My wife and I have been taking our cats here for several years. My sister-in-law also. We each have our favorite Vets, but we all consistently love the staff and techs. My personal favorite is Dr. Vanessa Hird and Beth the tech, But as I've said everybody is nice and my wife has her faves and so does my sister-in-law. I find them exceptionally caring and their prices are very reasonable. I would not consider another veterinarian in the Merrimack Valley. If my favorite staff were not available in an emergency I would feel extremely comfortable with anyone else on duty! Read Less

I used to like this Vet but lately this is not my favorite. My dog is hysterical he just doesn't like to come here. Most of the staff are not very friendly at all.

I have been taking our "family members' here since we had our first cat in 1986. Dr. Marcoux is the main vet and is kind, sympathetic and compassionate. He gives me an honest assessment every year with my 18 year old cat as to whether it's time to go or not. The various assistants and other vets who have come and gone over the years have been great as well. And the office is good at recommending other vets who treat the animals they don't (such as reptiles and small mammals). I just looked up the number because I'm making an appointment now, and I decided after years of good treatment I should give them a good review. Thanks, Pleasant Valley! Read Less

Dr. Mandeville is wonderful. My dog gets a little shy when we first get in the room, she takes her time making him comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend them!

I have taken all of my pets (dogs and cats) whom I condsider my "children" to PVAH for more than 15 years. PVAH treated all of my pets throughout the years with the MORE THAN APPROPRIATE CARE. In fact the have gone above and beyond during my most recent visit with my beloved 20 year old cat who needed IV treatment by staying well after their closing time. It makes me sad to see the other complaints about PVAH. There was one instance where I had seen another Vet who was just out of school and fairly new to PVAH. I felt I needed a second opinion, and Dr. Marcoux who has been with the practice "forever" always takes the time to speak with me if I ask! I can't speak more highly of Vet Techs Stephanie and Beth who are always caring and supportive to my pets AND ME, when my beloved pets are there for a check-up, sick visit and for the most difficult -having to put one of them to sleep... It gives me great peace of mind to know I have PVAH whenever I need them. Thank you PVAH for all that you have done for us over the past 15+ years! Read Less

I have taken my three cats to Pleasant Valley Animal Hospital since moving to the area in 2003. The staff is always friendly and courteous, and Dr. Coreliss is wonderful and familiar with each of the cats. They are very responsive to every illness and/or condition the cats have developed over the years and tell us to come right in when there is a development or concern. And while it has not been an issue, I appreciate that before any procedure is done, as a rule, the doctor goes over its necessity and benefits and then directs me to the staff to discuss its cost ahead of time. They have always been sensitive to the possibility that their patrons may or may not be prepared for exhorbitant unexpected medical costs for their pets, and they provide the needed information without judgement or pressure in anxious moments.I also appreciate that when they say they will call with test results, they do. Dr. Coreliss calls personally to go over all findings and will continue to answer my questions and work out a plan of action--particularly as one of my cats is an elderly lady. Additionally, regular check-ups are easily scheduled, and they welcome my bringing all three cats (in carriers) at the same time offering a discount for a group visit. They also note reminders of vaccine due dates so I don't slip up and let the date go by without getting the booster.Their care of my cats--who are ages 3 to 17--is personalized to each of them. They are professional, compassionate, astute, and caring of both the animals and their humans! I would not think of taking them elsewhere. Read Less
