We really like this vet EXCEPT, the check out process is PAINFULLY LONG. ALWAYS!My dogs have been to several vets due to family moves and I have never, ever, ever waited long to check out. Regardless of whether the vet was using paper or electronic charting, we were handed a slip and everything was waiting within 5-10 minutes. But here it is the absolute norm to wait 20-55 minutes to check out of an appointment. Can't something be streamlined here?! Even medication compounding shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. It's infuriating.EDIT: after writing this I called to schedule veterinary care for my dogs as I was sent an email this morning that stated my oldest dog had lapsed on his rabies vaccine during the first week of February. It is now the end of March. I called. They aren't booking until the end of April. That's fine for the appointment but I asked if we could come in soon just for the one vaccine so he would no longer be lapsed on his rabies. I was told no. First, as a nurse, a vaccine takes all of 1 minute to draw, and 1 minute to administer. I'll add another 2 minutes for documentation. Second, it's awful customer service. This may have been just the thing that tips me over the edge to a new vet. Ridiculous.EDIT TO THE NORTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL RESPONSE: One of my animals is not overdue for her rabies vaccine or any of her medical care. The other dog has been overdue on his rabies vaccine since 2/2018. I was not sent any information regarding this until Wednesday 3/21, when I received an email, however, that is not that fault of the animal hospital as I am ultimately responsible for timely vetting. I take responsibility for that. It still does not excuse why a simple vaccination cannot be administered. I vaccinate my patients if they request vaccination by my office, even if they are overdue for their annual wellness visit, and use their immunization appointment as an opportunity for scheduling. Furthermore, regardless of my dogs medical issues (chronic and incredibly stable) his rabies vaccination still would not be contraindicated. So again, I find it frustrating and think it demonstrates poor customer service. Read Less
