Dr. Feccia has been taking care of our cat, Quin, since we got him almost two years ago.  The hospital itself, which is very clean, modern, and professional, is just one mile from the highway, making it very easy for us to get to. Anna the groomer does a fantastic job with sedation grooming my reactive small mixed breed dog.  I am a dog groomer myself and this guy is so crazy that I can't even touch him with the clippers, so what a relief to find another professional and friendly groomer who offers this service.If you do need your animal to be sedated for grooming, they will obviously require the assistance of the veterinary professionals here too, which means your pet will have to become their client first- so expect a prerequisite check up appointment.  The extra sedation procedure will also add a corresponding list of charges to your grooming bill so don't be surprised by that.   But generally, the whole thing was quite reasonably priced.  Overall the veterinary staff are also quite professional and pleasant, even though I called them like 50 times and accidentally walked through their treatment area to get to the grooming office they were very friendly and patient with me lol Read Less

I called with an true emergency.I was a client of theirs with my previous dog. My dog was having trouble breathing and turning blue. Shout out to Leominster Animal Hospital. Took my cat in Thursday. The doctor called me yesterday to check on her and see if she is improving. They called again today for the same information. Yes, she is improving. It is sort of a conundrum. On one end, I hate getting phone calls. On the other, I am amazed in 2016, customer service is so amazing. The vets are good. The office staff are as rude as you can find. You will always wait...despite having an appointment. Typical wait is 45minutes plus...that is after you are completely ignored when you walk through the door. Done with this place...after three pets and 10 years. Read Less

DO NOT GO HERE!!!  I am very disappointed in Dr. Feccia, and I do not recommend anyone give him business.  My wife found a lost dog on our street with no tags except for a Leominster Animal Hospital tag, so she brought it to the Leominster Animal Hospital so they could reunite it with her owner.  The staff identified who the owner was, but when the owner did not answer his phone they refused to take the dog!  When Dr. Feccia came out, he threatened to call the police and have my wife arrested for dog abandonment if she left the dog there!  He was extremely rude, and even told my wife to never return (don't worry, we won't).  He is a worthless piece of crap in my book, and you should not give him your business.  (as a side note, my wife subsequently called the Central Animal Hospital and they were glad to hold on to the dog until the owner could be reached).-Peter Read Less

I brought an adult cat here three weeks ago because he would not put any weight on his front paw and swollen eye. Dr. Fescia had his nails trimmed and prescribed an eye drop for conjunctivitis to the tune of $275.00. Returned a week later for a follow up  all paws were swollen, he still would not put any weight on his left paw and his eye was worse. Gave him prednisone and and antibiotic shot for 175.00. Third follow up, eye was much worse, as was his front foot and rear foot bleeding.  This time it was not fecia but a dr carol proux. Looked at his eye, checked for abscess tooth, which fecia ruled out and though a blocked salivary gland. I asked about his paws and she said "we will help him with that." Left the room and came back with a 475.00 estimate for bloodwork to be sent to lab. I told her I was taking him somewhere else  because this was the third visit and he was getting worse. She said "oh, well maybe I can look at his blood here for free." Looked under the microscope and came up with the salivary gland diagnosis. If you care about your pet do not bring them to this vet, incompetent, money hungry scam artist. PS while in the waiting room a woman brought in her sick puppy.  This was a Friday afternoon before Labor Day. She was very concerned for her animal, she told the receptionist she forgot her credit card. The receptionist handed her the "payment policy" and said " well then we can't see your dog until Tuesday." Girl said I have been coming here for years can you bill me or can I call back with my credit card number? " receptionist said "sorry, you will have to wait until Tuesday." They didn't know about Yelp, so it's not the vet's fault.After finally finding the right location I experienced exceptionally caring service here. Seeing that my dog was nervous around other dogs (she was cornered by a larger dog on the way into the receptionist), the office staff jumped up and offered to let her in the side, past the main reception area, and go straight into an exam room. Then, when it was time to weigh her, the vet assistant first checked the hallways to ensure no other animals were present before leading my dog out. The same care was taken to ensure a stress-free departure.The vet tried really hard to upsell me on all sorts of preventative medications and treatments that I honestly don't feel are warranted, which is why this vet gets a 4, not 5, star rating from me. We called over a month ago to get our cats fixed, they told us to email them, after two weeks without an email we emailed them again, they told us at this point they would email us with a date to bring in our two cats. We recieved the date and time and brought our cats in at their specified date and time, the woman at the desk says we are not on their list....one month of waiting and we are not on any list nor do they have a date for us, they said they would call us with a new date....nothing yet, very unprofessional and completely unorganized....find a different place to bring your pet *UPDATE*: They contacted us with a coupon to take our cats there for "whenever you want" at a "greatly reduced price", I asked "is it going to take another month for our cats to get in", "No, sir, whenever you want"....the earliest they could do was the next month. So we started this whole nightmare in June and now have had to wait until September...$70 cheaper with the coupon than what they had originally said ($200 was their rough estimate), so far thats the only plus....I don't think its been worth the time and effort though...we'll see how it turns out once the cats are back....
