Excellent and very popular multi-vet practice, well-loved and well-established locally, and also popular with New York City based second home owners, whose pets the docs care for every summer. Their popularity and excellent reputation are really the only reason I give them four stars rather than five. They are busy enough that even the presence of three or four vets and several techs doesn't give them a lot of empty slots, so getting my dogs an appointment for a non-emergency but new and unexplained health issue can mean a wait of a week or more. They make sure to fit you in if it seems like an urgent or contagious illness, so it's more an inconvenience than anything. Also, some people, not me, find getting in and out of the parking lot, on a very busy stretch of Routes 7 & 20, difficult and dangerous, and at busy times parking is pretty limited, and it's not really a walkable location.

Dr Ray is the best. We still take our rescue here because they are so compassionate. My other dog goes to Angell and it does not compare to Dr Ray.

We have used SS vet services for about 5 years and i have never met a more dedicated loving bunch of people! The Vets really love animals and it shows in the way they take the time to love on your animal and really get to know them.
I will say they are a bit pricey, but what vet isn't, and you get what you pay for. We recently moved to CT and will greatly miss the staff at South Street Vet.
