Went here for an emergancy. My dog got hit by two cars and I was beside myself with fear. My fiance had to bring my baby in. They took him in right away and checked him over. Turns out he just ran into the first car and got side swiped by the second and didn't even break a bone!
Only giving 4 stars because i had to fight them for an xray to make sure that there were no broken bones

I only have great things to say about Dr. Fagerquist and her staff. My 18 year old cat needed extensive dental work. Understandably, because of his age I was very concerned with the anesthesia, etc. Tiger did remarkably well. The veterinary technician, Brittany was extremely informative, as is the entire staff. Dr. Fagerquist is an extremely intelligent, compassionate, talented veterinarian. She treats the animals as if they were her own pets, what would she do in this instance if it were her pet? Tiger ended up having 9 teeth removed. He was eating canned food that evening, stitches and all. No vomiting, as he had been given an injection for nausea, an antibiotic shot and buprenex for pain. He seems much happier and can now eat, pain free. My other cat is having a dental cleaning next week. Happy cat mom.

Dr. Fagerquist and staff are nothing short of amazing. We had an emergency situation, our vet was closed and they accommodated us with no hesitation. Unfortunately our dog didn't make it but the outpouring of support and compassion make this healing process a little easier knowing he was in caring hands. We are very grateful for the treatment they provided including sympathy cards, paw prints and prayer cards. Highly recommend.

To whom it may concern,
My name is Jeff Russell and my Girlfriend's name is Brittney Girouard. Yesterday, (11/9/2016) we brought her dog Cora in for an exam, and I just wanted to mention how wonderful of an experience all three of us had. Right away we were greeted by two very kind lady's that worked in the receptionist area whom assisted us during the intake process (which was very quick). This being my first time at the vet, I was unsure of how Cora would behave. These women made it such a pleasant experience for Cora, They gave her treats and much appreciated attention. Cora was so excited the whole time, it reminded me of how I felt when my mom used to let me roam around the play area in the local McDonald's. It was a sight to see.
I would also like to mention the Veterinarian that seen us. Within 5 seconds of her entering the room, you can see how much she cares about animals. Her level of professionalism and friendliness is something that needs to be recognized. I do apologize, I did not get her name or the receptionists, but will make it a point to the next time I'm there.
One of the parts of the appointment that stuck out the most was when the vet mentioned that it said in her notes that "Cora loves kisses". Brittney and I were very happy to hear that aside from all the normal notes (shots,exams,sickness ect.), that you guys would take the time to write down a positive note in her file.
Overall, this was such a wonderful experience for Cora, Brittney, and myself. Everyone there is so kind, friendly, professional, super personable, and everyone is extremely genuine and caring to the animals. We don't usually write reviews on anything but Spencer Veterinary Hospital definitely deserves some recognition. We are looking forward to our next trip there which will be for our cat Wren. We might even have to bring Cora in to say hi to everyone.

Dr Fagerquist and staff have been taking care of my dogs since they were puppies. I credit Dr Fagerquist for saving the life of our rescue puppy, who was diagnosed with Pythiosis at Tufts. It has been two years now and Maya is a normal, energetic, playful dog! We visit Spencer Vet every month for blood work. My dog is happy to see the vet techs and loves the attention she gets from John in reception and anyone else she can charm! Dr Fagerquist always follows up our visits with a phone call which is always appreciated. I have never had to drag my dogs to the vet, they love it there.

Compassionate AND high-tech. Dr. Fagerquist and staff value modern technology and cutting edge training. I was very impressed when I learned of this, and it aligned perfectly with the special service that our senior cat received (he's doing great!). We plan to load all the pets into the vehicle a couple times a yr to drive up from Prov, RI and have'm all cared for at Spencer Vet.

I had 3 large dogs over the age of 10 pass away on me in 2015. Every time it was a emergency 2 bloodhounds with cancer and a Great Dane with no control of his hind quarters. Every time I called the spencer veterinary clinic they were there for me and my pets, to put them down with dignity and sympathy for my loss of a very valued and always spoiled family member. I never had to wait I never had to argue that it was the time to let go they did not want to run a hundred tests to determine if it was the right time. They were compassionate and caring and what else could you ask for in a time of total sorrow. I will continue to bring my one remaining dog to them for the rest of his life and hopefully when the time comes for him to leave me Annie and Jen will still be there to clean the tears off the floor.

I just came from this vet. The vet clearly knew upon a rectal exam, and stated so, that she thought my dog had prostate cancer. Then they charged me for a distemper shot and a rabies shot, even though I told them our budget was tight. Why would they do that when they already had a strong suspicion that the dog was at the end of his life. They did everything in their power to crank up the bill including an unbelievably unethical implication: the secretary said that if you "buy their Frontline that they will guarantee your pet." This is suggesting that other Frontline suppliers don't sell the real thing; it further suggest that they can actually guarantee an animals life to some degree. WHAAAAAT? This Vet shouldn't' be licensed to sell anything but "snake oil" Caveat Emptor! When it comes to this service "Buyer Beware."

Don't count on them in an emergency........
My dog got slapped in the face by a porcupine, I go there damn near beside myself worried about getting those quills out ASAP. They couldn't do anything for me because they had "appointments." I even asked for forceps so I could pull the quills myself and they couldn't do that for me.
They were nice enough to phone ahead to another veterinarian practice we wound up going to and I'm lucky the injuries my dog had were not life threatening.
I guess the moral of the story is if your pet gets seriously injured and you're going to that particular practice, make sure to phone them and set up an appointment a week or two ahead of time or you'll be S.O.L.

