We had to bring our 11 year old cat Blackjack there for a situation. We were referred to VCA in Weymouth unfortunately he had to be put down. South River Veterinary Service never charged us for his visit. They were very good to him & diagnosed him as a true emergency that their facility could not do. I would like to thank the staff they were extremely sympathetic when we let them know he was beyond any care that could be done. Thank you again

The most caring Veterinarian & staff EVER! Dr. Nicole took excellent care of my lovely Angel Girl Cat. Everyone was very compassionate & actually cared about my cat & me, not at all like the other "Animal Hospital". Those people don't care about anything but $$$. I have had MANY unpleasant experiences there, as have my animals. (Unfortunately). I couldn't believe the difference. Like night & day. My animals will go to South River Veterinary!

From the first day I called the whole staff has been nothing but kind, welcoming, and informative! They're my favorite vet (I've had a couple prior with my old dog) and I highly recommend them to anyone looking!

In the last days of his life, I took my dog, Willie, to South River to be put to sleep. This was my first time facing this reality, and I honestly didn't know what to expect. I certainly didn't expect the overwhelming compassion and patience of our doctor. Dr. Berman comforted my mother and helped us cope with Willie's passing in a way that honored him and the role he played in our lives. There was nothing clinical about it.I am so grateful to have taken Willie here for his last appointment. If I ever need it, I will definitely use South River in the future.

The short time Dr Berman provided care for our elder dog Buster Brown, was nothing short of true love for his profession, his clients, and most importantly, his four legged clients. In time, we hope to have a long lasting, healthy and happier relationship with Dr. Ed and his staff. Like many New Englanders we're always wary of change, but Dr Berman, Dave, and the rest of his wonderful team are an amazing addition to Marshfield. They're all highly knowledgeable and deeply compassionate. We recently had to have our beautiful Westie, Alfie, put to sleep. Dr B and his team were incredible. They gave us space and time with Alfie, and were warm and supportive throughout. The grief we feel now will, in time, diminish, but the memory of the loving experience with Dr B and his team will last a lifetime.

The best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. From dr Moss to the assistant and the front desk staff. They are caring, informative and go out of their way to keep the cost down. Their expertise is unsurpassed. They are sensitive to the pet owners and always follow up with a phone call. I can not recommend them more highly. If you go there you will never go anywhere else. As a first time pet owner moving back to the Massachusetts area I didnt know where to go for a vet. One day, I had an emergency with my dog and Jenny and her staff took him in right away, without an appointment as a first time patient. She is very caring and you can tell she loves all the animals that walk through her door. She tries to keep things as low cost as possible too which is nice. Definatly recomend!

The best veterinary clinic I have ever been to. From dr Moss to the assistant and the front desk staff. They are caring, informative and go out of their way to keep the cost down. Their expertise is unsurpassed. They are sensitive to the pet owners and always follow up with a phone call. I can not recommend them more highly. If you go there you will never go anywhere else. Thank you for all you have done for us and our special four legged family members,Charlotte and Jackson:)

As a first time pet owner moving back to the Massachusetts area I didnt know where to go for a vet. One day, I had an emergency with my dog and Jenny and her staff took him in right away, without an appointment as a first time patient. She is very caring and you can tell she loves all the animals that walk through her door. She tries to keep things as low cost as possible too which is nice. Definatly recomend!
