I was referred to Dr. Lobprice by my current vet in McKinney because my cat, Willie,  was diagnosed with stomatitis and tooth resorption and needed a dental specialist to extract many of his teeth to ease his pain. Everyone at the clinic was very friendly and Dr. Lobprice was great with my cat. She seemed to really care about him, as did everyone else, and truly appears to have a great passion for animals. My family and I had a very difficult decision to put our dog down. Her health had declined so bad and rapidly within the last couple months. She was 14 almost 15. We hadn't been here before and we haven't built a long term relationship with a veterinarian because we never found one that we really liked until now. When I called to make the appointment the receptionist was so nice, welcoming and explained the process. I had called a few places and didn't feel as comfortable as when I called Main Street Vet. The receptionist really made me feel comfortable. When we arrived for the appointment the staff was just awesome, polite, courteous and caring. Then we met Dr. Medcraft. He was absolutely the best veterinarian I've ever met. Polite, understanding, caring, explained the whole process, options and truly made me feel comfortable. This is a great practice. We will be taking all our animals here. They deserve this review for the hard work they do everyday and the way they treat people and animals. The way they treated my dog and I was hands down the best service we have had from any vet. Despite the sad circumstances it was so nice to know we were in the best hands. I've had 3 dogs cared for by the very knowledgable staff at Main St veterinarian hospital. Two of my dogs lived past 14 with the attention and guidance they provided.  When it was time for the inevitable, Main St made the impossible task as bearable as it could be. We love Dr Jeff & the others. Kind caring and sweet. Very knowledgeable and clean! Did I mention clean. All the time every visit and I have 2 big dogs so we are there a fair amount! Emergency surgery twice with one of my dogs and everything was handled in a kind and gentle and effective fashion. We have had our share of worms and were notified in a very timely manner as well. The employees at Main Street Vets are great with my cats.  My cat is skittish, and they work very hard to ensure that he gets a proper examination without traumatizing him.  It's very easy to get an appointment there.Great vets! Read Less

We have been using this vet office for 15 years. They are unfailingly kind and professional. I could never imagine them saying "It's your fault you missed the call." If the person with the 1-star review really was worried about her dog, why didn't she call in when she didn't get their message? I don't know why the two positive reviews were filtered.I recommend this office. They have three great vets. Why didn't I give them five stars? I'll give 5 to the vet who doesn't call me "Mom". EXTREME NEGLIGENCE: We brought our puppy to them to have a stool sample tested for worms. Even though the sample tested positive, WE WERE NEVER OFFICIALLY NOTIFIED. We called back over 30 days later ONCE WE NOTICED WORMS IN OUR PUPPY'S STOOL, AFTER SHE HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY AFFECTED BY THIS, and their response was, "We called once. Its your fault you missed it." They have absolutely zero process in place to ensure that the pets they provide "care" for actually receive any care. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. WE WILL NEVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING THEM AGAIN. Read Less

I would recommend Main Street Vet to anyone who really loves their pet and cares about their health. I've been seeing Dr. DiPaola for 14 years now and thank God for him!! He has saved my dogs more than once. I fully trust him and that's very important in a vet! His staff is wonderful!
