Took my kitten here and my expectations were completely blown. I've had many pets and been to larger vets with fancier waiting rooms, but never felt like my pet was cared for as much as at Pine Banks. Ashley is amazing and caring. They are extra careful not to combine too many shots in a small kitten and give us very detailed instructions when we take him home--even though every time he is supposed to be lethargic and out of it he is still totally jolly and happy. What's more amazing is that when we take the carrier out, he walks right in and has no fear. It's like he knows they are good people who are taking the best care of him. Family is a perfectly fitting word to describe Dr. Syed and the staff at Pine Banks Animal Hospital. Ive brought my pets to these wonderful professionals for many years and have done so with 100% trust and confidence in their knowledge and capabilities. As a business owner, I cant help but notice and appreciate the diligence of the staff and techs and the environment of teamwork this teamwork is the foundation of any successful business and when applied especially to the pets that we love so much its no wonder the word respect comes to mind. They are special people with big hearts who know what they are doing and do it extremely well. Dr Syed is a man of character, compassion and competence. His expertise, years of experience and mindfulness is unparalleled in my opinion. Id like to also add a perspective that is not often vocalized; its difficult for us pet owners to face the inevitable aging process of our pets but what Id like to acknowledge is the manner in which end-of-life care was given. As my most recent pet aged14, 15, 16 years, and I knew time was growing short, Dr. Syed was the utmost professional. I knew that my pet was in good hands as Dr. Syed was so very compassionate in applying all of his experience and knowledge in caring for my pets end-of-life stage. Ill never be able to express my appreciation regarding the length at which Dr. Syed went out of his way to not ONLY care for my pets needs but also interact with me like a friend rather than like a customerand that includes the entire staff. Its not something Ill ever forget. He sets high standards and I know he expects those same standards from all who represent this hospital. Dr Syed and Brenda and the staff are the best. Dr Syed is like family to me. I have working dogs and he is the best with them. Rage my 12 year old Dutch Shepherd is retired but brought me to France in 2007 with the United States to compete against 5 other countries in French Ring Sport. I brought my cat in with a broken dewclaw on her left paw. This place was horribly dirty with floors that clearly hadn't been washed in a long time as there was fur everywhere and pet nail clippings all over surfaces. Dr. Chopra was not only late for the visit, but he came in and was very rough in how he handled our cat which completely stressed her out. He then preceded to put us in a panic by telling us that this was a super serious injury. He told us he was going to bandage her paw and give her an antibiotic. So, he took her into another room and all we could hear was our cat screaming and crying. When he brought her back, we realize that her other paw was now bleeding (he had broken claws on her other paw while he struggled with her). After seeing her other paw was now bleeding, the Dr. walked away and just handed the cat to the assistant to deal with. At this point we left because we didn't want them touching her anymore. We got wonderful care at Mass Vet Referral in Woburn, who told us that this injury was not a big deal and that the other vet had clearly mishandled the situation. Overall Point: Go elsewhere if you love your pets and don't want them misdiagnosed and mistreated. These people are rude and completely unprofessional! Read Less
