The evening of July 30, 2018 my cat Pooter started wheezing. The next day my 19 year old daughter brought him to this "clinic" for treatment while I brought my younger child to a dr appt. They took xr...
The evening of July 30, 2018 my cat Pooter started wheezing. The next day my 19 year old daughter brought him to this "clinic" for treatment while I brought my younger child to a dr appt. They took xrays and my daughter was told he had fluid around his lungs and bring him to Tufts. Our house is 15 minutes from the vet. Pooter stopped breathing twice on her way home to meet me to rush him to tufts. 10 minutes after we left Pooter died a horrible miserable way in my car. All the research I have done, and talking to 2 different vets, 1 from tufts, both said had the vet at sterling vca expressed some fluid from his plural cavity around his lungs we would have made it to tufts and my baby boy would have AT LEAST had a fighting chance! These people murdered my cat with their neglect and not providing appropriate treatment to him. And they had the nerve to charge my daughter $265! My cat suffocated to death because they did not remove fluid to allow his lungs to expand! My 17 and 19 year olds witnessed our baby boy die in a inhumane way that WAS preventable. They didnt even have the decency to tell my daughter he may not make it to give me the choice to put him down humanely. Those people dont deserve to practice on animals. They told my kids father when he called that " he most likely wouldn't have made the car ride anyway, it was to stressful " so you let a TEENAGER leave with an animal that you didnt even TRY to save? Do you even care how your negligence not only killed a family member but my kids are having nightmares? I hope everyone reads this and sees how you run that office!

Been going here for 30 years. Staff is friendly compassionate and curteous. Over the years, and 5 dogs later, I have had several of the vets here and have always found them to be empathetic first but also clear and concise in their recommendations. I have recommended friends' pets with complicated/"mysterious" illness or injuries and have always been thanked with relief for doing so. I know other people find them expensive - you get what you pay for. This is a gushing review, but they really are excellent and 5 stars easy.

These guys are wonderful. They pulled a nasty bunch of Porcupine quills out of my pup and did a wonderful job caring for her. Billed me quite reasonably as well. Every time I go there they treat us...
These guys are wonderful. They pulled a nasty bunch of Porcupine quills out of my pup and did a wonderful job caring for her. Billed me quite reasonably as well. Every time I go there they treat us like gold, and my dog likes going... imagine that. They are practical with running diagnostics/tests and have kept my puppy very healthy. Thanks Sterling VCA!

I brought my cat in to get checked because he had stomach pain and vomiting for a few days. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything too serious. He had crystals before. It ended up that he was fine and perfectly healthy. I was billed ~$600 at the desk.
A heads-up on the ridiculous cost of one X-ray, a physical checkup, and a blood test would have been a nice gesture.

The best vet clinic ever!!! I used to be a vet tech and worked at numerous vet clinics and she is by far the best. Don't expect any sugar coating (which I like honesty) from her, she will tell you like it is, however she will tell you just what you need nothing more. She is not trying to squeeze every penny outta you which is not only detrimental to your wallet but may be to your pet as well. Would recommend to anyone!

Over the years, and 5 dogs later, I have had several of the vets here and have always found them to be empathetic first but also clear and concise in their recommendations. I have recommended friends' pets with complicated/"mysterious" illness or injuries and have always been thanked with relief for doing so. Don't expect any sugar coating (which I like honesty) from her, she will tell you like it is, however she will tell you just what you need nothing more. She is not trying to squeeze every penny outta you which is not only detrimental to your wallet but may be to your pet as well. Would recommend to anyone!
