Unfortunately, I trusted all of these great reviews and decided to see this vet. Dr. Diebold accused my past vet clinic of using an illegal rabies vaccination - that there is only one that IS legal in our country. (I still want to research whether or not this statement is complete bull or not...) My two ferrets are very different in their weight. I have a very small 11/2 lb girl ferret, Buttons, and a 3lb boy, Wiggles. I take care in monitoring their weight because it wouldn't hurt if she gained a little, and I always want to make sure his weight is down to healthy numbers. My ferrets were both weighed in grams and Dr. Diebold had no idea how to convert grams to pounds when I asked about any changes in their weights. She guess-timated and shrugged off my general questions like they didn't matter. After feeling my little girl's organs for any changes in her adrenal disease, we were thrilled to find out that she's doing great. Then, she felt my little boy's organs and decided that there was a small mass - but too low to be adrenal disease. She took him out of the room with her assistant, Eileen, and said they needed to check him out more. I shouldn't have trusted her to leave the room with him. As time went by...About 20 minutes...My mom and I are very worried. What the f*** are they doing to my animal?? When they finally came back, he was plopped into my arms with a shaved belly and little razor cuts all over his newly bald patch. I was horrified. What did they do without our consent?? She announced, so matter-of-fact that they had done an ultrasound on him, expecting my mom to pay. My mom said, ""excuse me, Doctor, but when you left the room with him, you said to us that you could 'check him out more.' Did I misunderstand you?"" Dr. Diebold's temperament then went completely to an ""how dare you question my knowledge"" kind of tone and mannerism. Caught in her mistake, instead of a simple apology, she openly rolled her eyes at my mom, & cried out, ""Fine! Then you won't have to pay for it! My God!"" My mom replied with a simple ""thank you."" It was very upsetting having my pets in an unfamiliar, and now suddenly, chaotic environment. She seems like a vet who does not think of what is best for animals, but how she can rip you off. Not to mention how rude and demanding she was of her assistant, Eileen. It was uncomfortable to witness. The poor girl acts like she gets beaten by her behind-the-scenes. As we left the exam room, we thanked the Doctor for her time and while there was no response from her, Eileen enthusiastically answered, ""you're welcome!"" I need a vet I can trust and the fact that this Doctor did whatever she felt like doing with my animal has made us very upset. Wiggles is fine but I think only because he's a very socially outgoing little guy, he's over the experience. But, the experience didn't end here....As we left to pay, she threw us a bright smile and said, ""would you like a tour of the building?"" It was the strangest thing! I figured it would only take a minute so we went along with her. She put my crated ferrets back in the exam room and showed us every single room and piece of equipment and how it works, as if we were there for an internship. Also, the receptionist, Jim, called the day before to confirm the appointment and scared me by claiming he never got my ferrets records from our past vet, while he confirmed they were received and in a new file back in Sept. I'm not going to hold this against him, though, because this was the least of our concerns during the uncomfortable visit. Read Less
