Taunton Cat Hospital is awesome! Although today was only my first time there, I won't be taking my kitties anywhere else. Everyone I spoke to were so sweet and caring. The office and exam rooms were very clean and modern, I felt comfortable instantly. I went in for some concerning issues with my boy and the doctor did everything she could in a single visit to find out what was wrong and to make him feel better. Though it was a little pricey, it's worth every penny to make sure that your fur baby is happy and healthy. I couldn't be more pleased with the care and service I received today. Read Less

I brought my cat here for the very for time today. It was her annual checkup/shots and I couldn't be more pleased with the staff and service. From the second you walk in, the waiting area is very calming. Everyone- Claudia at the front desk, Jess, and Dr. Z--were amazing!The staff were patient and answered my million crazy cat lady questions! :)After finding a small area of concern, I asked about possible future dental services. They explained options and gave me an estimated cost of the service but also gave me alternative treatments to try first. I felt genuine care for my pet and I did not feel rushed through my visit. I have been bringing my cat here for three years and have never ever had a bad experience. They will always fit you in. Everyone from the receptionist to the vet techs to the vets are so incredibly nice, helpful and friendly. You know a place is good when they treat you like a human. To us cat owners, our cats are our children. When I got some bad news about one of my cats, they were so kind and sympathetic- they explained everything in detail and helped me understand options and next steps. More importantly, they showed compassion and empathy. You know when you are waiting for test results and it feels like 5,000 years, eating you alive? I'll never go back.  I took my cat here a while back when he was injured.  Dr. Trowel seemed really uncomfortable handling him, which was weird to me as I chose this hospital since they are specifically a cat hospital and i thought they'd be even more comfortable than most others.  When the doctor left the exam room I asked Tiffany a question about the medications and she was extremely rude and condescending to me.  I have never been treated so poorly at a vet and I warn all my friends and family not to go here.  Awful. The previous owner Dr. Horvath and her staff were exceptional. Had an emergency with my 6 newborn kittens with eye infections and although near their closing hour told me to come on down. This after my local vet hospital refused me for that reason.. Now with the new owner and staff they've maintained that level of care and compassion. Read Less

The Taunton Cat Hospital has the most knowledgeable and compassionate staffing they treat your cat as if they are their own.  I have 4 cats and have been going to the cat hospital for years I would not go any where else I have and would recommend to any one.   I would give them more than a 5 star rating! I don't usually write such long detailed reviews, but I feel passionate about this place... I brought my cat in because she fell deathly ill essentially over night. They did blood work, chest X-rays, and started my cat on meds. It ended up being that my cat either has FIP or lymphoma. I really appreciated them being honest with me, letting me know that if it's in fact FIP, there is no cure for it so I would be wasting thousands of dollars on a test just to have no way of curing it if the results were positive. They started a treatment that would help with both possibilities, although FIP will mean she passes sooner than later. I had a scare where I had to rush my cat in thinking I was going to be told to put her down. The second I made the call, they told me to bring my cat in right away and she immediately saw the vet. They have truly been amazing towards me and my cat through this whole illness. Every member of the staff that I have interacted with has been so knowledgeable and compassionate. My baby Boots is still fighting the good fight and I have no doubt that she's in the best of hands every time I bring her in.Read Less

When I got my first two kitties ( Brothers). I didn't want to bring them to a regular vet place. It's hard not to bring a cat to the vet place what it smells like a dog, So I was looking for a place that did just cats. Taunton Cat Hospital has great staff, always give me an advice for my cats. One of my boys is a long-haired cat, and he needed a trimming on the back, I went to different places and they were charging a lot of money. Taunton Cat did it for a good price and my cat felt more comfortable there.When I needed a babysitter to take care of the cats they have Great people that come to feed, change the litter, and make sure the cats are happy.For any cat lover, I choose Taunton Cat Hospital as my number one choice. I can't say enough good things about the Taunton Cat Hospital.As a disclaimer-- I am very picky about my veterinarian. I work in the animal care industry, and I am currently in vet tech school, so I have high standards. My cats have been to more than one vet (one vet misdiagnosed my senior cat), and Taunton Cat Hospital is far and away the best.Dr. Horvath, Dr. Lovelace and the rest of the staff clearly care about the animals they are treating. They have been nothing but kind and caring to my cats (I have three), and always give good advice. They are also not the type of vet to overcharge you or try and make you over vaccinate your pet. They explain the pros and cons of everything, always go over all costs, and make everything reasonable for their clients.I have a senior cat, and recently we removed a tumor from her neck. Making the decision to remove the tumor (it was benign but affecting her over all health) was a year long process of trying everything possible before resorting to surgery. I don't think many vets would have worked with me so well. And when it did come down to surgery as the only option, they took such great care of her. Her health has vastly improved since.I live 30 minutes away and take my dog to a local vet, but I would never take my cats anywhere else. I called today because my cat was just laying there not moving much with a very bloated belly they told me to come down immediately. Unfortunately there was nothing they could do for my Tony we had to put him down Jane and the Doctor where so compassionate with my cat and us I will not forget this the Dr was just as upset as me and I want to thank her for that he will be greatly missed Read Less

I've been bringing my cats here for 15+ years. I recommend them to everyone and everyone that has gone there are very pleased and are still clients.   I drive a half hour with a yowling cat when there are vets less than a mile from my house because they are that good.   They have correctly diagnosed issues with two family member's cats after they have been misdiagnosed by other vets.   They are thorough, friendly and professional.   I highly recommend Dr. Horvath and her staff.
