I have been using Medway for several years for our French Bulldogs.  I can't say enough about their caring, knowledge and love of animals. I mostly used Dr. Robinson however have seen several others on occasion with the same great result. I was referred to Dr. Robinson at Medway Animal Hospital by a family friend and it was the best decision I ever made. Whenever you meet a new dr even for your pet, your nervous at what you will be met with. Dr. Robinson dispels all that nervousness immediately! He is extremely compassionate and caring not only of our pets but with my family as well! Dr. Robinson takes the time to get to know your pets as well as your family as a whole. When our kitten was to be spayed, my daughters and I were very scared of the anesthesia. Dr. Robinson took the time to assure us that he would take very good care of her and subsequently gave her the best care imaginable! We also have ferrets and even tho Medway Animal Hospital does not see ferrets, when our oldest furr baby developed cancer, Dr. Robinson took care of her till the very end. I have never met a more compassionate and empathetic dr. He treated her with such tender hands and a tender heart that when it was time to say goodbye and cross the rainbow bridge, I know she went as peacefully and as comfortably as possible. This week when one of our other ferrets had an accident and needed to have his leg amputated, Dr. Robinson was honest with us that we needed to find a more experienced vet. He did not want to do a disservice to our pet. He did not turn us away but instead helped us to find a vet for him!! My respect for him as a dr continues to grow! The staff at Medway Animal Hospital is also a pleasure to deal with! Melissa, the office manager, is unparalleled! With the passing of our ferret and the search for a vet in our most recent emergency she has shown over and over again a vested interest in our family and our needs! I love Medway Animal Hospital. I have two dogs and have been going to Medway Animal Hospital for four years.   All of the vets are so caring.  It is very clear that they are in this profession because they love animals.  The vets have gone way above and beyond on more than one occasion.  I had a very sick puppy and not only did they fit me in at a moments notice, they called several times to check on him.  They helped me get him healthy and he is now a very strong and healthy dog.  All of the vets are wonderful and I would recommend that you see any of them, but I would like to give Dr. Robinson a special acknowledgement.  I have never met a kinder vet.  He is caring, patient, and extremely understanding.   I have always felt supported and as if we are partners in my dogs care.  We make decisions for my dogs based on our lifestyle and needs.  He has never pushed anything on me that's unnecessary.   If you're looking for a caring atmosphere for your pet, Medway Animal Hospital is the place to go. I have to say that my experiences here with the actual veterinarians and techs have been wonderful!!! They are caring, knowledgeable doctors that go the extra mile. I have been SO IMPRESSED with the vets we have worked with: Dr. Robinson, Dr. Cardon, and we have seen Dr. Goldman. My two dogs and my cat have received amazing care here. One of my dogs even had to have a specialty surgery and a surgeon was brought in to operate. Fabulous communication with the doctors. I have been very pleased the last two years we have been patients. HOWEVER, the front desk help leaves much to be desired. (Thus the 4 stars. I'd give less but it's the hospital that I'm reviewing. ) Pretty incompetent to be honest. Everything ranging from incorrect billing/ wrong charges, miscommunication/ misinformation constantly, and overall lack of good customer service. EVERY time I have called (even just to make an appointment or to pick up meds, etc) , it's like a huge ordeal that takes 20 minutes minimum. The girls that we have dealt with that answer phones are like zombies sometimes and do not accommodate very well. I truly dread calling there. My husband has even complained about the front staff when he has been there too (and he NEVER complains about anything!) I wish that they could find more personable, intelligent, and with-it front desk help. It really is a great veterinary hospital and it tarnishes their operation to be represented in the front like that. But hey, it's Medway after all. At least we have fabulous doctors here. My one gripe is they always have to wait about 45 minutes to be seen. No matter what time of day my appointment is. Most of the vets there I really like and worth the wait.... Would be nice to be able to get in and out of there a little quicker but that's how it goes pretty often. Read Less

I love Medway AH - Dr Mansfield an Catalda are my favorites. From Bacon the beagle with neck issues who is in love with Dr. Mansfield, Cheddar the big baby that Catalda has to carry into the hospital (100 lbs of lab) to Zeus the psycho heart failure, hyperthyroid cat (and all the beasts in between) - they are always willing to help. Dr. Mansfield saw right away that psycho cat was not right and sent me immediately for a cardiac ultrasound - now Zeus is doing great and breathing easier thanks to Medway Animal Hospital. Read Less

I moved almost an hour away and still bring the Captain to Medway for his annual check ups and sick visits, they are very good at accommodating same day/last minute appointments for when he's not feeling his usual self.. Just brought my 8 week puppy for her first appointment and left. Had to wait 30 minutes even though we had an appointment at 9 and no one else was there. Instead of seeing us the vet took a consult call for 20 min. We were planning on switching but based on how we were treated and how our time was wasted we will not be going back!! Read Less

The staff at Medway Animal Hospital went above and beyond their regular duties and got medication to the kennel our dog was at while we were away for the weekend. For someone to take the time to drop off medication for a beloved pet on a Saturday after work shows incredible compassion for their job. Thank you all!! My 3 babies see Dr. Monica Mansfield who has to be one of the sweetest I have ever met...truly a wonderful person. I have been going to this animal hospital for well over 20 years and i have always been happy with everyone. Dr. Robinson is truly a wonderful vet who i have known for many years. Extremely caring, flexible and everything you could want in a veterinary hospital. Professional diagnosticians, when you have an issue that's hard to figure out. I have 3 dogs and 2 are very special needs. The vets that work here are truly miracle workers and absolutely love what they do, and it shows! They aren't just in it for the money - they honestly love animals. I take both my schnauzer and lionhead bunny here. We see Dr. Lovely -  and she is truly a lovely, caring, compassionate vet -  although I believe she is fairly new to the practice, she knows what she is doing, is very smart, and cares and loves each pet as if it were her own!! Now that makes for a great vet! We so wish we came to Medway Animal Hospital sooner. Can't say enough about M.A.H. Dr. Robinson has been seeing Jack since April, and he is awesome. He clearly LOVES animals, very patient with all of my question-asking (this is my first dog), and extremely knowledgeable. In fact the entire staff is great. His office visits are not expensive, and he often has samples of heart worm meds, etc. He saved me about $50.00 in this medication alone to date. And, he has been there forever. Years. This is important to me, as I got so many word-of-mouth references from friends and neighbors. The exam rooms are clean, and the entire office is tidy and kept up well. Jack was neutered this past Monday... he was sent home with some puppy vicodin, and of course a fashionable cone for his little head. The incision looked good from day one. Hardly any swelling/bruising, and he was stitched up in a perfect straight line. Not that he would notice, but I was impressed by the care and patience taken with this. The nurses didn't want to give him back to me when I picked him up later that day... they LOVED him. He's back to his old self already, and one of the nurses called to see how my lil guy is doing! In the past my cat was a patient at Millis Animal Hospital located in the next town over. Over time I grew a little uneasy since every time I'd bring Cleo in there would be a new vet... a new nurse... a new receptionist... the turnover was a ton... Read Less
