Our experience at Canterbury Tails was mixed. It was great that they were able to see our two cats quickly and were not backed up. The staff was polite. Our problems began with test results that were first positive than not positive for one of our cat's thyroid. The Vets pricing was exorbitant and though they said they were a holistic clinic, we saw no sign of anything of that. The medication given to both cats was prescription drugs, and they were both on weeks of medication to no avail. One of my babies developed a severe urinary problem, was passing blood clots and began straining for hours to pee, and peeing everywhere. She could barely walk any longer. She either urinated everywhere or urinated in huge quantities. She fell when she attempted urinating, and had lost nearly all the muscle tone in her hindquarters. When she became unresponsive for a while, between urinating, even though she had been on medication for nearly six weeks, we decided that it was not fair to her to attempt to keep her alive, while she continued to suffer, and that it would be heartless and cruel of us to do so. The Vet at this clinic refused to help us let her go. She wanted to put her on other medication, more medication, more tests and when we refused, she insulted my wife and said they do not ever put an animal down.We were new in the area and had to seek another vet to help us, so our beloved baby did not continue to suffer. It appears that the only thing holistic about this Vet is that they will keep the animal alive by any means, through any pain until it dies.We found a new veterinarian, that helped our other baby with one shot get over a chronic sinus infection that she had since we rescued her. Whereas with Canterbury Tails, they had continued to treat her with weeks of medication (2 different ones) that cleared it up, but it came back within a few days of her finishing the medication. After we had switched Vets, and our beloved baby was gone, we did receive a sympathy note from Canterbury Tails, that contained more insults from the vet.If you love your babies as we do, but do not want to see them have to suffer when their time has come. Do not use this clinic!!! Read Less
