i have a cat that i love more then life,,,and he is little over weight 28lbs.. big cat he just turned 13 and i get so scared that u know.... ty god is his healthy but this staff is unreal all of them ..i bring him in every 3 months now just in case and all i can say dr chiminello sorry if misspelled.and in the past 2 years i know will misspell this 1 rofl ,,dr dgetluck yes i did know d be4 the g but anyway sorry side tracked,,,, are the bestttttttttttt as is every 1 there and God bless you all for what u do,,,, from jay the owner of nikki the 30lb big boy and if he could talk, he say same thing.. very kind and gentle.....thank you but it is jay the owner of nikki i dont know y said keith... and to bruce so sorry to hear about your cat but u have to understand when u put cat under always risk.. my boy is 30lbs and i would never put him under.. They put my cat under sedation.never warning us of any side effects. He died on the table. They brought him back. He was blind for three days, and couldn't keep his balance. He is better now, but he will never be the same. There were other options, and had they warned us if the dangers if ketamine, which is what they gave him. We would have chosen to go another route! My dog ate a pencil and I brought him there. I learned they are appointment only but they managed to squeeze us in. The pricing is reasonable and my dog is fine. I am very happy with the care that my dog received. Read Less

East Springfield Veterinary Hospital is wonderful. The staff (vets, techs, and front desk) are all wonderful and kind and helpful and thoughtful. They strike a good balance between being price conscious and up front about costs, and pursuing useful tests and referrals. They saw us when we were in the area for an extended visit and one dog started vomiting daily; other area vets wouldn't take a patient for the six months we were here. This place is amazing. Best vet I've seen ever! Started with having to put my dog down. We drove up everyone was very nice gave us a side door and we met a young man named "Jon" he was beyond empathetic making it much easier on me and my family. He listened to us as we cried and reminisced. Then Dr. Hersman was the perfect amount of caring and compassionate. We never felt rushed and felt that we were important to them. I have nothing but good things to say about ESVH. The vet techs are extremely patient, friendly, and helpful. When I got my first dog I was nervous and probably overreacted to a lot of situations but the staff at ESVH was always there to calm me down and put my mind at ease. My dogs love doing there because they get to see all of their vet tech "friends"  who are always ready to come greet them and give them the attention that they love. Dr. Hersman is the best! Very knowledgeable and also extremely sympathetic to your pets' needs. He's personally followed up with a phone call after many appointments to check in on my dogs.
