughts every step of the way. I have been a client of Hudson Animal Hospital for over 20 years. They have always treated Me and my animals with the best of care. I had gone in on an emergencey on a Saturday morning because my dog got a hold of my inhaler. They treated him immediately and kept him for the morning to make sure he wasOK. This so called ""hospital"" has no X-ray on ANY weekend. They still let you bring in sick animals and then when they need to take an X-ray they say ""Sorry, Our X-ray machine is 'down'"". But strangely the X-ray system is 'down' EVERY weekend. (Eventually, if you are still a customer, the people at the desk will casually tell you: ""Oh, there is never anyone here who can run the X-ray system on the weekends. So its actually not down, they are simply lying. ) So now you have to find another hospital to take the sick animal to, hopefully its not too late in the day and you can still find one that open, now that Hudson animal hospital has taken your money and wasted your time. We've been bringing our cats to Hudson Animal Hospital for over 10 years and the care is outstanding! We recently lost Rhyder to kidney disease and Dr. Woodbury cared for him through it. She was made was thorough in communicating to us what to expect from the beginning and what we needed to do to maintain his quality of life. I read the previous review, and we have never had such an experience. Only excellent, well informed care for our cats. Rhyder was over 16 years old and Seku had just past her 17th birthday. We brought our dog in for a checkup. The Vet told us he needed 2 teeth extracted and it would cost between $300 and $500. The day they we droped him off for the extraction they changed the price to $500 to $700. Without examining him again. Then when we picked him up they extacted 7 teeth without notifing us.
