So this "Doctor" diagnosed my dog with a "virus" and I took him to get a second opinion and it ended up being lymphoma. I highly recommend seeking another vet before you see him. He has no compassion toward animals whatsoever. Read Less

My husband has been going to the Wilmington Veterinary Hospital (Dr. Kim) for a long time and didn't want to change to a new Vet after we moved to Waltham. I wanted to find some place closer to home, but I must say, I am glad we didn't!!!!Dr. Kim and Stacey are the BEST! The staff couldn't be nicer and they are always very accommodating with our schedule. Its not easy finding a Vet that loves your pet and takes the time to care for them as if they were their own. At first look his pricing may seem average or inline with other vets but there have been times where I've felt I'm cheating him, never the other way around. Our beloved Black Lab Jetty died on June 18th, 2012. He was just over 2 years old. Since August 2010 he battled some more problems but overall he did pretty well. However, he took a turn for the worst around March 2012, when he began coughing a lot, vomiting, also had some seizures from time to time. We took him to our local vet in Wilmington, MA. The man's name was Dr. Kim. And we brought Jetty into him about 3 times before June to look at his throat due to the coughing. Dr. Kim kept on insisting it was nothing to worry about, a kennel cough most likely. Well come to find out, Dr. Kim was dead wrong and in the end cost Jetty his life.....The next part of the story I do not want to get into too much detail because it was the worst day of my life. But to sum things up, that morning on June 18th, Jetty was coughing up large amounts of blood all over the place. He was peeing on the rug, he was so scared. My wife and I rushed him to the E.R vet where they said he had an extreme case of pneumonia which Dr. Kim missed. It was too late for Jetty at this point to be saved so my wife and I had to put him down, our best friend was now dead.  It was a missed diagnosis of pneumonia that caused our Jetty to die.  I layed him to rest that night in the back yard where he loved it the most.I advise anyone out there, please DO NOT GO TO WILMINGTON VET, STAY AWAY FROM DR. I have gone through a lot of veterinarians over the past fifteen years and this place by far is the most caring and attentive. The staff is wonderful, kim and kara are always friendly and helpful. I would give 0 stars, if possible. Isaw Dr.Kim.. I took my new dog there, I knew everything was wrong!! Did not listen to anything we said.. VERY condenscending.. Asked for BACKUP? with a 3lb dog..... Really?? Instead of trying to soothe the dog, or get to know him. He was aggressive and aggravated by the dog. Seemed annoyed everytime we asked questions. I kept telling him my dog was itching continuously... He told me, "he's growing into his skin.." Well, good thing we left because he dog actually had mites!!!! Tried to give extra medication and injections that were NOT needed!! SO glad we are done with this place!!! Read Less

I found this Vet in a time of great need. I needed to have a cat put down. My former Vet sold his business to new owners who I found had no compassion, and were all about charging for unnecessary services. I cannot say enough good things about Wilmington Veterinary Hospital. Kim, the receptionist was very caring and professional, as was Dr. Kim. They explained everything that I needed to know, and made the situation as comfortable as possible. Their fee was quite reasonable, and the handwritten sympathy card they sent afterward, was the ultimate in showing their compassion.  Do not hesitate to make this your Vet.  It is now my Vet for my multiple cats.8/25/2015Update: I have been going here for years now for my cats, and now my dog and could not ask for a more professional pleasant place to bring my pets for care.
