The other is RI which is 60 miles away. Never mind they never mentioned the place in Shrewsbury which is closer. Unprofessional. Unprepared. Understaffed. Try DOUGLAS animal hospital instead.

Took our deathly ill cat here and everyone was fantastic! They worked really hard to help her. Dr.Gellar has an awesome bedside manner as do all of the technicians. They had no problem keeping us in the loop with everything . Where another vet may have forced certain things ( like surgery and overnighting at Tufts) they tried to avoid them. They saved our girls life and I'm so thankful to them!

My cat passed away and I had taken her there to be cremated (they go through an outside source). They seemed nice, brought her sister in and they tried selling this flea medicine non stop. They pushed things that I don't believe are Paleolithic enough for a felines safety. I'm more organic and I found the vet to be a bit.... off.

We were in the market for a dog and got in touch with a rescue. We decided on Webster Lake for our vet. They explained what was needed after listening to what we wanted to accomplish with the dog. Extra shots needed but we understood why. Didn't want to take a chance.I had issues getting him back into my car. They were nice enough to try to help me. Treats, Lovins, even a ramp. I guess the shots in the rump made him sore. About an hour of walking around and he jumped right up.Unfortunately our dog got sick a year later. I love this office because they are up front with you. You can do this or that and you costs could be this. We support any decision you the owner decide. Will definitely use them when I get a new pet.

My first experience with Webster Lake Veterinary Hospital was a few years go, when I first moved into the area. One of my dogs was ill, I had called a few other vets in the area, with no results. Never even managed to get an appt! My friend recommended that I call her vet...so glad I did! The ladies here bent over backwards to get me in ASAP (my work hours make things a bit difficult )
I was greeted like a long lost friend, made to feel right at home. The problem was quickly diagnosed and the proper meds prescribed. A very complete explanation of what to expect, what reactions to look for was given. Happy to say that in 3 days time, my baby girl was doing much better! I have not wasted my time with any other Veterinary place, everyone there loves my furbabies, and my dogs LOVE all of them! They are kissed and cuddled and treated like family...what's not to like? The combination of professionalism combined with a true love of all animals is very obvious here. I am not alone in my thinking, judging by the plethora of goodies being brought in this past Christmas by other very happy furbabie parents! :)

From the technician to the veterinarian the entire staff is either afraid of dogs or insulting to owners. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR ANIMALS HEED MY WARNING AND DO NOT BRING THEM HERE.

I had an EXCELLENT experience at Webster Lake Vet. I was on vacation with my boyfriend's family when my dog needed to go to the vet. We were not established patients at Webster Lake Vet, yet they got us in to be seen less than twenty minutes after we called. They could have easily just told us to spend our time, gas, and tons of extra money at the emergency hospital, given that it was 11am on a Saturday, but they were as kind as can be. As soon as we walked in, they ushered us into a room - everyone being extremely nice - and we were seen in less than five minutes. As a young pet owner, I often face vets who assume the worst of me and my ability to care for my dog, and I felt SO respected here. I know that I will tell my boyfriend's family to use this vet if they ever need to take a pet in while at the lake, and I encourage everyone in the Webster area to do the same!

After the fact my cat Comet had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and had to be brought back in. The employees stayed late to care for him running test for quite a while and then again the next day kept him for observation. I took my two year old female cat here when looking for a vet's office closer to home. The prices for care were very reasonable. When I explained I want the best care for my cat, but that I was a student and on a limited budget, the receptionist even gave me a discounted rate. The staff was helpful and kind. On another occasion a few months later, my cat was bitten by another cat and had an infected, oozing wound. I called the vets office and they made an appointment for me quickly. I highly recommend this vet's office.
