We just moved to the area, and have been to the vet with our 2 cats, one dog, and then a new kitten. We have now seen 4 different doctors and different technicians with every visit. In the past, my experience has been that we have a good experience with, at most, two of the three "entities" at the vet: the receptionist, tech, or vet. However, I now believe that it IS possible to have a good experience across the board! Everyone has been friendly and accommodating across the board with our beasts. Our dog has some special needs and will not tolerate waiting in the waiting room - no problem, they got us right into an exam room to wait for the vet.The doctors have all been gentle with our pets and have listened to our concerns, and discussed next steps thoughtfully and compassionately. The receptionists have always been friendly, and the technicians supportive and accessible. It is wonderful to be somewhere where we know good care is right around the corner! My only suggestion would be that the waiting room be divided into separate areas for cats and dogs, or that some visual block could be provided. The waiting room is very small, and it can make a stressful situation much more stressful to have a strange dog approach a cat carrier, or two dogs meet nose to nose in a space that doesn't allow much room to move away.
