The staff at Westford animal hospital were there for us when our beloved 3 year old cat was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer that could not be treated. They were compassionate, professional and understanding. After one of the most horrible days my family and I had to go through in our lives, during which the staff was VERY respectful and gentle, we received a hand written card from them, saying that they're thinking about us in this time of loss. The staff that helped us each wrote a beautiful message. I never had to go through this before, so I don't know if this is a common practice, but this card really touched us. I am very thankful for how thoughtful these people are. Other than the good experience we had with them while our cat was still healthy and alive, they truly showed us their humanity and compassion during these last few awful weeks. Read Less

You won't be disappointed. 0 stars for Dr. Freeman the newest vet-yikes! She made quick incorrect assumptions on my pet because I had him pass by a nervous dog instead of greet her. She advised me never to walk my dog, never go to a dog park, not to socialize him, to drug him, etc. & treated him like he was out of control. He never jumped, the only sound he made was a faint whine as a dog passed by the door, was laying down for over 10 minutes waiting for her to finish demeaning my ability to have & train a dog (I've had dogs for 30+ years & studied/attended courses at all levels of dog training), then phoned in a tranquilizer to a pharmacy I've never used after repeatedly asking my choice of pharmacy. Overall couldn't have been a more awful experience. I've always given 5 stars to Westford Animal Hospital but this new vet addition-yikes! Read Less

I moved to Westford about a year ago and needed a vet for my 14 year old. She needed dental surgery and I am so happy I chose to bring her here. Dr. Vickery and the Staff were kind sweet and caring to my pet and the surgery went great! She had to have a lot of teeth removed in her old age and now she is playing around, purring and clearly not in any pain. I was so impressed with the care she received I brought my other cat a 9 year old Male for a check up as well. While a suggle bun at home, he is quite the opposite of sweet when it comes to exams. He will strike at will. Once again, but in a very different situation, Dr. Vickery knew how to handle my pet caringly and safely perform the exam. Lucky to report he is in great shape and I have found a wonderful vet!!!! Read Less

I recently switched to this vet based on a recommendation from a business associate.  I brought my two cats in on a Saturday morning and the friendly receptionist chatted with me and checked out my adorable kitties during our brief wait.  It made us feel super welcome as newcomers! We met the Vet, Dr. Coryn Vickrey in a clean exam room where it was ok for the cats to roam freely when they weren't being examined.  Even my nervous Nelly cat was relaxed and not stressed out at all.  They each got a thorough but gentle exam and even shots with no trouble at all!   The Dr. brought something to my attention for me to keep an eye on, but didn't charge me for a battery of premature tests. The price was very reasonable even though we were new patients (I really expected a lot more!) and we left through a separate entrance which meant there was no chance to run into other pets that may have scared mine.Overall it was the best Vet experience in my memory and I'm excited to say that we will be staying here as patients indefinitely. My husband and I recently adopted our precious dog Maddie from a shelter. Her backstory is quite sad. Before coming to our home, she was used as a puppy factory by a breeder down south and discarded. We immediately fell in love with her and thought that since she had spent her whole life making babies, it was her time to be the baby and be given the type of life and love she deserves. We were in search of a veterinarian when we stumbled upon this wonderful gem. They say first impressions mean the most. For Dr. Vickrey and her amazing staff, this rings true. When we came in for the initial appointment, we were pleasantly greeted and felt very welcome. The office was very clean, organized, and bright. One of the techs, Kelly, was very kind and friendly. You could tell everyone loved what they were doing. Dr. Vickrey answered all of our questions and addressed each of our concerns regarding Maddie's condition. Overall, she confirmed Maddie was in good health. Due to mistreatment by the breeders, however, she required many teeth extractions, likely caused by her chewing on her cage and complete neglect. Thankfully she now has a wonderful doctor to make sure she gets the proper medical care and a family who will love her unconditionally. They were very transparent about treatment costs and presented the min/max estimate range. We never felt pressured in making our decisions. We felt very confident that Dr. Vickrey and her staff would take wonderful care of our precious fur baby so we immediately scheduled her dental surgery within 2 days. This gave us some comfort in knowing that Maddie would eventually not have to suffer anymore with her mouth pain. Before leaving the office, we were given all of her pre-op instruction and preventative medications. On the morning of the procedure, we were greeted by another lovely tech named Ashley. We were a little nervous so Ashley took the extra time to sit with us and help put our minds at ease. Dr. Vickrey came out into the waiting area and went over the procedure with us in detail. You can tell she wants only the best for our newest family member. We trust and value her years of experience and guidance with our Maddie. Later, Ashley called and indicated that everything went well. Given the fact that Maddie was under anesthesia for a lengthy amount of time, they requested to monitor her until they closed, which was reassuring to us. When we finally went to pick her up, we were happy to see our baby with her tail wagging and to hear that she had already eaten. They took such wonderful care of Maddie, who even made a new friend in the office cat. Ashley went over all of the post-op instructions and made us laugh with her wonderful sense of humor regarding her x-ray techniques. She is such a joy and you can see why she is an asset to their team. Then Dr. Vickrey came in and went over the details and answered all of our questions. We couldnt be happier. If you are looking for a veterinarian for the first time or if you are looking to switch, we highly recommend Dr. Vickrey and her staff. They are honest, kind, professional, and have mastered their craft and will treat your pet as their own. You will truly feel they are a part of your team in raising a happy and healthy pet. They are simply amazing! Read Less

