Eileen Seagle is sometimes cheery, usually moody and alway making me feel like I'm being fleeced after my appointment. Especially of late. Prices have risen more than acceptable amounts for the most routine of care. Front staff is crabby like their jobs are in jeopardy. I have been pushed to give optional vaccines, duplicitous tests, and other unnecessary treatments that were very expensive and extremely excessive. Boarding cough ...for a dog that's never boarded, optional Lyme vaccines, rabbit vaccines, tick vaccine, stool samples, booster (a year early!), teeth cleaning, anal glands, anything that they can charge for whether needed or not. Dr Seagle berated me for opting not to do what she suggested, snipping at me that if my dog were important to me then I'd find a way to save money each day in order to pay for his care. !! She became so rude and angry she started spitting when she spoke. When a mean vein bulged in her forehead, I was scared! Not that it matters, really, but I'm a practicing attorney and can afford the best of care. I'm also trained to spot a liar, and sadly I think our doctor Pinocchio is a rat. As it was, the routine wellness check was more than $400! It would have been $900 had I agreed to suggested upgrade. Something wicked is happening here... until they figure it out, good riddance and goodnight, Eileen.

I've been coming here for many years. My cat seems to have more than her share of lives, several of which have needed major treatments, medications and check ups. I feel so violated. I will NOT go back to Parkway, which is very unfortunate...For being an independently owned vet practice, the $$$ they charge is so out of range with the going rate they should be ashamed. In our last appointment, our regular vet was unexpectedly not there. After waiting over an hour to be "worked in" for a wellness visit, we were charged for so many additional injections, stool samples and blood draws that my bill was over $600 for a routine appt and a healthy cat! At their urging, I brought my cat in for a routine cleaning. Granted I didn't ask what it would cost but assumed it would be reasonable. Wrong! A routine cleaning cost us $1400 due to unexpected "extractions." Like my dad's hardware store, the days of solo vet practices are gone, i guess. I will go back to the chain practice near me that posts their charges and don't price gauge.

Dr. Amanda O'Shes is a competent and caring Veterinarian. Both Bella, Parti Yorkie of 10 yrs, and Daisy, a Bichon Yorkie pup, have been well cared for. Need to ask about $$ for followup visits for shots. Seems to be wrongly priced. Followup at human healthcare outlets are not typically charged. Sure the shots, but not for the visit. Dr. O'Shea is great though.

The vets and staff are so helpful and caring. They went the extra mile for us when we moved out of town and needed our labs records sent to new vet. They called them and e/mailed her file within hours...
The vets and staff are so helpful and caring. They went the extra mile for us when we moved out of town and needed our labs records sent to new vet. They called them and e/mailed her file within hours without any issues. It was the easiest transfer we've had with any of our doctors offices. Thanks again for a friendly experience .

I am so sad to give a one star rating, as this has been the place we have taken our pets for a long time- whenever they needed to be seen, we came here. We were always very happy with this clinic, but last year, when our male cat needed to be seen, we noticed that things have changed. This hospital is all about the money now- they will try and get as much money out of you as possible; they don't even tell you what procedures they will be doing and how much that might cost you. Furthermore, they kept harassing us about rabies vaccines for an *indoor* cat, though they had no problem telling me I could scoop the litter while I was pregnant (note: pregnant women are generally told NOT to clean the litter, because of the chance of getting toxoplasmosis, which can be deadly to the fetus), because our cat is "merely an indoor cat and that only outdoor cats can transmit toxoplasmosis from the rodents they kill". Yeah, no. Conflicting info here. And after overhearing the front desk staff gossiping about and slandering patients on numerous occasions, I can say for certain that we will be looking for another vet.

We have been going here for 5 years with our cat Trixie. They are always very helpful. When Trixie was sick I called them , they told me to come right over now. They found she had a urinary tract infection. They gave her medicine and I took her home. The next day they called me to see how she was doing. We are very grateful for all they do. I know help is just a call away.

I particularly appreciate the approach of not doing tests that aren’t necessary. However, when they are needed, they explain why without pressure.

I can't recommend Parkway highly enough..... my family particularly my XL Frenchy named Franklin and I were devastated upon the departure of Dr. Higgins. Then it got even better! Hard to believe but Franklin has found his dog whisperer. We have been thrilled with Dr.Lisch . She can explain the most complicated things in a lay person's terms that make perfect sense even to me. We've had to go back to Angell for some specialty treatments for an inner ear infection when I left Angell , I was just as dumbfounded and broke as I recalled being with previous pets. One visit to Dr. Lisch and she spelled it all out so I understood exactly what was going to happen. She's not just an animal person she's a people person and I can't speak highly enough of her.

