Tried to book an appt a couple years ago for one of my outdoor cats who was very sick. They would not take him because I couldn't find his paperwork. Maybe the name animal "hospital" should be changed because it was an emergency and unfortunately we lost our baby Jack. Found his paperwork two weeks later. Now years later we have rescued a kitten. I just called to set up an appt and got nothing but attitude and judgemental tone. I NEVER leave reviews but with this being the second time something like this has happened here. I would never trust leaving my cats with a person with the kind of attitude I've received. Julie or Julia....if you don't like your job get a new one. I for one believe animal hospitals are like doctors offices. People who work in these places should be kind and have compassion. Really disappointed and not impressed. Read Less

We have been bringing Frannie Greene our Great Pyrenees, here for 6 years. We are big fans of Drs. Barrow, Ravenessi and Angell. Frannie has had two knee surgeries and everyone including the staff has seen her through her recovery. We still return for additional checkups and even her regular toe nail clippings. I cant even give them 1 star but they make you chose a star. Were a young couple just starting out with cattle and hadn't had the need for a "full" time vet since luckily we hadn't had any problems. We had used them a few times for just little things only. Well that changed the other night when we had a heifer that was having trouble calving and our neighbors wasn't able to help get it out. I called them and was informed that he would NOT come out since we wasn't an established client. That was all I needed to know about them. It's kind of hard to be an "established" client when your just starting out and when you need help they wont come help even though they were not busy at the time. I will not ever go there again and there were several neighbors at my house trying to help that use this clinic that said they would be switching after hearing that. I would not recommend them! and on a side note we lost the cow and the calf.. thanks a lot. Read Less

We are so glad we went to Marshfield Animal Hospital for our little 7-month-old yellow lab Sienna! They were able to quickly diagnose her (two torn ACL's - extremely rare for a puppy her age!) and refer us to a great specialist down Cape. I can describe two experiences; mine and my sisters. I went there with my cat for a check-up due to his weight. The veterinarian was thorough and thoughtful as she examined Max. She left me with a lot of ideas about how to handle his weight and I came out very satisfied. My sister's dog needed back surgery and the surgeon there (not sure of his name) did a wonderful job. Ben is now pain-free and almost as agile as he had been before his back problem. They could have recommended putting him to sleep. It cost a little more, but he is alive and well and my sister is thrilled. I've heard nothing but good reviews about this hospital. Read Less

My dogs are my family, so I only want to give them the best.  Everyone is very loving and caring at MAH. I've been to numerous vets and worked with many of the technicians.  They are expensive, but thankfully my dogs don't have a lot of issues.  Please note that you can "decline" some of the expensive tests, just talk to them about it before they administer anything.  They also give excellent referrals for more complex diagnosis.  I wouldn't go anyplace else! The building has been rebuilt with lots of open space in the lobby to separate the animals as they come and go.The staff - doctors especially - get 5 stars for friendliness and knowledge.  They have taken extremely good care of my 15 year old pup, and and were extremely sympathetic when I had to put my 11 year old woofer down because of liver failure.  I can't thank them enough for that.BUT, every time I go there (at least once a year) my wait time is AT LEAST 15 minutes, but the last two times they have been 25 minutes and most recently 22.  (We're headed back in a few weeks for a follow up - same time so it will be interesting if it happens again).  I understand that sometimes things happen in this sort of business, but it is consistent.  I appreciate people who appreciate my time, and for that they loose some stars...$360 for an annual physical for two dogs, including a lime vaccine and heart worm test.  ($.50 a day per dog for a year of joy?  no brainer...)
