Front desk staff were polite and professional. Check-in and check-out were both fast. The waiting room has a separated area for dogs and cats, which was nice. The veterinarian and her assistant were both really nice and made my dog feel comfortable...also gave him a few treats and some peanut butter which he definitely loved. They answered all of my questions, addressed the few concerns I had, and made some helpful suggestions regarding my dog's continued well-being . The prices they charged were more than fair (been to A LOT of vets over the years so I have a good basis for comparison here). The facility itself was well maintained on both the outside and inside, as were the grounds. There is more than enough parking. Easy five stars. Read Less

The Veterinarians, staff and business manager whom I have all met are wonderful. I have been taking my dogs there (not the same one ) since the clinic opened many years ago. They are all caring professionals and you can tell they all love animals. They helped me get through a hard time I was having financially by waiting quite a while for the payment. I had to put down our 7 year old guinea pig a few weeks ago. I have never met such caring and compassionate people. They provided information and constant support throughout the process. If we ever have another pocket pet I would certainly take them to Bristol County. Read Less

We have been coming here for two years and are very pleased with the service.  Yes, it's a little more expensive than other vets but it's worth it.  Dr. Richards is great, she really takes her time with the exams and you don't feel rushed. I moved to Seekonk 25 years ago and have been bringing my dogs to Bristol County for that same amount of time. My dogs even like going there. You can tell they all love animals by the way they treat your dog. Another good feature is they have separate dog and cat waiting areas. I would never go anywhere else.Read Less

We recently adopted a dog and was given a lot of options for local vets to choose from to get a free exam. We chose this placed based on a good reviews and wanted the best care and to take advantage of the free visit and to establish a good relationship. The vet assistant was fairly knowledgable, but she recommended purina dog food and royal canin, which if you do research, contains some bad stuff like chicken by product! Royal canin is also more expensive than blue buffalo, which is a very good brand fyi. The vet was just too dry for our taste barely explaining anything in good detail we asked her. We had questions on a few vacinations and she hardly provided enough info! One of the vacines is actuaslly highly recommended for small dogs, which we have. We found out later when asking our friend who is studying to become a vet.Not sure if we got subpar exam and advice due to the fact we didnt have to pay for it?! Thats too bad if so. I certainly will not return and actual pay for this lack of help. I could have looked up the info and advice we received on google for free! It would have actually been better advice like choosing a good dog food brand for example and what to look out for in the formula. I wish this kind of review existed before I decided. The last good review was almost a year ago...go figure. Moving on to another vet, learned a leason to do some better research next time! Read Less

I had taken my dog there for about 2 years and actually bordered him there once. Clean, friendly, seemed compassionate. But..... when my dog injured his knee and needed an emergency visit , I was told to take him to the animal ER in Seekonk. It was on a Monday, during the day and they could not  fit him in. They said I could drop him off in the morning on Tuesday and they would do there best to get him seem that day. So being a client there means nothing. After having a terrible first vet visit with my new puppy I did a lot of research to find a new vet. After researching and some great recommendations tonight we visited Bristol County Vet, and I could not be happier. From the moment we walked in the door every single staff member was friendly and took time to say hello to us and our pup. The Doctor and her assistant got on the floor with our pup and played with her, answered all our (crazy new puppy parent) questions and made us and our pup feel very comfortable. The best vet hospital I have had the chance to use. They are very professional and friendly. I had a bad experience at providence river animal hospital because they charge an arm and a leg for poor servicend. This vet's prices are reasonable. I was given 3 options for vets to take our adopted kitten...when I came across the ratings BCVH, I knew I had to bring our kitten there. We had scheduled an appointment for a Saturday but the Thursday before we called because our kitten looked like her stitching was opening. They were not able to take her but recommended us to a near by E.R. The following day after our E.R. visit, BCVH called to check up on our kitten! Which was amazing because they actually have that true compassion and genuine concern for the animals. When we finally went to the appointment for Saturday, the staff and doctor were all so sweet and welcoming to us. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the building were outstanding, the staff were great and our kitten got so much love from everyone that she left purring like there was no tomorrow. The Bristol County Veterinary Hospital  is just that... a veterinary hospital not just a veterinary office, a place where you will have all your pet's needs met.  BCVH is exceptionally clean, bright and comfortable. Staff receive on-going in-service training several times a month and it has convenient hours of operation: early morning and evening hours too!  All team members are knowledgable and familiar with your pets (they not only their names but temperaments and personalities as well).  Laurel, one of the great receptionists, knows how nervous our oldest dog, Clyde, is and schedules him accordingly... Upon arrival, Gillian, the vet tech, constantly comforts and reassures Clyde, always going the extra mile!The costs may be slightly higher than average; however, the attention to detail far out-weighs the difference in price.  Sometimes there is a wait, again the extra time spent when needed is much appreciated. Estimates always provided for procedures and surgeries.  My husband and I have been a clients for many years and have gone from puppy's first shots to having to making the difficult decision to say 'good-bye' to our beloved16 year old 'baby', Samantha.  We've also dealt with having one of our dogs diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which was devastating and completely unexpected.  The BCVH team helped us seamlessly navigate the treatment needed with NEVOG (oncology specialist in Waltham, MA) to extend Bonnie's life with quality and dignity far beyond the initial time frame expected.  During this emotional process, Dr. Ripp ALWAYS took the time to carefully and fully explain processes, procedures, and medications.  We are forever grateful for the support provided during this period. My cat lived to 15 years through the expert and compassionate care provided by Dr. Amy and her staff. I found them all to be professional and caring during his last days. Without their guidance and assistance he would have died years earlier, as he was very ill. They were able to keep him comfortable to enjoy his last days. I have been bringing my dogs to BCVH for several years. A couple have had some serious medical issues during this time. Each time we have gone, the doctors have taken their time, reviewed my list of symptoms, evaluated my dogs and spent time looking them over and researching the issues at hand.Even routine care is done carefully and methodically. I don't feel like I am being rushed out for the next appointment. They have never tried to sell me special products or services nor have they guilted me in to paying for a procedure I could not afford at the time. Everything is upfront and honest.
