I've always had great service here but today the lady at the counter was extremely rude. I was told something over the phone but when I got there the lady didn't know why the other girl had told me that I could get one month of Heart Guard and Next guard for my dog...I have taken her there for all her shots and she is due for here 1 year next month...I work 3rd shift and had to change my sleep schdule just to make it there. My other dog that I brought with me has never been there but I only got her a couple months ago and she got all her shots somewhere else...I brought her records and over the phone was again promised she could get the same meds. However, the rude lady told me the dog had to have a visit obviously just wanting more money out of me. After complaining I got ONE dose of Nexguard, which isnt enough to protect both of my dogs who were both exposed to ticks this past weekend. It was very upsetting to me that I couldn't get the proper meds to my babies- I drove 40 mins total to be lied to. Love Dr. Dawn and her staff! I have a very large "mommy's boy" dog that I was taking to a vet close to me. I could not stand how they would take my dog to the back away from me to do anything which completely stressed him out. I met Dr. Dawn when she came out for an equine emergency at my barn. I like how she handled the situation and with a lot of people at my barn recommending her I switched. This was the best decision I could have made for my dog and my pocket book! Dr. Dawn immediately noticed my dog's attachment to me and told me to stay close to him to help soothe him. I have been there for about 2 years now and I have never received such great care for him and for my nervousness when he has been sick. My old vet is 5 minutes from my house and they are almost 30 but I will never go anywhere else! Read Less

I normally don't write bad reviews, but this clinic really made me frustrated. I had purchased a puppy from someone who brought them here for there first check up. I really didn't want to have him switch vets and had heard great things about this place so I decided to give this clinic a try. I brought my other dog with me for the appointment to see how things would go. They are good with animals, but their people skills/customer service is very lacking. when the session was over I found out how over priced this clinic is. I was on the fence about keeping my dogs there because of how expensive they are. Don't get me wrong I understand vets aren't cheap, but their prices make it seem like they are just in it for the money. What really threw me over the edge was when I got home and saw that they had given me the wrong heartworm medication. They gave me the medication for a smaller dog making it ineffective for my dog. I was furious. What would have happened if I wasn't paying attention to dosage?! The medicine wouldn't of worked putting my dog at risk! If the client has to double check what the vet prescribes them why are we charged to so much!? That's their job! Well I got in my car and drove all the way back to get the correct prescription and upon my arrival I was told I was going to have to pay even more money!!! So I had to drive all the way back (wasting my gas) and pay more for something that wasn't even my fault! Needless to say I will be keeping my dogs at their vet and switching the puppy there to! I understand vets have a tight schedule, but that doesn't mean you should neglect to check to make sure you give the proper dose! What if it would of been something more serious like an steroid or anesthetic!! I am never going back! Take your animals to hillcrest in Hudson! I had been referred to Blissfield Vet by several people who routinely take their animals there, so I felt pretty good about taking my cat there for surgery. When we got there, it seemed like an OK place and I felt comfortable leaving my cat there overnight to recover. When I picked her up the next day, I was immediately hit by a wave of animal smells - it smelled like all the kennels were dirty and had been for a while. But I took her home and didn't have any problems for about a month, when she started limping pretty badly. I took her to another vet who said that she had a pretty serious infection in her paw, and when opening the wound they found an 8 MM PIECE OF BONE that had been LEFT IN HER PAW after surgery. Shame, shame on the vet at Blissfield Veterinary for leaving such a large and important piece of the surgery behind!!! The staff were all helpful, and I had no problems with them. But to leave your work behind and stitching an animal up is ridiculously unprofessional and disgusting. I would never, ever recommend anyone take their pet here. Read Less

You cannot ask for more of a compassionate team for your pet's medical needs. Since the first day we walked into this clinic to provide acupuncture treatment for our elderly dog, we knew this is the place we wanted to provide complete health care for our pet.
