Never going back to this place ever again! No sympathy what so ever! Brought my cat in because he hasn't had any bowel movements in 2 day's and, stopped drinking and eating. They basically left me in the room for over 2 hours, brought my cat back in to inform me there was 2 emergencies and I had to wait. Finally the doctor came in and told me that they need to keep him over night to give him edemas and fluid. 1,000 dollars! And, if he needed to be cleaned out by them, 2,000 all up front! I don't have that kind of money. Doctor basically told me if I don't come up with it, there is nothing they can do! So basically if my cat didn't produce a movement, he would die. I was so pissed. Finally agreed to an edema and some fluid, all I could afford. Then they brought me my cat back, not holding him properly and basically shoved him in his box like they couldn't be bothered! Told me if he still wasn't pooping to bring him back. 50 dollars an edema. I ended up paying 184 bucks! 115 just to walk in to be seen. I will never go back there again! High way robbery and the way they talked to me was uncalled for! I paid 16 bucks for an over the counter medicine and, thank god he is back to normal. I will be bringing him else where if something else should come up. Don't recomend this place unless you rob a bank and are ready to be treated like trash if you are not wealthy! Read Less

The staff here treated my terminal cat with a lot of respect. They explain every option and understand the bond and love between an animal and a person. I lost my George to a blood clot from end stage heart failure. Well should I say he became paralyzed and his lungs were filled. It was very very emotional for me for he WAS MY FAMILY. The doctor was so gentle as I held him and sang to him ( I don't know why he hated my singing). I thought for a moment that the doctor was getting a little emotional. If you have a stray or injured animal you are unwilling to pay for bring it to the designated places or call animal control!! Don't bring it to an emergency facility then give them bad reviews for not doing what you want them to. It's not their job and it happens all the time. Sometimes if one of the employees are willing to pay for the treatment or adopt the animal then they can help it but they are unable to give free treatment. It's not heartless, that's just the way it is. Many times vets will remove the cost of their time (which is a small fraction of a bill) but they can't for everything that is used. That is property owned by the hospital and meds and anesthesia is expensive. They can do it sometimes with approval but there is a limit. It's terrible to beat down the people that devote their lives to animals and their welfare for something they really wish they could do. I promise the staff were more upset then all you complainers were and it would have been different if you "took them somewhere else", somewhere they are meant to get help in that situation. Don't be lazy and drive further or call around before showing up and dropping off. That is all on you. Read Less

I had to bring my dog in for a broken claw on the weekend. The veterinary staff at NEAMC was awesome! Dr. Doyon took care of my dog while I was there. My consultation with her was pleasant and gentle. The most impactful employee there was Nicki. She came out to the waiting area and took a look at my dog while on her knees, and was very friendly and compassionate. I would have rated NEAMC as five stars, if I had not overheard the receptionist complaining at length to another pet owner, about a customer. I did not think that was appropriate at all. But since I did not have to deal with that woman too much, I still rate it 4 stars. I gained much trust in them there and glad the bill was under $200! Thank you! PS: Pirate says WOOF! Read Less

I brought my 8 month old boxer pup here after two biopsies (performed at her vets office), of a growth on her wrist, left us with more questions than answers. Dr. Townsend and all the medical staff we have come into contact with have been absolutely amazing. My Harleigh has received excellent care, had the growth removed and is now in the process of recovering. Although I have nothing but praise for the medical staff and receptionists alike, I wish I could say the same for the business office. It took me two weeks, several phone calls, being lied to and an angry email in order to receive my reimbursement (deposit for surgery exceeded the actual cost) that should have been processed the next day. They also helped themselves to my money, without my permission, to cover a visit that should have been billed to me. If it weren't for the fact that I am extremely pleased with the services my Harleigh has received, I would be taking my business elsewhere. The NEAMC business office lacks professionalism and accountability for their actions. Even the Hospital Administrator made an assumption regarding MY money because her staff did not follow through with her request. Instead of following up with her staff, she assumed their lack of response mean the situation was status quo, therefore my reimbursement was NEVER processed.Read Less

I have been taking my dogs here for about 20 years. The emergency center, which is a different operation than the regular hospital is quite expensive, but I have found similar charges at Tufts Animal Hospital. The regular animal hospital is not inexpensive, but they have saved several of my dogs' lives and I have found the staff to be very compassionate and caring. I now carry pet insurance on the dogs we have now. I checked with an animal hospital, which is much closer to our home and their prices were comparable and they don't have overnight staff. N.E.A.M.C. does have a team of qualified professionals, including veterinarians, there all night long. What is the sense in having a hospitalized pet, if there is nobody there to care for them? Read Less

I've had to bring my cat Pinky there two times for an issue she has. The last time was last night. The phone calls before bringing her in were quite painful however once there please know the docs are FANTASTIC and probably have no idea what the receptionists put you through (torture). My advice to anyone is skip the call and just bring your animal in. The care for your animal is fantastic. I have thought about applying for a part time job there so that maybe I can make a difference with how the pet owner feels when they call in desperate for help with their pet. Read Less

I recently (as in the last 24 hours) had to bring my puppy in for emergency aid and the doctor there made the whole process so much easier on me and my little pup! I can't thank the doctors and vet techs enough for making it a little easier on me when I had to leave her over night for observation and close watch! I would recommend west bridgewater animal hospital to anybody in a split second! Thank you doctor Wawrzenski for taking such great care of my Gracie girl!

WOW!! This place is amazing, and I have probably been to every Vet/Animal Hospital in the RI & Mass area. Brought in Shanti for a consult with Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Forrest Townsend. Shanti is a young pup that we rescued from being put to sleep because she could not use her back legs. Dr. Townsend saw her and was a HUGE help determining our game plan for this angel. Everyone was fantastic. From the front desk to the Vet tech, Josh. Just awesome! 5 stars for sureRead Less

We brought our cat there due to an odor coming from her mouth and some weight loss. They conducted blood work, discovering she had no kidney, liver, or other issues. The vet stated the odor was due to some minor tooth decay and recommended we have dental work done.
One month later we brought her to have dental work done to another veterinarian and discovered she had a large growth under her tongue that was most likely cancer. She died within a week.
It is unacceptable they would have missed this. Read Less
