I've been working with the vets at Wellesley Animal Hospital for about five years. Up until mid-2018, I was very pleased with the quality of their service. Since then, the problem has been addressed, and Dr. Hedges joined their practice. She is truly a gift. Warm, caring and very professional. Her diagnosis and treatment of my dog was spot on. 24 hours later my dog is back to normal. I've had 7 dogs and worked with three different vet clinics in my life. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wellesley Animal Hospital to anyone seeking a reliable vet.

Wellesley Animal Hospital really cares about my rabbit. Even though I'm moving to the North Shore soon, I will be making the drive to Wellesley for any veterinary needs. Dr. Hartman is extremely knowledgable about rabbits and I completely trust my little guy in her care. They took in my bunny overnight when he was sick and even played with him and gave him belly massages to soothe his digestive pain. Not only that, they are affordable. I am always pleasantly surprised when I get the bill!

After going to Angell here in JP where I live for years with my other dog, I got a new dog that was already established here. I've been going to them now with her for almost four years and I really love it here. First of all, the personable attention you get upon walking in the door is second to none. And they don't charge you an arm and a leg for services. For routine stuff, this is the place to go. I do still think of Angell as my go to for more serious matters, as they have specialists and seem to be more thorough in general. But I will keep my dog at Wellesley in the meantime. They are like family here.

They really are as good as it gets. I wasn't happy with the vet I was using in Needham and switched when I was at this location with a friend. They are thoughtful, careful, respectful and incredibly kind. Because my last vet didn't just drop the ball, but dropped it and then kicked it, I had to put my dog to sleep today. The people in the office here took the time to explain everything and they didn't rush me into anything. they helped me understand what was going on with my dog. I miss him more than words can say but the only thing that made it bearable was the level of compassion and professionalism I received here. They talk to you like you are a person, not like you are a block of time.

She was super compassionate when she told me my first dog had a tumor. I am not a fan of the other vets in the practice. They have mis-diagnosed (heart problem, etc) and said they the dog needs an expensive (EKG) test come to find out nothing was wrong in the first place. I just continue to make appointments with Dr. Hartman only.

I have been taking my cats and dog to Wellesley Animal Hospital for 14 years and cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hartman, Dr. Tast, Dr. Jeffers, and the entire staff. Not only are they extremely competent and knowledgeable, but they are also caring and compassionate. They listen to you; they explain diagnoses and treatments in as much detail as you need, and they are wonderful with the animals. I drive 45 minutes to go there. I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone.

Wellesley Animal Hospital is wonderful! I drive my rabbits all the way from downtown Boston because I completely trust them there. They take such good care of them and are always willing to talk to us if we are worried about something. In addition, we board our rabbits there when we go on vacation and everyone there is so sweet! They know our rabbits by name and love having them come in. I completely trust that they are well cared for when they are there (much more so than when we have had people come feed them once or twice during the day) because they are held, played with, and fed regularly throughout the day. Unless I move out of the Boston area, I won't bring pets anywhere else, even with the long drive.

Most experiences we have had with veterinary offices were positive. The staff was very friendly and caring. They all seemed to be genuine animal lovers. At Wellesley Animal Hospital, the staff is very cold and unfriendly. They do not seem to go out of their way to make your pet feel comfortable in a stressful time for your pet. We have been going here for over 1 year thinking that maybe they were having a bad day but our experience is the same every time we go there. We are looking for a different vet now.

They've taken great care of our puppy. They're always nice, everyone clearly loves the animals, and the visits are always painless, on time and a good experience for the dog.

Dr Hartman is great! She truly loves animals. I have taken every dog I have had to her since they were puppies through adulthood. She was super compassionate when she told me my first dog had a tumor....
Dr Hartman is great! She truly loves animals. I have taken every dog I have had to her since they were puppies through adulthood. She was super compassionate when she told me my first dog had a tumor. I am not a fan of the other vets in the practice. They have mis-diagnosed (heart problem, etc) and said they the dog needs an expensive (EKG) test come to find out nothing was wrong in the first place. I just continue to make appointments with Dr. Hartman only.

We have been taking our dog here for 10 years and have had only great experiences. They are wonderful with the animals and have been able to quickly diagnose and deal with each health issue that has arisen. They always answer all of our questions and I completely trust them with the health of my dog. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been taking my cats and dog to Wellesley Animal Hospital for 14 years and cannot say enough good things about Dr. Hartman, Dr. Tast, Dr. Jeffers, and the entire staff. Not only are they extremely competent and knowledgeable, but they are also caring and compassionate. They listen to you; they explain diagnoses and treatments in as much detail as you need, and they are wonderful with the animals. I drive 45 minutes to go there. I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone.

Wellesley Animal Hospital is wonderful! I drive my rabbits all the way from downtown Boston because I completely trust them there. They take such good care of them and are always willing to talk to us if we are worried about something. In addition, we board our rabbits there when we go on vacation and everyone there is so sweet! They know our rabbits by name and love having them come in. I completely trust that they are well cared for when they are there (much more so than when we have had people come feed them once or twice during the day) because they are held, played with, and fed regularly throughout the day. Unless I move out of the Boston area, I won't bring pets anywhere else, even with the long drive.

Most experiences we have had with veterinary offices were positive. The staff was very friendly and caring. They all seemed to be genuine animal lovers. At Wellesley Animal Hospital, the staff is very cold and unfriendly. They do not seem to go out of their way to make your pet feel comfortable in a stressful time for your pet. We have been going here for over 1 year thinking that maybe they were having a bad day but our experience is the same every time we go there. We are looking for a different vet now.