Extremely happy with this place. The doctors and their staff is exceptional. They truly care about your pet. Our little dog has made quite a few visits to this place ever since we adopted her from the shelter 2 months ago. Dr. Tanner has always seen her and we have been extremely happy with her. She always always calls to check up on your pet. Spends a lot of time answering all our questions and concerns. The doctors and the front office is very friendly, polite, caring, and as pet owner it's a great feeling to know that our little fur baby is in very good hands.Also a big THANK YOU to Lonie who did an amazing job with our little fur baby today during a procedure. Everything was explained to us in detail before and after the procedure. She was very well taken care of during the procedure and doing great at home now. I highly recommend this place!!

We had a veterinarian at this clinic for nearly 10 yrs. we were very happy with her compassionate and conservative approach to our pet's care. When we called for an appointment last week we were told she nolonger works there and they would not tell us where she practices. While we were always happy with the care, the front desk staff are not always friendly, we didn't particularly like The other veterinarian who we saw once for an urgent issue, and they have a complicated and annoying phone message system. Fortunately we located our veterinarian and have switched practices.

This is not a practice that appreciates the life of an animal. When someone that says they are dedicated to the life of animals, should always have the time I don't care when it is, especially during business hours. Don't even bother with them all they are going to do anyways is send you to Angel Memorial (ask me how I know)so go to them first don't even bother wasting time with parkway because they can't handle anything but a check up, if they can even do that right. How can you call yourself a vet when you couldn't even be bothered. This place is a disgrace to west Roxbury. If I could give them no stars I would. THANKS FOR NOTHING PARKWAY

My friend told me they were telling the old lady accross the street from him to bring her cat in all the time for nothing. He told me after he said something they stopped. I never believed that for a second. Now I do. Shame on you all.I have no problem "refreshing" they're memories either because it burns my a@# that I just paid $65 for the same thing. $1,400.00 or $65.00 you choose. I love this place and we love Dr. Breslin for saving our dog Spot.after a 10 day vacation, we returned home to find our dog was not feeling well.He got worse and we took him to Parkway.we were told that his kidneys were failing and it did not look good.Dr. Breslin said that it looked grim but she would do whatever it took.well a week after treatment, Spot is back to being himself. I have been to many vets with my past 5 pets and Parkway is by far the best. Ilene is unmatched in her knowledge and professionalism. Every time my pet has an emergency and is seen anywhere else I get a phone call within 24 hours to find out if my pet is ok and if the emergency service provider (Angel Mem Hospital for example) explained everything and if I need anything. That is the behavior of someone who wants to be your life long vet and she has been our trusted advisor through five pets and counting.

We have gone to Parkway Vet for many years. Sandy Higgins and all the supportive staff have been wonderful through good times and bad. They have treated our old and beloved Siamese cats and helped us choose the best dog to fit into our home / lifestyle. They have been very accommodating with emergencies. We are kind of needy pet owners and they are very patient and supportive. Beware of other animal clinics in West Roxbury!

I've been taking my 2 cats to this clinic for at least 8 years and have been VERY happy with their care. Where I had been going previously, there was no bedside manner. At this clinic, they genuinely care about my cats, they fawn over them, and are very responsive to my concerns. I also find the support staff to be very friendly and helpful. They always seem excited to see the cats when I bring them in! I would highly recommend this clinic.

As a newcomer to the area I thought it was just Boston-attitude that made the staff and vets at this clinic so unfriendly. However, after comparing stories with other folks I have found that there are more concerned vets out there. As another reviewer put it - the bed side manner was non-existant. How can you be a vet and not show compassion?? The place was recommended by a friend and that is why I tried them, but my advice would be to look elsewhere!

I can't give Sandy Higgins or her office staff enough praise. Sandy is technically the most experienced vet I have ever had. But what really sets her apart is her compassion for me and my dear old Siamese cat. Sandy pulled my cat out of sudden and severe heart failure, kidney stones with urinary obstruction, diabetes and chronic bronchitis. She was always supported me and I trust her judgement completely. I recently had to have my cat put to sleep and I am comforted by the fact everything was done within reason. My cat was given a dignified and humane exit form this world and for that I am truely grateful. Sandy and her staff were always so kind and understanding I will keep her as my vet forever!

