I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Harrington and her staff. She has been our vet for close to 20 years, through 6 dogs, 2 cats, and a rabbit. She is a caring, thoughtful, person who truly cares about you and your pets. Every other vet & staff person we've dealt with through the years here has been great too, especially office mgr(?) Stephen. It can take us close to an hour sometimes to drive here from Boston, but we've never regretted doing it. 5 stars from me. Read Less

In the 16 years Dr. Harrington and the staff at Randolph Animal Hospital cared for our family dog, Cleo, I never had a problem with any one. If anything, the entire staff went out of their way to make things easy. When it came time put Cleo down, they made us feel comfortable and loved. They knew how much she meant to us. I've been apprehensive about another veterinary service after having bad experience at another animal hospital in town. My son picked up a stray cat we named Nacho and not having a pet in many years I dreaded finding the right vet. Needless to say I'm completely relieved and beyond happy with the kind, courtesy, promptness, friendly and informative staff at Randolph Animal Hospital. We had out cat neutered and he is doing great! He was in and out within a few hours and was basically back to normal by the end of the day! The fees were very reasonable and I definitely didn't feel it was overpriced with the level of professionalism that was provided. Thank you!! Read Less

I moved to Canton just three months ago, and wanted to find a vet for my two cats, Ms. Lily, age 12, and Pepe, age 7. Previously I had been taking them to Angell Memorial in Boston, and to the Brookline Animal Hospital, but both places were too far if I need to take them to a vet in an emergency. A friend, who has a dog, recommended Randolph Animal Hospital, and took me there for a quick preview. The place was immaculate, the examining rooms fully equipped, and I was impressed. Two weeks later, I brought Lily and Pepe in for complete exams. Dr. Harrington was thorough and absolutely delightful. I recommend this hospital to anyone whose pets need professional care. Read Less

ATTENTION All My Friends and Family - The morning did not start very well for us today......we were traveling, and came across a dog in the middle of the highway, who'd been hit, and was still alive. We pulled over to call State Patrol, but to our dismay, there was not anything they could do, other than send animal control, who didn't seem to be very concerned with the matter. Well, of course, Sean and I could not just leave him/her lying there, as cars sped by at 80 mph, so we crossed the highway to rescue him (with his mangled legs), picked him up (as carefully as possible) and safely brought him to the other side (with grass), until we could figure out what to do. He/She was just the sweetest little Aussie.....poor baby. We tried calling vets, but being a Sunday, finding one which was open was quite the challenge......we finally found one - 40 miles away (in Greensboro) - so we picked up the poor baby again, laid him/her in our car, and took a trip to Greensboro, as Sean drove and I stayed in the back, trying to comfort him/her the best I could. I have never smelled blood before, like I did today. It was the most powerful, nauseating smell, and I was doing the best I could to not burst into tears and throw up at the same time. We finally got him/her to the Carolina Veterinary Specialists, who were absolutely amazing and just as compassionate as we were for this injured, lost baby. The pup was given strong pain meds and fluids (he was in shock and was being stabilized), then the area's animal control came to pick him/her up and bring him/her to their vet facilities, where they will try to mend him/her if the injury is not terminal. When we left, it was difficult to speak. ........I just felt traumatized from all I'd seen, smelled, and felt for this poor little pup Thank God I have an amazing husband by my side, who is just as (if not more) compassionate for those in need, and was there holding my hand after this upsetting event. .........the dog was hit in Asheboro, NC. It did not have a collar or a chip, but he/she appeared to be well-groomed, and someone may be missing him.......hit at mile marker 71 (at the zoo exit, off of highway 73). If someone from this area is reading this, please share this on your wall or send it to any friends, who may be in the area. This baby needs to get taken care of and brought HOME. They would not let us pay for him to be fixed, since they knew we were not the owners.....as only the rightful owners can call these shots. If no one claims him/her, we will go from there.....but please help us spread this news to as many people in this area....again - he/she was a black, white, and brown Australian Shepard......very very very sweet.....and scared to death.Read Less

The compassion I have received from the doctors and the staff have made the several crossings of the "Rainbow Bridge" more than bearable but a continuation of the journey we took together for a while. Thank you RAH, I'll be back, when I get my next dog. I'm back to RAH with my new, about to become my service dog in training. Our first healthy pet visit went well and the Sunday Morning class helps with all the socialization requirements that we'll need for the Canine Good Citizen evaluation. Read Less

We can't say enough good things about this organization. They are compassionate, professional, understanding and amazing at what they do. When we needed them the most, they did every thing we could have asked for and more. They also do incredible things for a rescue group, Paws New England. We will always bring our animals here. They are in business for the right reasons and it shows in everything they do. Read Less

I currently have 3 dogs at home and two guinea pigs in my classroom. I wouldn't dream of taking them anywhere but Randolph Animal Hospital. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. The doctors are second to none. They have repeatedly gone above and beyond to make sure that my animals are healthy and I am informed about the care they may need and/or have gotten. In the past they have cared for my ferrets and my classroom gerbils. Compassion and respect for both the animals and their people abounds at RAH.