Nothing but good things to say! Just moved to the area with my four dogs. Three have been to see Dr. Vickrey and one to see Dr. Vicik, and both of these vets have been very professional, warm, and knowledgeable. As I am a scientist, Dr. Vickrey spent extra time discussing the scientific details of the different Lyme disease vaccines, and she really knew her stuff! All of the staff members are very kind and sweet. One of my dogs' health failed and sadly, he needed to be put down, and they were compassionate and understanding, helping me through the difficult decision the whole way. Read Less

We're new to the area and wanted to get established with a local vet. It was simple to setup an appointment for a checkup for our dog, we we're able to request times online & were contacted to finalize a date / time.Staff were friendly & offices were more "modern" then previous vets I've been to (which were in an old house). Checkup went well, however there was a guest vet filling in for the primary vet. She was super nice & competent but seemed a little unsure here and there for specific inquiries regarding the practices & their procedures (which is understandable). Only downside was a test that was needed for my dog was overlooked & wasn't caught while we were there, however we we're immediately called the following day to bring the missed test to our attention / schedule a follow up.Overall good experience, we will continue to go here. I used to see Dr. Vickrey back in Belmont, and when she moved, it was a little far, so I switched to a new vet. When my cat was having problems that the new vet couldn't seem to solve, I decided to make the drive to go to someone I trusted. I had forgotten just how much I like Dr. Vickrey, how she is genuinely concerned for my cat, and how thorough she is. My cat is much better now. One word---wrong!   They both misdiagnosised my Westie last  August and it cost me hundreds of dollars.   They had me running ridiculous blood tests checking everything from thyroid to liver to immune system. We were moving to California and I was frantic to travel with a healthy dog.  Once we arrived in Santa Clara I started all over again as my dog still was having trouble walking.  Immediately that knowledgable ,educated vet uncovered a fungus on her front feet .  With in 2 weeks my dogs was back to normal.I feel taken for about $600 from Westford. For Dr. Vickrey, Dr. Vicik and their amazing staff, this rings true. When we came in for the initial appointment, we were pleasantly greeted by Janet at the front desk who was delightful, professional and made us feel very welcome..  The office was very clean, organized, and bright. One of the techs, Kelly, another smiling face ,was very kind and friendly. You could tell everyone loved what they were doing.Dr. On the morning of the procedure, we were greeted by Janet again and to our surprise, she was smiling at 7:45 AM on a Monday morning. Which was quite refreshing. We were a little nervous so another lovely tech named Ashley, took the extra time to sit with us and help put our minds at ease. Dr. Vickrey came out into the waiting area and went over the procedure with us in detail. You can tell she wants only the best for our newest family member. We trust and value her years of experience and guidance with our Maddie.Later, Ashley called and indicated that everything went well. Given the fact that Maddie was under anesthesia for a lengthy amount of time, they requested to monitor her until they closed, which was reassuring to us. When we finally went to pick her up, we were happy to see our baby with her tail wagging and to hear that she had already eaten. They took such wonderful care of Maddie, who even made a new friend in the office cat (Josh). Ashley went over all of the post-op instructions and made us laugh with her wonderful sense of humor regarding her x-ray techniques. She is such a joy and you can see why she is an asset to their team. Then Dr. Vickrey came in and went over the details and answered all of our questions. We couldn't be happier. If you are looking for a veterinarian for the first time or if you are looking to switch, we highly recommend Dr. Vickrey ,Dr Vicik and their entire staff. They are honest, kind, professional, and have mastered their craft and will treat your pet as their own. You will truly feel they are a part of your team in raising a happy and healthy pet. They are simply amazing!UPDATE::::We had the pleasure of meeting Dr Vicik for the first time today (1/12/15). She is very personable, pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and treated our Maddie with the utmost care. You can tell she truly loves animals and gives you the time needed to ask and answer all of your questions. We are so happy and admire each member of the team even more, as if that were possible. They totally rock!

I was also pleased with how compassionate and attentive the staff is. Westford is very lucky to have them. Read Less