Every one there is just money hungry doctors with no bedside manner what-so-ever! My new puppy was falling ill and rather than trying to comfort me they/she was just telling me that they could do whatever ... but he's going to die. It was as if he wasn't anything but a piece of trash. Their attitude was appauling.

Dr. Amanda O'Shes is a competent and caring Veterinarian. Both Bella, Parti Yorkie of 10 yrs, and Daisy, a Bichon Yorkie pup, have been well cared for. Need to ask about $$ for followup visits for shots. Seems to be wrongly priced. Followup at human healthcare outlets are not typically charged. Sure the shots, but not for the visit. Dr. O'Shea is great though.

The vets and staff are so helpful and caring. They went the extra mile for us when we moved out of town and needed our labs records sent to new vet. They called them and e/mailed her file within hours...
The vets and staff are so helpful and caring. They went the extra mile for us when we moved out of town and needed our labs records sent to new vet. They called them and e/mailed her file within hours without any issues. It was the easiest transfer we've had with any of our doctors offices. Thanks again for a friendly experience .

I am so sad to give a one star rating, as this has been the place we have taken our pets for a long time- whenever they needed to be seen, we came here. We were always very happy with this clinic, but last year, when our male cat needed to be seen, we noticed that things have changed. This hospital is all about the money now- they will try and get as much money out of you as possible; they don't even tell you what procedures they will be doing and how much that might cost you. Furthermore, they kept harassing us about rabies vaccines for an *indoor* cat, though they had no problem telling me I could scoop the litter while I was pregnant (note: pregnant women are generally told NOT to clean the litter, because of the chance of getting toxoplasmosis, which can be deadly to the fetus), because our cat is "merely an indoor cat and that only outdoor cats can transmit toxoplasmosis from the rodents they kill". Yeah, no. Conflicting info here. And after overhearing the front desk staff gossiping about and slandering patients on numerous occasions, I can say for certain that we will be looking for another vet.

We have been going here for 5 years with our cat Trixie. They are always very helpful. When Trixie was sick I called them , they told me to come right over now. They found she had a urinary tract infection. They gave her medicine and I took her home. The next day they called me to see how she was doing. We are very grateful for all they do. I know help is just a call away.

I particularly appreciate the approach of not doing tests that aren’t necessary. However, when they are needed, they explain why without pressure.

I can't recommend Parkway highly enough..... my family particularly my XL Frenchy named Franklin and I were devastated upon the departure of Dr. Higgins. Then it got even better! Hard to believe but Franklin has found his dog whisperer. We have been thrilled with Dr.Lisch . She can explain the most complicated things in a lay person's terms that make perfect sense even to me. We've had to go back to Angell for some specialty treatments for an inner ear infection when I left Angell , I was just as dumbfounded and broke as I recalled being with previous pets. One visit to Dr. Lisch and she spelled it all out so I understood exactly what was going to happen. She's not just an animal person she's a people person and I can't speak highly enough of her.

Extremely happy with this place. The doctors and their staff is exceptional. They truly care about your pet. Our little dog has made quite a few visits to this place ever since we adopted her from the shelter 2 months ago. Dr. Tanner has always seen her and we have been extremely happy with her. She always always calls to check up on your pet. Spends a lot of time answering all our questions and concerns. The doctors and the front office is very friendly, polite, caring, and as pet owner it's a great feeling to know that our little fur baby is in very good hands.Also a big THANK YOU to Lonie who did an amazing job with our little fur baby today during a procedure. Everything was explained to us in detail before and after the procedure. She was very well taken care of during the procedure and doing great at home now. I highly recommend this place!!

We had a veterinarian at this clinic for nearly 10 yrs. we were very happy with her compassionate and conservative approach to our pet's care. When we called for an appointment last week we were told she nolonger works there and they would not tell us where she practices. While we were always happy with the care, the front desk staff are not always friendly, we didn't particularly like The other veterinarian who we saw once for an urgent issue, and they have a complicated and annoying phone message system. Fortunately we located our veterinarian and have switched practices.