I only have great things to say about Dr. Fagerquist and her staff. My 18 year old cat needed extensive dental work. Understandably, because of his age I was very concerned with the anesthesia, etc. Tiger did remarkably well. The veterinary technician, Brittany was extremely informative, as is the entire staff. Dr. Fagerquist is an extremely intelligent, compassionate, talented veterinarian. She treats the animals as if they were her own pets, what would she do in this instance if it were her pet? Tiger ended up having 9 teeth removed. He was eating canned food that evening, stitches and all. No vomiting, as he had been given an injection for nausea, an antibiotic shot and buprenex for pain. He seems much happier and can now eat, pain free. My other cat is having a dental cleaning next week. Happy cat mom.

Dr. Fagerquist and staff are nothing short of amazing. We had an emergency situation, our vet was closed and they accommodated us with no hesitation. Unfortunately our dog didn't make it but the outpouring of support and compassion make this healing process a little easier knowing he was in caring hands. We are very grateful for the treatment they provided including sympathy cards, paw prints and prayer cards. Highly recommend.

To whom it may concern,
My name is Jeff Russell and my Girlfriend's name is Brittney Girouard. Yesterday, (11/9/2016) we brought her dog Cora in for an exam, and I just wanted to mention how wonderful of an experience all three of us had. Right away we were greeted by two very kind lady's that worked in the receptionist area whom assisted us during the intake process (which was very quick). This being my first time at the vet, I was unsure of how Cora would behave. These women made it such a pleasant experience for Cora, They gave her treats and much appreciated attention. Cora was so excited the whole time, it reminded me of how I felt when my mom used to let me roam around the play area in the local McDonald's. It was a sight to see.
I would also like to mention the Veterinarian that seen us. Within 5 seconds of her entering the room, you can see how much she cares about animals. Her level of professionalism and friendliness is something that needs to be recognized. I do apologize, I did not get her name or the receptionists, but will make it a point to the next time I'm there.
One of the parts of the appointment that stuck out the most was when the vet mentioned that it said in her notes that "Cora loves kisses". Brittney and I were very happy to hear that aside from all the normal notes (shots,exams,sickness ect.), that you guys would take the time to write down a positive note in her file.
Overall, this was such a wonderful experience for Cora, Brittney, and myself. Everyone there is so kind, friendly, professional, super personable, and everyone is extremely genuine and caring to the animals. We don't usually write reviews on anything but Spencer Veterinary Hospital definitely deserves some recognition. We are looking forward to our next trip there which will be for our cat Wren. We might even have to bring Cora in to say hi to everyone.

Dr Fagerquist and staff have been taking care of my dogs since they were puppies. I credit Dr Fagerquist for saving the life of our rescue puppy, who was diagnosed with Pythiosis at Tufts. It has been two years now and Maya is a normal, energetic, playful dog! We visit Spencer Vet every month for blood work. My dog is happy to see the vet techs and loves the attention she gets from John in reception and anyone else she can charm! Dr Fagerquist always follows up our visits with a phone call which is always appreciated. I have never had to drag my dogs to the vet, they love it there.

Compassionate AND high-tech. Dr. Fagerquist and staff value modern technology and cutting edge training. I was very impressed when I learned of this, and it aligned perfectly with the special service that our senior cat received (he's doing great!). I had 3 large dogs over the age of 10 pass away on me in 2015. Every time it was a emergency 2 bloodhounds with cancer and a Great Dane with no control of his hind quarters. Every time I called the spencer veterinary clinic they were there for me and my pets, to put them down with dignity and sympathy for my loss of a very valued and always spoiled family member. I never had to wait I never had to argue that it was the time to let go they did not want to run a hundred tests to determine if it was the right time. They were compassionate and caring and what else could you ask for in a time of total sorrow. I will continue to bring my one remaining dog to them for the rest of his life and hopefully when the time comes for him to leave me Annie and Jen will still be there to clean the tears off the floor.

I just came from this vet. The vet clearly knew upon a rectal exam, and stated so, that she thought my dog had prostate cancer. Then they charged me for a distemper shot and a rabies shot, even though I told them our budget was tight. Why would they do that when they already had a strong suspicion that the dog was at the end of his life. They did everything in their power to crank up the bill including an unbelievably unethical implication: the secretary said that if you "buy their Frontline that they will guarantee your pet." This is suggesting that other Frontline suppliers don't sell the real thing; it further suggest that they can actually guarantee an animals life to some degree. WHAAAAAT? This Vet shouldn't' be licensed to sell anything but "snake oil" Caveat Emptor! When it comes to this service "Buyer Beware."

My dog got slapped in the face by a porcupine, I go there damn near beside myself worried about getting those quills out ASAP. They couldn't do anything for me because they had "appointments." I even asked for forceps so I could pull the quills myself and they couldn't do that for me.
They were nice enough to phone ahead to another veterinarian practice we wound up going to and I'm lucky the injuries my dog had were not life threatening.
I guess the moral of the story is if your pet gets seriously injured and you're going to that particular practice, make sure to phone them and set up an appointment a week or two ahead of time or you'll be S.O.L.
