Sunray Animal Clinic is a well-established, full-service, small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also work closely with local practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. The facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas.

I brought my dog in on Monday as he wasn't eating like he normally does,,, Dr. Ann was the one to take care of him,, she checks his heart, lungs, stomach all's good these she says.. I told her it may be a tooth and his hearing in the past few weeks isn't normal , she pulls out her iPhone has it make a noise ya your right he's not hearing well she says,, really I no what I'm talking about!!Proceeds to look in his mouth and says yup bad tooth needs to come out, I'm like ok what about and X-ray, blood work??? Oh he will get that before surgery I'll go get u some antibiotics and pain meds and an estimate on taking out the tooth,,,,, that estimate was the most important thing to her all about the damn money!!came back in gave me the paper with the amount 968.00 for his tooth but if I wanted to save money I didn't have to have blood work done before surgery,,, really like I'd say no to that,, it is important!! Should have been done the day I came in as an X-ray but that didn't happen I tried but I'm not the Vet!! We left and went home on Tuesday he slowed down eating I called and asked them if it was normal for him not to be eating well, I was told the medicine can sometimes do that to a dog!! Well surgery for his tooth was over two weeks away!! Wednesday eve he was just laying around which he did a lot but then in the wee hours of the morning he went to get up and his back legs were not working right ,, I was beside myself in worry ran out started my car and it was a blizzard outside but didn't matter I was going to rush him to the emergency vet in Portland,, he tried getting up again collapsed and I caught him and he died!! I'm heart broken and feel if she had giving him blood work and an X-ray that day I brought him in I would still have my baby!! I will never ever go to her ever again!! It's all about the money I feel and on to the next patient!! Office visit is $50 for what?? I'm sick over this and if this will save someone else's dog that would make me feel better!!

I have lived in the Midcoast area for most of my life, and I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. Dr Anne and the rest of the staff at Sunray care more about the animals than they do about the bott...
I have lived in the Midcoast area for most of my life, and I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. Dr Anne and the rest of the staff at Sunray care more about the animals than they do about the bottom line. We have a cat that was experiencing severe urinary tract distress. After trying medications, which were ineffective, my wife and I decided it was time to let him go. But Dr Anne suggested a simple exploratory procedure that revealed a growth in his bladder. Our cat is now happily playing tag with his sister, and my wife couldn't be happier. We wholeheartedly recommend Sunray to all our pet loving friends and neighbors.

Horrible customer service. I brought my cat into the vet because her eye was swollen and leaking fluid. They diagnosed her with conjunctivitis and gave us some meds to put into her eye and told us if ...
Horrible customer service. I brought my cat into the vet because her eye was swollen and leaking fluid. They diagnosed her with conjunctivitis and gave us some meds to put into her eye and told us if the symptoms did not improve in a week to bring her back. The charge for the visit was a little over $90.00. A week later her symptoms did not improve so we brought her back. Same diagnosis, different medication, same cost, same instructions. Her condition has worsened and has spread into both eyes. I went in today to speak to the Vet about further actions, and the fact that I have already dropped almost $200.00 in vet costs to get nothing positive in return. She said I could bring her back in for another exam. I told her I didnt want to drop annother $90+ dollars on fees when the problem shouldve been resolved after the first visit. Her response to me was that it was probably viral so we would have to just let it run its course and there is nothing else she can do. Verry frustrated with the service here, and would not recomend to a friend...or enemy for that matter!