Don't go here. Don't ever have a emergency with your pet if they are going to close in an hour because they are to busy to help your animal because they are trying to go home. This is not a practice that appreciates the life of an animal. When someone that says they are dedicated to the life of animals, should always have the time I don't care when it is, especially during business hours. Don't even bother with them all they are going to do anyways is send you to Angel Memorial (ask me how I know)so go to them first don't even bother wasting time with parkway because they can't handle anything but a check up, if they can even do that right. How can you call yourself a vet when you couldn't even be bothered. This place is a disgrace to west Roxbury. If I could give them no stars I would. THANKS FOR NOTHING PARKWAY

These people charged me almost a thousand dollars and "tried" for another four hundred dollars for something they said they had no alternative treatment for.Well it seems there is an alternative, for sixty five dollars. My friend told me they were telling the old lady accross the street from him to bring her cat in all the time for nothing. He told me after he said something they stopped. I never believed that for a second. Now I do. Shame on you all.I have no problem "refreshing" they're memories either because it burns my a@# that I just paid $65 for the same thing. $1,400.00 or $65.00 you choose. I love this place and we love Dr. Breslin for saving our dog Spot.after a 10 day vacation, we returned home to find our dog was not feeling well.He got worse and we took him to Parkway.we were told that his kidneys were failing and it did not look good.Dr. Breslin said that it looked grim but she would do whatever it took.well a week after treatment, Spot is back to being himself. It's a miracle and the Dr is a miracle worker.the staff are so compassionate and kind. they felt our pain and joy.I am so grateful to them and would recommend Parkway and Dr. Breslin to anyone.it's a breath of fresh air to be affiliated to this amazing caring hospitalthank you a million times over

Best Ever! Everyone at Parkway is so caring and awesome. They are extremely helpful, and just want the best for your pet. Dr. Higgins is fantastic, I recommend her to everyone. Just today we had a little scare with Indy, I called Parkway, brought her right in, and even though it turned out she was aok, Dr. Higgins called me to check-in on her. Since then there have been not only regular check-ups but also emergency visits, the experience of which has led me to write a review with a confidence that Parkway Vet is a very reliable and trustable partner for us and will be so for you. They treat and take care of our small dog with quality care. I hope that they can keep the standard they already have and as long as they are quality-oriented, we would not need time to think about other vets. Thank you very much.

I have been to many vets with my past 5 pets and Parkway is by far the best. Ilene is unmatched in her knowledge and professionalism. Every time my pet has an emergency and is seen anywhere else I get a phone call within 24 hours to find out if my pet is ok and if the emergency service provider (Angel Mem Hospital for example) explained everything and if I need anything. That is the behavior of someone who wants to be your life long vet and she has been our trusted advisor through five pets and counting.

We have gone to Parkway Vet for many years. Sandy Higgins and all the supportive staff have been wonderful through good times and bad. They have treated our old and beloved Siamese cats and helped us choose the best dog to fit into our home / lifestyle. They have been very accommodating with emergencies. We are kind of needy pet owners and they are very patient and supportive. Beware of other animal clinics in West Roxbury!

I know the staff isnt always so friendly, but that isnt what really counts in selecting a vetrinarian

I've been taking my 2 cats to this clinic for at least 8 years and have been VERY happy with their care. Where I had been going previously, there was no bedside manner. At this clinic, they genuinely care about my cats, they fawn over them, and are very responsive to my concerns. I also find the support staff to be very friendly and helpful. They always seem excited to see the cats when I bring them in! I would highly recommend this clinic.

As a newcomer to the area I thought it was just Boston-attitude that made the staff and vets at this clinic so unfriendly. However, after comparing stories with other folks I have found that there are more concerned vets out there. As another reviewer put it - the bed side manner was non-existant. How can you be a vet and not show compassion?? The place was recommended by a friend and that is why I tried them, but my advice would be to look elsewhere!

I can't give Sandy Higgins or her office staff enough praise. Sandy is technically the most experienced vet I have ever had. But what really sets her apart is her compassion for me and my dear old Siamese cat. Sandy pulled my cat out of sudden and severe heart failure, kidney stones with urinary obstruction, diabetes and chronic bronchitis. She was always supported me and I trust her judgement completely. I recently had to have my cat put to sleep and I am comforted by the fact everything was done within reason. My cat was given a dignified and humane exit form this world and for that I am truely grateful. Sandy and her staff were always so kind and understanding I will keep her as my vet forever!

Every one there is just money hungry doctors with no bedside manner what-so-ever! My new puppy was falling ill and rather than trying to comfort me they/she was just telling me that they could do whatever ... but he's going to die. It was as if he wasn't anything but a piece of trash. Their attitude was appauling.
